“Yes, I believe so. I think Lando will get it under control. He's still the championship leader, and we saw last year in Brazil how quickly everything can change with a single qualifying session or a single race. It's only the fifth race of the season, and he may be going through a similar process to me in terms of understanding and grasping the car. The McLaren seems to me like it has a lot of grip on the front axle in the middle of the corner, and if you don't have the confidence to throw the car into the corner, it becomes difficult."

Finally someone recognizes that the car is undriveable for him. But also Carlos 🥹
Saturday at the Saudi Arabian GP | 19 April 2025
carlos using williams’ pre race podcast to speak so earnestly about the impermanence and instability that comes with life while racing and travelling for racing and how he eventually has come to think of home as a person and then put roots down after struggling to do so for so long and wishing the same to happen for alex soon oh my god. my baby boy. i love you so much you’re a beautiful little freak
CARLANDOOOOO
saudiarabiangp F1 drivers are kicking off their SaudiArabianGP 2025 weekend at the perfect spot — a stunning Red Sea Resorts recharge. 🏝️ Countdown’s on for lights out in Jeddah! 🇸🇦 We can’t wait 🤩
I think the most frustrating part of watching carlos having a less than ideal time in the williams is that he’s a big part of why the car is so far from what it was last season, the team, at least in theory, are willing to listen to him and do what’s in his best interest, he’s adapted quite well to the car considering his move from having driven the ferrari for four years, and yet it’s more often than not things beyond his control that are keeping him from realising all the positives.
James Vowels to Carlos post race 📻
"Yeah, well done, Carlos. So, again, as Gaëtan said, that's on us. You should have been ahead of where you were, but it's a hard track to overtake, and you showed really good pace today. That's all I was really looking for. I can't wait for the next two. We're going to be good."
He's getting more comfortable with the car with every race. The next 2 races are going to help so much for him to settle in. Vamos!!
He sounds so relieved and happy that he's able to make progress. He actually really needed that, we all did. I hope he scores good points tomorrow. Even better things to come to him. He deserves it all 💙💙
We can put it in James’ office 🖼️

my fav carlando moment is that video of lando saying “imagine if we were p1 and p2” cause like, he didn’t care who was p1 and who was p2. he just wanted them to be p1 and p2, regardless of who’s at the top step because that was never the important part of their friendship. the important part was to do it together. because, with carlando, they share every win, whether the other is on the podium or not. but they share every win, and that’s what they care about. that’s what real friendship is.
carlos on how his strategy calls helped alex secure p5 in australia
The Atlassian CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes, James Vowles and Jenson Button were together today on a Conference for Atlassian Team’ 25 Event, and the CEO took the time to tell an anecdote about how impressed he was by Carlos attitude on Australia:
“Netflix and cameras are all gone, no one cares anymore in that side of garage. And I saw Carlos walk in, he went to every single member of his pit crew, one by one, thanked each of them. That’s the classiest move I’ve seen someone do.”
And James Vowles saying how Carlos is above all a TEAMPLAYER
“That’s Carlos. Carlos in the moment of it, the team is bigger than him and he wanted the team to be successful above himself. That’s extraordinary, and that’s what he’s all about”
🤍
whatever ollie and carlos have, it is on and off the track 😭😭
“sorry carlos” as he passes him pls, what is carlos doing to the british man that they can’t help to be the sweetest towards him
"what’s going on with you charlouu" Charles: 😡🤬🔪🔫 Carlos: 🤣😜😆
Your true father son relationship is
Ollie Bearman assuring that he absolutely did not say ‘Ciao’ to Carlos, he swears, the team radio were projected wrongly, he only said it to… uh, maybe Lawson and the Alpine, NOT to Carlos.
Ollie Bearman saying that he really gets along with Carlos, he likes Carlos, Carlos and him go cycling together! Even in Monaco!
Ollie Bearman that as soon as Carlos gives him the middle finger immediately answer with “ok sorry”
That’s the true one
Regarding your recent post about Charles saying he would miss “Carlos the person”, I re-stumbled across another of the late 2024 interviews where he said “Carlos is an amazing person”. Not driver, not teammate, an amazing PERSON. I think we glossed over it a little at the time but that’s actually quite a strong thing to say about someone!! I love that they still clearly care for each other so much and are excited to see other, it’s lovely
Oh yeah this interview. Charles looked like he was finally starting to process the fact that their time together as teammates is ending and he was trying to cope by saying they would still be spending time together in the paddock and maybe going to races together.
He said Carlos is an amazing person because no matter what happens on track they still genuinely like and respect each other and it has always been like that and it never changed. I really feel like Charles was being sincere and that he meant everything he said.
Look at his face
"Maybe we'll let the emotions run high on Sunday when we'll have to say goodbye" 😭
And they did
Remember when Charles said he will miss “Carlos the person”? It’s soo devastating because four years is a really long time to be so close to someone and then realize you won’t be able to be as close anymore. It’s the most sincere answer he could have given because it’s not just about the racing or the fun or the banter it’s about having a teammate you can get along with so well that you will genuinely miss HIM and that is such a unique and rare teammate relationship and I’m glad they could experience it. And now that they’re no longer teammates we can still see how they’re always happy to see each other and how sometimes it still looks like they’re teammates when they’re walking together in the paddock or talking during the drivers’ parade because they still genuinely like spending time together and I think that’s beautiful.
how well do f1 drivers know their teammates? [only carlos and alex]

Ollie’s favorite really is Carlos. He was so distraught at the idea people or Carlos would think that “Ciao” radio was targeted to Carlos
“They played it at a strange time bc I didn’t say that to Carlos.”
“I said it to Lawson and the Alpine.. just wanted to clear that one up, it wasn’t against Carlos”
my heart 🤚🏼♥️
