If sabo who has amnesia one day is like “hmmm i think i’m a twin” and koala looks at him dead panned “your probably not.” and sabo just says he’s a twin now to spite koala.

Sabo is actually clinically insane /j, good thing he was raised Noble with rules and regulations.
If Sabo was raised wild like Ace and Luffy?
Or having grown up with them in the wild?
There would be no restrictions, no restraints.
The one piece world WOULD NOT survive.
Luffy (and Ace had he survived) isn’t completely oblivious to how batshit crazy his brother is, he’s just oblivious to the extent of Sabos crazy.
Because Luffy (and Ace) is his precious brother, Sabo calms down. The chaos in his mind is calmed.
The wild chaos in Sabo is calmed by his brother(s) presence.
Over the years in the RA Sabo got wilder and wilder, partly due to his missing memory’s.
The feeling of missing something so important, something he needs to protect.
The RA’s members are weary of the energy Sabo barely manages to contain beneath the surface.
Sometimes when Sabo thinks no one is looking he will let go. Be a feral wild thing, he has no idea why he is, or where it originates from.
Sabos underlying wildness cannot be curbed. It might be why his parents locked him up like he was some animal. Trapped in that cage of a ‘home’.
Before Sabo had gotten his memories back the only thing that could settle the restless feelings inside of him was Koala.
Koala was nice. Sabo liked Koala. Almost as much as his brothers someone from before.
Sometimes when Sabo looks at Koala her face will merge with these blank. faces of two children. Children he will see in his dreams.
He’s never seen their face, it’s always blank.
But in these dreams Sabo has the feeling of love for them. So so so much love. He’d do anything for them.
It’s how he feels about Koala. She’s one of his. She calms his mind in a way he hasn’t felt since them before.
So when Sabo is getting a tad too feral. A little too violent. His gaze sharpens a specific way. The RA learns to go get Koala.
And if Koala only hits him on the back of the Head and exasperatedly berates Sabo with a fond look, that’s between no one but Her and Sabo.
Sabos feral-ness only gets worse after he gets his memories back. Coupled with the loss of Ace his brother his twin and the anxiety of meeting luffy again. Sabo is point blank a mess.
And if he gets rid of his energy via fights?
Let’s just say the RA is dreading spars with Sabo.
Luffy definitely did NOT bake nor decorate these cookies, in actual fact it was sanji's recipe and usopp bedazzled them, thank you for reading <33

Okay so i’ve been seeing so many (ie: two) fanfics of feral ASL brothers and the traits they have from being jungle children, WHICH i eat up every time, but something needs to be said about Sabo.
Sabo was raised as a noble child, had probably gone to etiquette class since he was old enough to understand it. HOWEVER, Sabo had always hated it.
Something in him was different, wanted to be free. He DENOUNCES his noble up bringing, and fakes his death. He runs away from regular life, his noble life, and becomes a jungle child.
Sabo unlike his brothers who got mellower over the years, he got MORE feral. More chaotic. The Sabo who lost his inhibitions is more feral than how he was as a child. More feral and chaotic than ace. People REALLY should go into this more with fanfics.
I derive away from canon here.
Sabo had always been different than the other noble children, more wild. Being noble, rough housing was unheard of, Sabo didn’t understand.
Younger animals rough house to show their affection, so depriving A wild sabo this right?
Sabo couldn’t help but want to get rough and wild, and tumble outside in the garden. Couldn’t help but want someone to tussle with. But that’s not how noble children did things.
Since he was little Sabo had known he was different from others. He felt more at home in the garden than he did with his own parents.
Sabo’s parents knew he was a wild thing, they did everything in their power to ‘curb’ these instincts, however humans were powerless against the jungles call.
Perhaps that’s why Sabos parents had “Loved” Stelly like they did. A son unclaimed by the jungle? A breath of fresh air. So much easier to c̶o̶n̶t̶r̶o̶l̶ love.
Sabo had always been wild, feral if you will. He had just learned to suppress that part of himself. However, you don’t ignore the call of the jungle.
When Sabo had e̶s̶c̶a̶p̶e̶d̶ left c̶a̶g̶e̶ his house, he had turned into what his ‘parents’ referred to as a “street rat” However… something about the jungle would call to him. Certain behaviors Sabo’s parents had ‘curbed’ started to take place again.
Sabos wild behavior started to take on a feral edge. Sabo would hoard his treasure and the food he could scavenge, if someone came to take any of his treasure… Sabo became dangerous.
The longing for the jungle started to become even stronger, the more time spent not repressing these feral urges and behaviors until eventually Sabo gave in. And that led Sabo to meet another jungle child.
When Sabo and Ace meet, it’s like looking into a distorted mirror, for Sabo.
Ace was jungle raised, he had been the jungles child since he was a newborn. He had grown up there, adapted and changed as the animals around him have. A wild feral thing, who gave into the instincts.
Sabo confuses Ace, he moves like those stiff nobles, he dresses like the people who call him the ‘devil’ and ‘the little monster of the jungle’, but… the look in sabo’s eyes Ace sees it in his own reflection. The way Sabo behaves, a bit hesitant, but still ilk recognizes ilk, Sabo is a child of the jungle. He has been claimed.
OKAY SO IM ENDING IT HERE!!
IDK IF ANYONE WANTS THIS OR IM BEING DELUSIONAL. SHOULD I MORE???

Everything with his brothers is more or less the same. When ace pronounces them brother with the sake, that’s a TITLE.

And it’s not like the boys are the most… thoughtful kids..
(as in they literally do not think about the fact sabo should be called sister. They just role with calling him brother.)
And really nothing changes between them canon wise. Ace is a little more protective of sabo when fighting people in the grey terminal but really, ace IS a protective person. He’s protective of luffy because he’s younger than them, so could you blame him for being protective of sabo.
Sabo and Ace are still luffy’s protective older brothers. None of that changes!
Even in canon sabo is seen to be more gentle with luffy than ace. That transfer over here too. Being born FtM doesn’t give sabo any of that ‘needing to be tough because he’s a man!’ mindset when they’re kids. Sabo does what he wants when he wants. If he wants to (begrudgingly) kiss luffy on the head because that’s just what he does, he does it. If he wants to beat luffy up because luffy is being annoying?
Well he’ll do that too.
It’s not like Ace DOESN’T realize sabo is a girl. Really! He just doesn’t care? Sabo goes toe to toe with him, why would ace care sabo’s a girl? All that doesn’t matter to him anyways.
Normally while in the forest Sabo just wears whatever he can find. And if he found what he always wanted to wear but his parents always forbid him from wearing? Well, that’s between him and his outfit.
Sabo being a noble being forced to dress ‘feminine’ with all of those frilly skirts, who always found more enjoyment in pants and getting dirty in the courtyard.
When Makino Comes around to give them clothes She gives sabo some dresses and skirts. And sabo pouts a bit a that. Why would makino give him dresses when pants were much more convenient where they lived.
Luffy not exactly knowing why Sabo seems uncomfortable with the clothes but knows that Sabo seems sad, loudly says “why does sabo get dresses when me and ace get shirts” With a large pout.
After all they were the same weren’t they?
Ace noticing sabo’s strained smile then jumps in, and is like yeah! how come makino is playing favorites!
Sabo taken aback that they’re defending his right to dress the way he wants, startles. He has been pleading to dress the way he wants all his life. Never has someone stood up for him. Really it shocks him to the core that that’s something someone could and would do.
Makino try’s explaining that Sabo is a girl, and sometimes girls like feeling pretty in dresses and and skirts.
Both luffy and ace tilt their heads to the side seeming confused at that concept.
Makino sweat drops. They do know sabo is a girl right?
Both Luffy and Ace just turn to eachother and then back at Sabo whos watching quietly.
‘As if that matters!’
They both say at the same time.
Once again it completely floors Sabo that his brothers could think that.
When Sabo has been searching all his life for SOMEONE to just forget his gender and judge him based off himself.
He found that accidentally with his brothers.
Makino just smiles and shakes her head and the next time they come to visit makino has shirts and shorts for sabo.
When sabo’s father finds him and brings him home. It’s to marry him off. After all, noble women are married off at a young age to help further their families wealth.
That makes sabo even more desperate to be free. Finally free. And that’s when sabo sets sail.
And then the accident happens.
And sabo forgets EVERYTHING.
Including his teachings as a noble.
And then he meets Ivankov.
And his world suddenly makes sense.
When sabo gets his memories back, he has some anxiety about seeing luffy again. Because other than being ‘dead’ some other stuff has changed about him.
He doubts luffy cares about this type of stuff. But the what ifs might actually kill him.
And when seeing luffy again his fears are found unfounded? Well he only cry’s a little bit.
I’m gonna throw my first post ever out into the void and see how it goes. The one piece community might eat me alive for this one.
If I have to see one more person say Sabo got his memories back from reading the name Sakazuki in the newspaper in conjunction with Ace’s death, as though it’s not completely headcanon, I’m going to tear my hair out. I had no issue with this headcanon before, hell I thought it was pretty cute, but seeing so many people comment in YouTube reacts with that as an explanation for Sabo getting his memory back is getting out of hand. It’s not even actually supported by canon, but everybody in the community treats it like fact so I’m gonna debunk it.
There are two ways Sabo could’ve heard the name Sakazuki when he found out Ace died; either he read it in the newspaper article itself or he heard the revolutionaries say it out loud. However, neither of those are actually viable and I’m gonna break down why.
The chain of events for Sabo realizing Ace died is hearing the revolutionaries say out loud “fire fist Ace is dead”, Sabo picks up the newspaper, reads only the headline, sees Ace’s picture which immediately worsens his budding panic attack/flashback, the revolutionaries discuss the events of Marineford in the background, then he passes out. Sabo was already starting to have panic attack as he was going to pick the newspaper up, the moment he saw Ace’s picture is when he completely flipped out and started having flashbacks, I highly doubt he was in any state of mind to read the body of the article.
Even if Sabo somehow did read the full article, it goes onto my next point, Sakazuki would not have been referred to as Sakazuki in the article and was never referred to as such by the revolutionaries; he’s only called his admiral title, Akainu, at this time. The names all of the admirals go by are titles, not their actual names; it’s an understandable thing to miss considering Green Bull (Ryokugyu) is the only title translated literally for some reason. Akainu just means red dog (the admirals seem to have a colour and Chinese zodiac theme). I do think part of the misconception comes from some people not realizing his name isn’t actually Akianu, so it’s not like the newspapers are going to be listing his last and first name as something like Akainu Sakazuki . All this is to say that the newspapers would not be using Sakazuki’s actual name until he becomes fleet admiral in a year; the admirals are never referred to by their actual names unless by people they consider close friends or people being disrespectful. The revolutionaries themselves when discussing the events of the war only ever use the name Akainu, there was no way for Sabo to have heard the name Sakazuki while panicking about Ace.
Look, I get that to a lot of people the Sabo amnesia stuff was not handled in a satisfying way, but there’s a difference between using a headcanon to fill in the gaps and treating a headcanon as a canon explanation when discussing the events of the manga.

I used to not care about the Whitebeard Pirates. I was indifferent. But then I started reading One Piece fanfiction, and now I do. Now I'm even more pissed off about Marineford. And Wano. And Teach. And fucking Thatch. Screw all of you writers. Making me give a damn about shit I haven't cared about in the 15 years I've read the damn manga. All of you jerks making me feel shit.
Also, side note. Can I get more "ASL raised by Whitebeard Pirates" fanfics? I've scoured fanfiction.net and ao3 and I feel like I've read all of them. It's a rabbit hole I can't seem to get out of.
When the ASL brothers fight they still sleep together because they can't sleep alone but they put little pillow walls in between eachother.
