Anyone to know the floor time? :)
There is something special about sitting on the floor when you are tired, want something new and want to calm yourself "down".

With my books, with my exam notes, with my loads of Chrome tabs :') Currently I'm preparing for an English exam that is necessary for my master's applications. Pray for me pleaseee :)))
Additionally, I need to declare my love for the yellow light because it changes the whole aura of the room, especially the desk. For me, it feels like home and I feel safe somehow.

Reading breaks are the best breaks, especially when you crave for touching and smelling books after a long exposure of screens.
The book is about Polyvagal Theory, about our neural structure, and I'm already loving it. Thanks to this book, I am aware of my reactions, my body and broken schemes I have lol.

From my last assignments of undergraduate degree.
My tactic for article based assignments is that reading the whole article first, then scanning the whole based on the prompt, and finally marking the very important and selected parts and starting to write with a detailed draft.
Also, sorry for my messy table :)

Ah I missed my old study space...
My desk was wide and free. I could fit many things sometimes but when I wanted spacious, it was what I needed.

Studying learning with a cup of tea :')

new york, new york 🖤
“he wished being alive always felt this good”
crying over TikToks because you love women (/pos)
googling fake Shakespeare quotes (it turned out to be a quote from Tumblr)
writing down an idea for a drawing that you dreamed of in your half-sleep
learn by heart a poem by Lermontov or Pushkin
changing three pillows (one of the pillows is a sweater with a scarf), eventually just falling asleep on a mattress
doing 20 push-ups at five in the morning, because it's better than scratching your skin and quieter than hitting a pillow
looking up the translation of a word (from the language you're learning) that came to mind and you're not 100% sure what it means
i am so sorry i am only reading the secret history for the first time because i feel like i am missing a lot of details that can only be noticed by re-reading the book. i'm on chapter three and so far every chapter talks about immortality and "living forever." i am wondering if this will last longer and how it will be mentioned in the chapter with bunny's murder. if it will be mentioned at all?
and the whole third chapter can probably be considered the character's first test of the idea of immortality. and already here he faces reality - the proximity of death for any person, the fragility of life (and btw, it is significant that he does not fully realize that he can die, since life among his Greek circle makes him not think about it, they constantly repeat to him 'live forever' no one discusses death).
AND THIS IS WHEN MOST OF THE THINGS HE DID CARE TO TELL WERE LIES
CAN YOU IMAGINE A STRANGER ENTERING YOUR SMALL GROUP, HE IS VERY QUIET AND MYSTERIOUS. HE SAYS VERY FEW THINGS AND IN ALMOST EVERY CONVERSATION HE LIES
Honestly, this is the best scene that shows Henry's madness.
Interestingly, in the first class Richard attended, Julian asks about the one desire we all have. And Camilla says it's the desire to live. And Bunny adds:
"To live forever"
After all, he is the one who will be killed. And because of this, he will always live in the memory of others. Always young and never old
I kinda hope The Secret History never gets a movie adaptation because being forced to read the book is a test you have to pass to get into this fandom.

Reminder: studying is very important, but you have to study with techniques that work for you. don't burn yourself out by spending hours on end studying mindlessly, it won't bring you good results. find techniques that you feel make it easier and make you remember things best. Tam Kaur (on yt) has a great video on studying methods if you struggle with it! Good luck !! <3
me when - me
me when i should and kinda wanna go to the library to finish my assignments but that means getting dressed, getting on a bus ... and leaving the house
nuhuh
I started out this academic session with lot of determination but it all faded because of distractions so I am hoping to focus on discipline .......and tbh I would give this credit to my new friend who is so smart( and sweet also) but like very smart....looking at her...she inspires me to start studying and be smart as well....so thank you new friend for rekindling my flame of wanting to be an academic weapon.
And ofc I'll keep you all updated :)
Forgive me for seeing beauty in your sufferings, when there was only cruelty.
