I have a habit of only liking the characters that stick around long enough for me to get extremely attached and then they have to die for “story reasons”. The big three are Desmond Miles (Assassins Creed), Cayde-6 (Destiny 2), and Martin Septim (Oblivion).
it really hurts to read all of the fanfiction involving the bleeding effect and Desmond slowly not being able to discern reality from illusion. and then I remember "oh wait. that basically happened in the games"
Slowly but surely progressing through Valhalla and I got tears listening to Desmond talk about his experiences going through the bleeding effect with Shaun and Rebecca, how he saw ghosts of Ezio and Altair walking around and even hearing Connor’s voice. . . *sobs*
It made me realize how much I miss Desmond’s character and how much he made an impact on my interest in the franchise.
I have absolutely no bases for this but My personal head cannon for assassin's Creed Valhalla is that Eivor's Raven Synin is actually a trash bird. Like instead of being super helpful and a good raven it instead acts like a angry toddler. I just imagine this Eivor has confronted a order of the ancients (I haven't finished the game yet) And just before they stabs them they here Synin trying to eat something shiny and then it's just.
Eivor: it's time to die.
