Geminitay Appreciation Week Day 2: Gem w/ a Hermit of your Choice

I really enjoyed watching Gem and Stress set up the prismarine farm, so I decided to draw them on a lunch break while working on it

This is my first time drawing Stress!! Love her color palette, very fun to draw :D

She'll probably look a bit different next time i draw her since I haven't quite figured out what I want to do with her design

this is very rough around the edges, but i think that's alright. Would've liked to add more shading and clean up the background but I've run out of time

I haven't done this process with sketch lines before, just ink lines. I like how it turned out!

Also this prompt got me to get around to starting watching Gem's hermitcraft pov while i drew this, so hooray! I'm on episode 7 and I'm having a great time :D

School's on break so I'll have plenty of time to do the rest of the prompts. I really like drawing Gem ^^

mumbo design sketches!

I'm playing around with the idea that he's a shapeshifter who tries to look like a regular human, but there's always something off about him

for one thing, mumbo's eyes never reflect light, and they frequently devolve into little dots

and his form is inconsistent, sometimes because he just forgot what he was supposed to look like and made himself a couple inches taller, sometimes because some details slipped away because he was startled, or distracted focusing on something else

Just a sketch, because i spent at least an hour just trying to get the pose how i wanted it and then got distracted playing Minecraft. I'd like to try and finish it sometime this week though ^^

I think this is the first time I've drawn a MCYT ship! It was very fun, I went back and watched some episodes of Last Life while I drew this.

I'm hoping to make art for the rest of the days, but I'll probably go a bit simpler and less polished going forward so I can also have time to do responsible things like sleeping

I've been meaning to get around to drawing them for weeks but kept getting distracted, so this is more unfinished than I'd hoped, but i think odds are i wasn't going to get around to polishing or coloring it

i haven't drawn either of them very often, so i don't quite have my designs for them figured out and they'll probably look different next time i draw them!

For both of them, I drew the lineart version in my sketchbook and then colored it in digitally on my phone with ibis paint. I used a stylus for the older one which I've since lost and not bothered to replace so i just used my finger to color the more recent one.

let me know if there's any other content warning tags i should add! I think this is the only time i've drawn these two, I mainly drew this because i found a cool blue pen i wanted to play around with, but they're a ghost and a zombie who are friends! The zombie wraps a scarf around her neck to pass as human so she can buy things for her and the ghost. I like thinking about what their story could be if i extended it. I think it'd have a mix of light hearted tone and darker themes. Maybe they'd work to solve their murders, maybe it'd just explore what their undeath is like for them. They'd fall in love i think. Also wow this photo is not good. That is a constant struggle of being a traditional artist trying to post my stuff online, I take photos with my phone and i am not very good at it, it is so hard to get good lighting that isn't too yellow and doesn't wash out the lines and doesn't cast the shadow of my phone across the paper!! And also i have to keep my phone still and focus so the lines aren't blurry

Homestuck sketches from 2 weeks ago that I KEPT FORGETTING TO POST!!! forgetting to post things is a constant issue for me. At any given moment in time, i will have just so many arts in a mental queue to get posted but i will put it off, so most of what i draw stays unshared in my sketchbook forever. I think doing oldartober has kind of helped me break out of that a little though, which is cool! Posting stuff seems to flow a bit more naturally now than before i started it.

I've never drawn her before so i wasn't quite sure what to do with her design, but i thought the deer hybrid features id seen people draw her with were cute :D I decided to experiment a bit with the shading and use the circle tool, not sure how i feel about it but i think i'd like to play around with it a bit more I think i'd like to draw her again, but with traditional medium. I think her design would lend itself well to watercolors. also she's a lot chibi-er here than i'd probably do in traditional. To be honest i have kind of mixed feelings about how this piece looks, it feels pretty rough to me. I do like how i did the shading and highlights on gem though
