After watching the new video in helluva boss, it took a while as to why Vortex was at the party. At first I thought he there as her bodyguard but there were moments he wasn’t. Like the Ozzie episode.
But after watching this scene multiple times (because this song is such a bop) I remembered that he is very empathetic and by the looks of it, to his employers as well.
My guess during or after the spring break episode, Verosika told Tex what lead to them breaking up. And once we got to hear what happened, we can understand how painful it was. My guess at the time, Tex was just indifferent since Luna is affiliated with Blitz. And kept his opinions to himself.
I wouldn’t be surprised that after Blitz ended up crashing Tex’s girlfriend’s party, he got a somewhat complete idea of what he thinks of Blitz; chaotic and destructive. And in this episode, Verosika probably extended the invitation to him so he can be included and understand just how dysfunctional he is. And by seeing how many of Blitz’s exes showed up, it just sealed the deal for him.
I’m sure there’s an emotional support dog joke in there because of just how patient and supportive he is with everyone. But I like to think he knows how much this affected Verosika that he probably just asked if he could be there just in case.
Also, my personal head cannon is that after the song, he picked up Blitz’s scent at alerted her afterwards. But instead of kicking him out, Verosika told Tex to just enjoy himself and that she’ll handle it herself.
And luckily, she did, and got some closure out of it.

Blitzø vs Azulín/Bluey
I had been meaning to work on something like this for a while. Using the canvas background I meant to use last Thursday along with my other two paintings, I figured I’d finally work on this.
As I mentioned in a comment for a meme: to me, Bluey (Azulín in the original Spanish version) is almost like the more villainous, truly evil version of Blitzø. Both desire to be loved, have issues with their families and friends, and their attitudes tend to drive them further apart. Except while Blitzø was able to at least somewhat reconcile and try to improve his behavior with others, Bluey sticks with his ill-tempered, envious demeanor do he does not back down from his goals of becoming the best. Not to mention, Blitzø is funny and often cracking jokes, often to derail from his own personal issues, as opposed to Bluey being a bitter, rude, and self-centered asshole to the bone just to feel superior to those around him. Blitzø genuinely loved his mother but has an abusive father who favors Fizzarolli so he can become rich; Bluey holds both his parents in contempt as his mother cheated on her husband (thus leading to Bluey poisoning her out of impulse, only to regret it as soon as he commits the deed), and only tolerates his father because he (the dad) favors his son over Bluey’s brother Tubby as well as holding his old man as an example of a pathetic loser, something Bluey doesn’t want to become. It even extends to how their faces get damaged; Blitzø has scars on half of his face, on his hands, and parts of his chest from a fire he accidentally started; while the half of Bluey’s face is horribly disfigured and his left hand is completely missing after getting pushed off a cliff by a unicorn.
In conclusion, I thought it would be interesting that if the two were ever to meet and learn about each other, I’ll bet Blitzø would be disgusted by how much worse Bluey is compared to him and the two would duel. Though knowing Bluey, he’d most likely lose since he only has a bow and arrow and a knife while Blitzø has a knife AND a gun.

With the newst helluva boss epsiode I would like to say that the LooLooLand epsiode is so much more traumatizing knowing that Blitzo legit caused a repetaive fire. Again.

No because what do you MEAN the Ithaca Saga and the next Helluva boss episode come out at Christmas time?? Stolas/Via AND Odysseus/Telemachus reunions???

This imp is a very broken individual. Most of the ways he reacts to people is from experiencing life on hard mode. His dad sold him for spare change and an extra slim condom to then steal from the royal demon family. He accidentally caused a fire that destroyed his family's circus, greviously injured his best friend, and killed his mother. He rejects people that get to close to him for fear of being rejected when he opens up to them.
As it is, most of his friends and family are in the found family and he could really use their presence in his life to help ground him and make him more stable and happy.
In the last few episodes and shorts of the show, he has been going through his emotions more and learning how to deal with his trauma. Hopefully this will help him grow for the better for himself, his friends, his family, and his business.
