Thank you to EVERYONE who has been patiently waiting for this. I first saw this movie a little over a year ago during a busy and stressful time. As much as it pains me not to be able to dedicate as much time to personal projects anymore, it's a reminder of how fortunate I am to be working full-time in my dream career in animation.
I hope you stick around for the rest of the story. There is so much information in every panel. NOTHING is without meaning.
CHAPTER 2: We'll touch base with some of Bruno's nieces and nephews, hear from a few folks around town, and get a glimpse into Chel's home life and her history in The Encanto. Is this even the same Chel that we know from centuries ago?

A male witch is a rarity, dreaded by humans and despised by their own kin. Bruno the Witcher disguises himself as a magician; you can find him on market squares, where he tells stories through colourful illusions. Be warned! He is said to have the inner eye - by mere touch he can see into your soul and read your fate.
(A witch-mother is expected to dispose of any male offsprings, but Alma the Moth couldn't lose her miracle and raised her three children in secret. When she was found out, the young witches fled together to the human's world.)

As the yellow butterflies, it was a direct reference to the universally recognised, 1982 Literature Nobel winner novel written by Gabriel García Márquez, Cien Años de Soledad/One Hundred Years of Solitude, and it was an allude to the incestuous relationship between Aureliano Babilonia and his aunt Amaranta Úrsula (neither knew of their family ties) producing a pigtailed child who killed her mother as she birthed him and was later devoured by ants, thus putting an end to the Buendía bloodline and sentencing Macondo to its self-destruction, fulfilling Melquiades prophecy.
