"What radicalized you?" I dunno man, I grew up being taught the six pillars all through elementary school: responsibility, respect, fairness, trustworthiness, caring, and citizenship. And I decided to implement these values in my every day life.
I'm a simple bitch. i believe the purpose of government should be to improve the lives of its citizens and protect its most vulnerable members. unfortunately i live in a day and age where this gets me labeled an enemy of the state
just gonna say it: i despise spongebob & patrick. the only character i have any sympathy for is squidward. at least plankton has some passion for his work, mr krabs is a dirty capitalist exploiter.
One of the best explanations I’ve been able to come up with for why autism messes with your sleep schedule is that your brain prefers you to be awake when it is darker and more quieter out. A more nocturnal schedule has a lot of sensory benefits for autistic people:
Fewer people around, less noise
Less bright/glaring light
Generally a calmer environment
Which would work fine if we were living in a world where capitalism hadn’t made alternate sleep schedules so untenable because of “profit.” In a different society this sort of quality could be valued (“no I don’t mind tending the herd at night, you find it hard to stay awake but I find it peaceful,” and so on). But not in this one. And that’s not a failing of biology, or neurology. That’s a failure of society. The fact that so many neurodivergent people struggle with keeping an 8 to 5 schedule is another symptom of intrusive capitalism microcontrolling our lives, not a personal “weakness” or shortcoming.
I’ve noticed some common misassumptions about autistic people and verbality, so I thought I’d share some of my experiences!
If you meet me at a social occasion, I will be talkative and you will probably be surprised to know that some days I struggle with being verbal. Here’s what I might look like on a nonverbal/less verbal day
I can force myself to talk to people, but it will be draining. It may drain my energy, heighten my sensory issues, raise my stress levels, and in general lessen my wellbeing.
After a long conversation, I might need to rest/lie down.
I think of my nonverbal days as a battery recharging itself. You can still use the device, but that will just make it drain more quickly.
Not all conversations are created equal!!!!

given that Autistic & ADHD folks have always existed….like the names we use are modern, meaning that most autistic/adhd people went undiagnosed their whole lives, but they still existed and interacted with people……..
my point is autistic/adhd traits have always existed under other names & therefore autistic/adhd characters have always existed whether their creators knew it or now
