She does Not Care about what is outside her lane, she don't know shit about the fade outside whatever the chantry repeated all her life, but she respects people's strengths, and i think that's where she tries to find common ground in people. Like, even though she's surprised when vivienne doesnt recognize/respects her in return, she doesn't let that shake her. bc she's still

1. a mage and, 2. an asshole

but varric... he can do everything she can in combat, he's also funny, laidback, easy to talk to, The Head of a spy network that he makes run...

Okay. This screenshot is taken right before the fall of the pillars where Varric looks like he's about to run. See the empty space to the left of Varric's right shoulder (viewer's left)?

After the pillars shatter, that space behind Varric's shoulder becomes occupied by a stocky someone lying prone with a green, sparking thing embedded in their chest. They lift their head to look down at the thing, then their head falls back to the cobblestones.

I am pretty sure that's Varric. This all happens between 20:05-20:09 in the video.
