BEHOLD! THE SONG I MADE FOR MARTRA’S CULTURE! It’s sang in Martrakoji, but someday I’ll made it in English too. Someday.
The translation is below, but lemme tell you a bit about this song! It was sang before wars, so the warriors would be encouraged. It means hope for Martrans, or at least, it meant, before Kenyan turning into Maivtre.
Now, people sing it in silence, only the first part, as a kind of revolt. If one sings it whole, they’re openly declaring they’re against Maivtre, and it often cause them to die. You get it? Their supposed goddess is now their enemy. It’s just how bad things are going on.

I’m glad you liked them 😭💖 tbh, Maya was a total extra character that wouldn’t appear for a long, LONG time, but I decided she’s gonna accompany Ethan cuz she’s too cool to just disappear🤙🏽 (and now I’m dying to rethink the whole story omg send help)
Hmmm I dunno what to say about Ethan without spoiling but, geez, he’s hard to write. His description is apparently simple: shy, insecure guy who wants to be loved. Simple. SO SIMPLE THAT IS HARD TO MAKE HIM LOOK LIKE A PROTAGONIST. He was made to be a normal guy amidst the weirdos, but because of this, it’s troublesome to highlight his own characteristics. Like, everything is related to somebody else, the drama is because of someone else… he doesn’t have any “active” decisions, and it’s annoying me 😭😭
I hope he gets to improve and realize he is not a spectator of his own life. He needs to act by himself, to do what he wants, and stop living for others. MOVE, BOY!

It is a drawing that I made in March 2024, and it is a redrawing from a drawing I made in December 2020.
I saw somebody on YouTube teaching how to paint with vibrant colors, but I don’t remember who it was, I’m sorry 💔 Anyway, it’s cool to see this drawing in black and white too.
What OC of mine would you spend a day with? And doing what with them?
And what OC would you avoid? Why?
Me: I’d spend a day with Ethan going in his favorite places (museums, parks, cafés) and eating sweet desserts.
And I’d avoid Behati because I’d be extremely uncomfortable with the amount of awkward silence ☠️

And I decided to draw a panther cuz they’re elegant in a scary way, such as Kenyan.

“Relationship”. I’m not sure about the meaning of this drawing because as I said, I’m trying hard to don’t overthink things. And the text in background is a gossip that goes around Martra:
“Did you hear the rumor? They say Maivtre has a lover, and Odabrani knows it! Why he doesn't act? Why he doesn't complain? He can be angry. Maivtre is being unfaithful and with her knight! Is that Lewie shameless?! They were siblings (close friends); nobody expected them to have this (love) relationship! And how did Maivtre lose at this sin? In all times, Maivtre and Odabrani were the perfect relationship (couple). How does she dare to destroy this reputation?”

Let’s gooooooo Kenyan will be purified of all evil 😇 I’ll make three parts (I guess), each one fighting her according to their beliefs (she’s a vampire, witch or alien?)
Kenyan despises plants, but she hates with more passion the ones that stink. And she has great senses, so she knew the food was doomed since the start, she just sniffed because it’s a habit.
As I said, she might be able to eat it, but the consequences can be hard… anyway, she just gotta pose “human” for everyone outside home.
(I’m not forgetting to draw her pointy ears. She uses magic to disguise them when people are around)

Yeah, my style is gradually degrading its quality 😝 Comics take too much time for something useless (it’s not relevant for the main story) and I will not spend more than a day to do it. And I know if I decide to continue it another day, I’ll never finish it ❤️

I’ll see if I’m with enough motivation to draw some “what if?” comics, with especial focus in “what if Kenyan didn’t left?” (but I’ll pretend she’d have Maivtre’s appearance cuz she’s prettier that way).
The gossip in neighborhood was about the birds’ disappearance! Suddenly, they weren’t appearing often, and they got worried some man was hunting them illegally.
Little they know that this adorable, innocent mum was just hungry. Earth’s food tastes awful, you know? Her tastebuds aren’t made for this.

Kenyan, my beloved, slaying again. It’s a bit confusing cuz I didn’t want to draw the details, but in the left are Martra’s citizens.
Maivtre is their goddess and queen, and despite Kenyan’s actions, they still believe in Maivtre and Odabrani. She is that magnetic force, pulling they all around her orbit and shining more than everyone. That’s just who she is: a star, The Sun.
But what happens to those who want to be close of her?
And when the Moon covers her shine?

Wow, they slay with Royal outfits 😩❤️ I was drawing Kenyan in the first pic and stopping to admire her beauty— she got me giggling like an idiot 🫣 but drawing clothes is so hard… I gave up on shading it.
Kenyan’s white clothes are to represent her purity as a goddess and honesty as a queen (or so it should be), and Sylris’s brown/yellow clothes are to represent the bond he is between Martra and Maivtre(Kenyan).
Kenyan doesn’t like having people touching her neck, so she puts the necklace herself. And she thought it was a servant who stole her rings (“pebble” is a bad word to call a Dawie, cuz it means they’re a insignificant and useless person) (if you don’t know, Dawies are made of stone and gems).
And Sylris is there, living the best life with the shiny stuff he “borrows” from his wife ✨

"Illusion". I was thinking about their daily lives, and I had an awesome idea (maybe no, but I like it).
Kenyan was in the forest with Hiélo, and he said something that made her laugh for real. Everything is normal so far. What changed is that Sylris was nearby, saw it, and took a picture of her (if they have magic, they have a way to take pictures).
Some days later, Kenyan found an enormous poster of her in the castle. All the servants thought she was amazing on it, so different from her usual self! However, Kenyan considered it a personal mocking, because it was a reminder of everything she wasn't anymore. Sylris didn't want to take it off, but she threatened to burn down the poster and the castle if he didn't, so he eventually gave up.
...and took it to his room. They had an agreement not to mess up each other's rooms, so Kenyan couldn't destroy the poster while it was there. Now she's trying to convince him to take that away, because it's too shameful to "deal" with Sylris while a happier version of her is judging her actions. You try to guess what actions, based on their appearance.
"You're insufferable."

“Date”. Ooh la la, love is in the air 💕 they even match clothes, what a married couple full of love and trust ❤️❤️❤️
Sylris always asks Kenyan to go out with him. When she accepts, he’s the one who prepares the moment; the place, time, food, music, activities… he’s super detailed with it.
Kenyan is grateful that at least he has some sense and won’t take her somewhere uncomfortable, but, ugh, it’s a bother to get dressed up just to go out with him. She needs to keep remembering the maids that it’s just a date, not a Royal party.

Of course, Kenyan is my favorite, this crazy woman who urgently needs some therapy and rest. Ain't she the prettiest? 🥰 But she's not a person you want to get involved with; she's either gonna kill you or drag you into her messes.
Behati is my second favorite! She's practical and doesn't need a lot to be fine, but she does her best to give everything her brother (Yuno) wants. Ah, she also holds a strong grudge against Maivtre, which is totally fair considering what happened.
And my baby Ethan 🥺 he's the moralistic soul among everyone, trying to convince them: "Murder is not normal, why do you solve problems like this???????". Coming from Earth, his mindset is pretty different from the rest, so he is a fresh breeze in their lives.
More old designs!!!!
Kenyan was Llyísma (how is it pronounced???), and the stereotypical Elfin Princess. Ask my younger me why the wings, cuz I’m unable to tell 😀 I don’t remember much of her previous story, but I know she was in love with her guard. She also participated in a rebellion (second drawing), but it doesn’t even make sense; Kenyan, wearing an armor and fighting straight on? I doubt it.
That’s Nalyke, currently Hiélo. I changed the name to Aliza cuz I was confusing it with Kenyan’s name, but some things happened at home and I considered safer to make Aliza a male, so now it’s Hiélo. The personality and lore itself didn’t change a lot, only the gender.
Ah, there was Hiélo’s siblings too, but now I don’t know if I should keep it or no. Maya (I mentioned her once) was his sister, but it’s not anymore. There’s also Izak, but I don’t know if I should even keep him as a character anymore.
That’s Izak, previously a guard and Sylris’s left hand. Now, IF he appears in my story, he’ll be a priest.
And that’s Yuno! Somehow, HE NEVER CHANGED! His name was always Yuno and his first appearance stays (except the eyes). But his personality is a question mark even now. I don’t know if he’d be more playful, serious, or shy, so I’ll just write his reactions and see how he acts through the book.

Unfortunately, I didn’t know yet that I should put dates on my drawings, so I don’t know when it was made, but if I had to guess, I’d say 2019-2020.
Ethan Yanner was Luke Harvery, 16yo, and had a magic pencil that turned drawings into reality. Also, Kenyan was dead and he’d bring her back to life using that pencil 😀
Behati Nearu was Kate Madeleine, 17yo, and she wanted revenge on the king that sent her parents to war—where they died, obviously, because apparently I have some obsession with dead parents ☠️
Here their name changed again (cuz why not). I guess Behati was Maki Gleiphnir, and Ethan was Hiroki Kotaro.
Many weird drawings, but I like to keep them so I can look at my drawings now and realize how great they are 🥰 tomorrow I post Kenyan’s, Hiélo’s and Yuno’s first designs!

That's Kenyan and Ethan when he was 8-10. She had left Martra to raise Ethan on Earth when he was a baby, so he has no idea that Martra exists.
To fit in, she's using magic to disguise her ears (some people can see its true shape if not looking directly at her/side-eye), hiding Ethan's ears with his hair and painting his hair brown. She didn't paint her hair cuz on Earth adults can paint hair, young children not.
It's sad that I can't explain every single detail, but all of them have a meaning ❤️ if you’re curious, you can guess their meanings based on what I already posted, or you can ask me; I’ll be glad to explain :)
Nixies
Nixies are like fairies. They’re born from flowers that survive Shizores’ rain/acid, not having any sexual or romantic relationships, only friendships. They also don’t have gender, having androgynous appearance.
They can’t talk (verbally), so they use gestures and touches to communicate. For this reason, they stay in groups to facilitate their interactions. A minority of them know how to write in Martrakoji, but they’re clumsy with it because they’re tiny, making it quite hard to talk to another species.
They don’t eat, but need to drink loads of water. They also don’t live for too long in a single life (when they die, they go back to dirt and may reincarnate in the future with some memories).
Their function is to protect plants and attack anyone who dares to destroy them. They clean the air, too, making it easier to breathe by breaking down heavier gases and increasing the oxygen saturation. Some of them have the capacity to restaure dead plants, or release a pollen that enhance airflow and heals living beings who passes there.
It’s always amazing to walk in their region, you can feel your lungs getting happy at breathing their air. You just need to be careful to don’t hurt any of them or the plants. They will chase you down with poison, diseases or block your oxygen until you die. 💚
Execution Mode
A badass queen ready to execute people ❤️ Kenyan doesn’t play in the job, even if she doesn’t really want it.
Her mask is made of bones because bones need extremely high temperatures to burn, like 1292 degrees Fahrenheit, or 700 degrees Celsius.
Well, when using her powers on living beings, no bones stay, but she wears that for the meaning (“Maivtre can’t get burned with her powers”, which is a lie everyone believes into). People also aren’t worthy of even looking at her face, so if she catches somebody gazing at her when she’s not wearing the mask, they burn immediately 💀
I didn’t stop to think how her powers work exactly, but I’m imagining something like agitating the molecules of a specific place. No, she doesn’t have fire coming from her hands, the target just gets hot really fast and then the fire appears.
So, if she makes some hand gestures in public, is just to make it dramatic. In reality, she just needs to focus a bit in something and it will burn. I love her 😝
Ah, and in this specific moment of the drawing, she’s not using her powers. You can notice it by checking if her halo is visible or not (which is also how Hiélo catches her self-harming…)
Hiélo Garoh
Yes, I made him furry. He has a bestial form too, but I don't want to draw it (lazyyyy), so you can imagine a green wolf.
I know I posted a drawing of him before, but it was annoying me that he was technically a lot-haired man with a dog nose, tail, and ears on top of his head.
And I was watching YouTube (that’s why they say you should be careful with what you watch), and I saw a video of a person making furries commissions. And it was cute and cool at the same time, perfect for Hiélo.
It was my first time drawing furry, so I struggled a bit with the face shape, but I guess I got it the way I wanted. The shoes are a bit odd because I was lazy and didn’t look for references. And can you see how SMOOTH his fur is? Like, I understand Kenyan now. He's like a walking blanket for her.
Martra’s kids live in hardcore mode
Actual parent: Kenyan (can’t take care of herself, much less of her son)
Wine dad: Sylris (gives alcoholic drinks to the child; his intentions aren’t clear)
Great at babysitting: Hiélo (the child wouldn’t be alive without him)
Mediocre at babysitting: Yuno (eats raw meat and offers to the child)
The house is on fire, god is dead: Behati (took the child to an execution and tried to kill the goddess)
Is the child: Ethan (he’s unable to understand how they survive like this)
The only ones following Martra’s culture is Hélio and Yuno; the others are plainly traumatized and traumatizing. Still, as an Earthling, Ethan is horrified by all of this ❤️
(Hiélo would sacrifice himself for Ethan; it’s a rule that all the children are extremely important and have to be cared of to protect their innocence. He still sees Ethan as a child.)
(Auvies eat raw meat; has an intense sweet taste, according to them. Yuno pretends the blood is juice.)

I haven’t talked about Maya here, cuz so far she only appears in the first chapter, but I’m planning to bring her back in the future. And she ended up looking like me because I never bothered to draw her, so I don’t have a perfect image of her—
And I’d say yes for Behati. That’s all I have to declare.
