This is some of my art from high school. On the top left is a chalk pastel drawing of a blue and gold macaw... but it's green for some reason. The one on the top right was for a prompt given at art class that asked to draw the front view of something. The last one is Roberto from the movie Rio 2. I mostly focused on the texture of his feathers.

Beautiful parrots native to Australia. The males have a bright red tail and females have golden stripes and accents on their feathers🪶

Today’s bird(s) are this lovely family of sandhill cranes!! The babies hatched just a little while ago, so they’re only about the size of a chicken!

crows have been documented holding ‘funerals’ for many years. however, researchers suggest that they may not be mourning; evidence indicates that crows may be examining the body & surrounding area for potential threats to the rest of the flock.

if you need me i am going to be binge-reading the archives of my favorite blog on the entire internet which is written by this sweet old man who lives on a farm in the pacific northwest with his husband and a bunch of animals. there are nice pictures of flowers and ducks and the tone is so gentle and soothing:

Pigeons are actually pretty, imo. Yeah even the grey ones you see around the bus stop. The "sky rats". They are just common (in many places at least i guess) so we don't really care, but... A big variety of spotted patern? Some of them legit remind me of seashells? Some of them are dark grey, light grey, white, and sometimes even brown ? They have green and violet shiny necks? (my favorite are the white and brown ones with mainly violet necks and a bit of green) Red legs? Kind of cute actually? You do you but i think pigeons are cool actually!
