Alright, as strong as Maki is, he usually fights with at least one other bug at his side, so being alone is gonna hamper him no matter what.

Meanwhile, Hornet has been on her own since being a child, and she has a few things going for her Maki doesn't: mobility, range, and area denial. She can set up traps, keep him out of reach while still being a threat, and move considerably more swiftly than Maki. Also, her weapon is made of metal, whereas I think Maki's sword is made of wood. Sure, he can swing it pretty hard, but Hornet could probably just break it if necessary. Sorry, Maki, but she's just got too much over you.

Oh my god I want to hug this depiction of Vi aaaaaaaaaaa

A reference of Kabbu from Bug Fables, with the addition of a small additional pair of arms and more traditional beetle-like features like spikes on his limbs and faint iridescence. His right eye is closed with a scar over it. He is wearing the favorite one medal. To the right of the reference, three small busts are illustrated. One features Kabbu, in a blue color, looking nervous while muttering “Oh Venus…” Another features him in yellow, looking happy and laughing. The final scene is drawn in red, with Kabbu opening his wings and mouthparts. He is yelling at the screen angrily, “We SAVED your LIFE before, you WITCH!”
