Hello! Welcome to my blog! I write for a variety of different fandoms. I am in the historical/ museum community so it might take me some time to communicate! I have a love for vintage fashion (especially the 1940s) & wear it everyday! Since I work primarily at a military museum, I’ll try to make my writing as historically accurate as I can. I will say some topics are incredibly difficult for me to write about (I’ve witnessed one too many military funerals) & obviously certain kinks are off the table. I do hope you enjoy my blog!

Best remembered for portraying private detective 'Nick Charles' in the six films of "The Thin Man Series (1934 -1947). He also appeared in the films: "Libeled Lady", "My Man Godfrey" (both from 1936) and "Life With Father" (1947). 🍸 🎭
🎉 Celebrating the life of American film actress Carole Lombard who was born 114 years ago this date; October 6th, 1908 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Though she did appear in dramas, Carole was best known for her roles in comedies which earned her the title; "The Queen of Screwball Comedies" 🎭.
Christmas maybe over; but now that the family has left it gives me time to sit, relax and enjoy Barbara at her holiday best 🎄🎅 🎁.

Sinatra's Twin Palms
One fine day in May 1947 Frank Sinatra walked into the office of Architect E. Stewart Williams and stated that he wanted him to build him a house but it had to be done by Christmas, and wanted to be done in a Georgian Style. This style was not suited to the Palm Springs climate, so Stewart Williams presented him with two designs one in the Georgian style he had requested and another more modern, low built, that blended in with the Desert surroundings and colours.
Thankfully Sinatra choose this design and incredibly Williams built the House in time for Christmas, it was the family run firm Williams, Williams & Williams first private home commission and would become the house to set the trend for architecture in Palm Springs.
What a great history, would have loved to have been at one of Sinatra's Legendary parties in that house, as we all know that Dean Martin, Ava Gardner and all of Old Hollywood would come and stay, he would cut some of his records there using the wonderfully named Valentino Electronics of Hollywood.
The Twin Palms Estate as it was named can be rented, shame Frank Sinatra and friends don't come with the house, those were the days.
