I like to think that all of the batboys are, in some way, scholars in one particular field*. So I've compiled a list of the areas the batboys are the most knowledgeable about:
Richard: math, musical history, anatomy
Jason: classics, ancient history, theology
Tim: anthropology, photography, textiles
Duke: physical sciences, architecture
Damian: art history, zoology, black-smithing
*For clarification, all my knowledge of the DCU is from the Young Justice TV series, the CW Flash, wikis, and other DC fans. Please correct me if I'm wrong about something.

Does anyone know the name of this one fanfic one ao3. It was about Jason and Tim and they were on a roof top having a thumb war while on patrol and someone took a pic of them and then the media thought they were dating and they were both like so embarrassed and traumatised. That fic was so funny but I can’t remember what it’s called.
Tim: oh Jason can't kill me anymore Jason: can't???? Tim: if you kill me, it'll be (Red Hood former alias of) the Joker killing (Red) Robin Tim: which means I will have aped every major aspect of your tenure as Robin, and since you'll have killed me, you'll be the one who made me your perfect replacement Jason: ...wh- Dick: okay, wait, getting killed by the Joker is NOT every aspect of Jason's tenure as Robin- Tim: I embezzled a Batmobile from Batman (stealing the Batmobile tires) Tim: I dropped out of high school (never got to finish) Tim: I was hated by the Robin before me (Dick hating Jason) Tim: and my falling out with Batman was based on him thinking I killed someone I didn't when they fell off a building (Bruce thinking Jason pushed Felipe Garzonas off a balcony) Tim: oh! and since Ra's al Ghul wants me alive, I'm reasonably sure he'd use the Lazarus Pit to revive me, so I could take that too! then I can get to work on stealing your identity as Red Hood :) Jason: Dick: Tim: I already took Red Robin :) Dick: ...wh- Jason: Tim, I hate you, I hate you so goddamn much. You are my favorite brother. You are the only Bat I respect and the only one I will ever willingly work with. You are completely insane. You are the best Robin there ever has been or ever will be. What the fuck is wrong with you. I love you. I'm going to shoot you in the leg now. Tim: make sure you miss the femoral artery!
Imagine them using their civilian personas to do so because atp they honestly dc, and the batfam not knowing till they like go to a restaurant and the manager sees them and welcomes them like "If it isn't our dearests Tim and Damian, why didn't you tell us you were coming? Please come over here, we have an area for special guests we'll make sure nobody disturbs you"
And it's way funnier because f'ing Bruce Wayne is there but the manager doesn't care abt him and everyone is like ???
And the manager remembers smth and is like "Oh right! I forgot to welcome you to T&D's dinner, the best food stablishment in the area" and she seems apologetic to Tim and Damian and is like "I'm sorry we haven't been able to change our name yet, you know how this procedures are blah blah blah" and everyone gets even more confused.
Mind you, Tim and Damian don't even bother to clarify.
And everyone wonders abt that till months later Duke finds an add from them, smth like "T&D professional detectives, you are frightened? We are enlightened"
And there's a photo of Tim and Damian (& Titus with one of Bruce's ties obv to make him look sophisticated) with those horrible glittery frames and a set of all of their successful jobs (obv everything is written with Comic sans because it started as a joke till it wasn't) which include some like...
-Uncovering the Loch Ness Monster
-Beating Dracula in a Chess Game
-Giving Free therapy to Frankenstein
-Making the best sandwich ever created (For Jesus)
-Professional Exorcism
-Preventing a war from happening
-Marriage counseling
And the list goes on and on, with some very questionable ones (like that's not even being a detective anymore) but I mean their job works so...
Bonus points if Bernard was actually included, he not only was the driver but also as Damian puts it a very "Competent" detective, and so when everyone questions them keeping it a secret they're like "But it wasn't a secret? Bernard was also there..." (the only reason he's not in the add being they had already finished it when Bernard became part of the team, hence they were lazy enough no to make another and Bernard is a really chill guy so he didn't mind, he was just happy to be with Tim.)
I AM NOW OBSESSED WITH THE IDEA OF TIM AND DAMIAN DRIVING FROM CITY TO CITY WITH TITUS AND GETTING INTO SHENANIGANS LIKE THE SCOOBY GANG AND HAVING TO SOLVE STUPID MYSTERIES IN EACH NEW CITY
PLEASE IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES
IT WOULD BE GLORIOUS
Tim would be tryna set all sorts of dumb traps and Damian is like “it’s so obvious it’s the underpaid teacher” and they keep a tally of who’s right and whoever is right gets to pick the next city
Also just imagine Damian being called a “meddling kid” Tim would have to hold him back from punching someone
Somehow their adventures lead to them becoming honorary mayors in several towns, getting several keys to cities, and having 5 restaurants and diners named after them, and on one honorable occasion a town made a statue of Titus to commemorate him
We NEED to talk about the stuff Alfred has done.
I love Alfred ok he is the only one in the Batfam with a brain cell but really people gloss over what he did that efected Bruce and Jason's relationship. Is it all his falt? HELL NO there is so much in there that needed to be unpacked but I want ONE fanfic where Jason finds out some of the thing he is angry at Bruce about is not his falt. Like the "Good Soldier" plaque that ALFRED put up. Granted it was for a sweet moment in the comics that was between them but still "Good Soldier" really?
And about Bruce moving on to fast from Jason's death. Yes, Tim was trying to help. Yes Alfred was also trying to help but Tim is a 11 year old child that ran after Batman starting at 8 years old and had barily any idea of what a normal childhood should look like. Alfred is the adult in this situation. Dick is also to blame for why Tim was robin. Like Bruce was STILL RECOVERING from his SON'S DEATH and they give ANOTHER child the idea that "Yes you can be robin the exact thing his son died with" to a stubern CHILD that is Batman did not train would go out and get himself killed in the same suit as his child.
I see people tend to also not agnolge Jason trama from his parents yes some talk about Wilis abuse of Jason but what about Cathrean. The comic book writers make Jason drink and be intoxicated but I feel like Jason would sparingly drink or not drink at all becuase he saw first hand how it drugs effects adults. In versions of Jason mothers death she died of overdose on drug's and Jason finds her dead at 10(?). Drugs and aocahol tramatised his in more ways then one and people should agnolige that.

Bruce grounded Tim at the manor. Jason drops by for what he planned to be brief, but ends up getting roped into teaching Tim how to bake while Alfred is out. It’s messy and momentarily dangerous, but baking in the Wayne household has always been messy and momentarily dangerous.
