Bakugo x fem reader

Everyone was lounging around in the common room of the dorms, kirishima, denki and Sero were arguing over which pro hero’s they think they could win in a fight against.

The girls were gossiping, they also dragged todoroki along with them. Him just nodding away at their conversations often replying with oh’s and mhm’s when they chime him in.

While Izuku was scribbling away in his journal.

Bakugo was sat next to kirishima, not paying attention to any of their antics because he was to busy looking for you.

Bakugo has kinda had a thing for you for awhile now, took him a while to realise he actually liked you because of his stubborn nature but once he did he was going insane.

You were a very anti social person and you only ever really had conversations when needed or when others talked to you.

You were the complete opposite of Bakugo his loud nature with your quiet one but surprisingly you both got along really well.

Maybe it was the fact you both had romantic feelings for each other.

But both of you were to scared to admit it.

You were scared because how could Bakugo like someone like you? He was loud and you were quiet, he had seemed to have high expectations for everybody and you were worried you didn’t quite fit under any of them.

And Bakugo was scared because he never really knew how you were feeling because you never really socialise with anyone. Hell he can’t even go and ask one of the girls because you rarely talk to them. (They all love you though, they think your the sweetest they just let you do your own thing)

You found comfort in being alone with your own company and your phone, which is precisely what you were doing right now, on your phone in your dorm room.

Bakugo was getting frustrated as he hadn’t seen you much (he just misses you) so he decided if you weren’t going to socialise with him, he was gonna socialise with you.

With a huff he gets up off the couch, ignoring his friends protests and heads to your dorm.

He knocks loudly hoping to give you enough warning before barging in making you jump and clutch your chest, your phone flying out of your hands.

“Jesus Bakugo! You scared me”

“Tch didn’t mean to”

He came in and shut the door behind him before standing there awkwardly, he didn’t really think this far ahead.

Shit.

You look up at him, sighing before patting the spot on the bed next to you.

He nods and heads over before sitting down his body whole tense.

It was a very akward and tense silence both not knowing what to say.

He clears his throat before speaking

“Didn’t see you much today.”

“Yeah I didn’t wanna eat with the others so I took my lunch outside, and after class I came straight here.”

You look away embarrassed, which he finds absolutely adorable.

“Why not?”

“People aren’t my scene”

“Bet you wouldn’t know.”

You say, his eyebrows quirk up giving you a confused look,

“The fuck does that mean”

“You know, your loud and very body loves you and you have loads of friends.”

“Those idiots aren’t my friends and m’not that loud”

“Sooo… you don’t have any friends then?”

There’s a pause, he hesitates before saying in a soft tone

“Your my friend”

“Really? I get to be friends with THE Bakugo?”

Your tone is playful and he just smiles slightly before you nudge him with your elbow saying,

“Your my friend too”

There another pause of silence but this time it’s more of a comfortable one, Like you both are soaking in each other presence, and Bakugo is finally letting his body relax.

“This is nice, I enjoy the peace like this.”

You smile down at your lap, you alone with your crush. In your dorm. By yourself.

Oh.

Your cheeks heat up.

“Correction, I enjoy peace with you.”

You say not bothering to look up at him.to worried he will see how hard your blushing right now.

He turns his head when he hears you say this internally giggling and kicking his feet.

“Oh yeah?”

“Mhm”

Again, another beat of silence.

“Do you wanna do this more often? Sometime soon? Just us two, maybe lunch?”

His heart is beating in his chest so hard he feel like it might fall out of his ass.

“Are you asking me on a date?”

“Yeah I think I am.”

He was sweating, what if you down right rejected him? Oh god. He wouldn’t be able to live that down. He was really overthinking it. See what you so to him?

“I would love to.”

You whisper.

He looks over to you noticing how your avoiding eye contact and how flushed you look.

“Are you blushing?”

“No” you say looking around causing him to let out a breathy chuckle.

His index finger hooks under your chin turning your head towards him. And he’s instantly meet with your whole face red as a tomato.

“Aw you are!”

You blush even harder. Omg omg you think to yourself,

His hand comes up to cup your cheek, and looks down at your lips, leaning in but stopping an inch away, before looking back up at your eyes.

You nod, and he leans in and presses his lips against yours, it’s slow, and his lips are?

Surprisingly soff?

For someone with a fiery temper god he has soft lips.

He pulls away from the kiss and smirks,

“So I’ll see you at lunch tomorrow?”

“Mhm” you say nodding your head to flustered to form a real answer,

And before you blink he is gone.

And your left there stunned. And you don’t have anyone to talk to about this.

As Bakugo closes your door behind him he leans against the wall and he is blushing so HARD. He wants to go back in there and do it again, he misses you already.

But he can’t let you see how flustered you make him.

After all he is still Bakugo.

imma go on a rant here

those bnha 'fans' who are disappointed and angry that bakugo apologized to deku is so fucking disgusting. and going as far as to say that they're completely dropping the manga and calling it a 'waste of their time and money'. i dont know if yall have eyes or if we watched or read the same thing, but id say that almost anyone could've predicted that an apology was coming from the last few chapters. horikoshi himself said bakugo needs to apologize. hell, we even see bakugo slowly coming to terms with the fact that the things he did in the past are wrong in the anime. in the manga, it is so much more evident reading the last few chapters. for example, when bakugo follows deku as hes charging toward shigaraki and when he takes a blow for him. i mean, did we really read the same book? even in the battle between class 1-a and b, we see him improving. how much more do yall need?

here is a character, a boy, who has been praised since the second he was born, been celebrated and showered with good words and compliments all his life for his quirk. let me remind you that he was a child. A CHILD. and who wouldn't believe the things we're told as a child? i would even go as far as to say he had the right to believe them, he did indeed have a powerful quirk and though not as refined as now, he certainly knew how to use it. as a bullying tactic or otherwise. bakugo was so confident that he was better than his peers, that he was going to become the number one hero. only for that dream of his to shatter when he reaches u.a and is confronted with, not only people like todoroki, whose quirk rivals his, but the kid who now has a quirk of his own and whom he told to take his life.

and let me remind you again, telling someone to take their own life is fucking disgusting and i dont condone these types of behaviors. and to hear the fact that a lot of you saw yourselves in bakugo and related to him when he was a bully, an asshole who constantly puts down others, has anger issues amongst other things just breaks my heart.

and another thing, horikoshi isn't 'changing his personality'. what he's doing is giving bakugo a character development which he desperately needs and which has been hinted at for as long as i can remember. horikoshi is plainly doing what every good author should be doing. i feel like screaming. bakugo wasn't a very likable character at first, in fact, im pretty sure everyone despised him. i hated him. and if the bullying wasn't enough, him telling deku to take a swan dive off the roof of the building was the last straw. idk how anyone can watch that scene and think, 'ah, someone just like me'. he was arrogant, and made me want to rip his hair off, and the fact that deku kept defending him just angered me more.

now though? bakugo has become my absolute favorite in bnha. yes, he bullied deku, and i dont view that as anything great. but thats a reason for his actions. not an excuse. piled on his shoulders is the pressure to be the best, to be the real deal, to be the hero to his sidekicks, who wouldn't be cracking with expectations like that? for a while now, i have been waiting for him to be the person he can be. watching him accept that deku is not as powerless as he used to be, that he cant just rely on people to congratulate him for waking up that day, keeping deku's secret, breaking down when he thought all might lost his powers because of him, realizing that if he keeps looking down on everyone else, he'll never be able to see his own weakness and passing on that message to other people. unlocking that potential inside of him and being a decent person. it is sooo satisfying, hes come a long way and im proud of him. and thats not even counting the things hes done in the manga. he deserves the development he's getting. HE DESERVES EVERY LAST BIT OF IT. he is a brilliant character who shows that redemption is possible. that human beings are capable of change if they themselves want to, if they desire to truly change themselves for the better. and that SOME people deserve second chances.

its going to sound cheesy but i dont care at this point: he gives hope. he may be loud and brash and uses harsh language, but he's maturing. he's looking at his mistakes, and bettering himself. something most people cant even fathom to do. and i applaud him for that. he deserves it.

and saying that horikoshi is invalidating you, the people who related to bakugo when he was selfish, arrogant and an overall bad person. and to that i say, as he should. people who tell someone to suicide is someone i can't consider as a human being.

and last but not least, i want to say that deku deserves the apology. that boy has been through so much of bakugo's shit.

i am honestly so done with this fandom. i hope this is the first and last time i rant about smt like this.
