Another sketching session with me for this week! This is my oc for the short film animation I’m working on for a college degree of 2 years.
Finally got around to making a video after a looooooooong time

Mystical town. Urban sketches. #2, set of 10
Sketch number 2, is part of my apartment building. I had a lot of fun with all 10 of the urban sketches, and this one’s added bonus magical element is the spirit person watering their plants and the name plate on the wall.

I did 10 sketches as part of the sketchbook I had to turn in as art college homework. I really enjoyed doing these urban sketches. At first I was really bummed with the idea, as drawing inanimate things, like buildings and such is not something I particularly enjoy. So I found a way to make it fun; stylize it in a way I’d like it and add something fun to it, something magical and mysterious that wasn’t there in real life. This way, I ended up seriously enjoying these urban sketches.
Because I procrastinated for so long, I had to do in like 5 days, 20 drawings for the sketchbook. I still tried to ignore the pressure and stress I felt and enjoy it, and I succeeded. It was honestly my favorite part of the semester, getting to finally stretch my creative muscles. By ignoring the pressure, and actually having fun with exploring new styles and ways to make my art look different, I managed to breeze through the sketchbook in time.
I’m really proud of those 20 I made, even these set of urban sketches that I really didn’t want to do at the beginning and wasn’t looking forward to. But I’m happy with what I created. Really happy.
Thinking they’d look great as short animations and prints. I’m totally doing that.

Let’s hold each other together as we cry, let’s stain the other with our tears.

I kinda liked it more without the black in the clothes, but oh well, too late. I like them both. I really really liked just the simple sketch version too, but my original idea was to do the lineart so I ended up doing it anyway. I really like his face, he looks a lot like a Renaissance statue; very expressive on its own.

Sketch with ref. I’ve been thinking about this one for a while. I really, really like this pose. It looks like a statue. It’s so expressive.

A little something for Inktober. Just daily practice. But slightly more fun 😉

Soo I liked it so much I colored it!! I’m in love with it. I think I learned a lot about dramatic lightning with this one.
Done on Procreate with a photo of the original drawing and drawing on top of it.
This some homework for my cartoon class. I kinda really love how it came out. Before this class I had never dabbled in cartoon drawing, just wasn’t used to it. My style is usually more realistic.
It turned out so well that I kinda wanna color it.
Highlands
A commission for a friend. An album/single cover for a song he made with other people from college.
I’m super proud of this one. I think I’m getting better at drawing actual backgrounds. The radio could look way better though :/
I still love the colors though ;b
This is the plant I chose for my hybrid homework. I’ll combine it with the white heron and make something cool 😎.
I kinda don’t like how the studies turned out tho. They look nice, but are a bit too dark in comparison to the real thing. The photos were a little bit too neon, too saturated, and in an attempt to do the impossible with normal watercolor paints it turned out like that.
