Esral Shikh has organised a worldwide campaign to call for a permanent ceasefire in gaza. Here are the details:
Total Strike on Monday, 11 Dec 2023.
It is necessary to paralyse the movement of life and the economic wheel in all countries so everyone feels directly affected by the genocide happening in Gaza.
Start making communications, spreading the word, mobilise your communities.
This strike includes transportation, aviation, trade, banks, ports, and even schools and universities.
Here’s how you can join the strike (as a group):
Don't buy anything (cash or online)
Don't use your bank account, and don't make any transaction
Don't leave your house
Deactivate your Facebook accounts (you can reactivate them later)—please make sure to follow the palestinians on other social media platforms to keep updated on their posts
Leave 1-star reviews on Instagram, Whatsapp, and Facebook on your app store and play store for silencing pro-palestinian voices and supporting genocide.
I would also suggest to not stream anything for the whole day (incl spotify, netflix, youtube, hulu, paramount, amazon prime, etc)
Tweet using the hashtag #StrikeForGaza
[For US citizens] sign your strike card as well
Do all these things together for maximum pressure
We are protesting but our protests are going largely unnoticed by the people in power, so we need to increase pressure.
Stop all operations on a working day, let the world feel even a fraction of what it’s like to have your life put on hold. It’s only a day. We can do this. If we mobilise and get people together who support this cause, we can make this happen.
17,400+ people have been killed. 7,000+ of which are children. 1.9M people have been displaced. Please. You owe it to them to speak up. Please stop this. Please call for permanent ceasefire.
It is short notice for some places, I apologise for that. These posts only just started circulating and showing up. Regardless, doesn’t hurt to try.
guys please note that this strike has been called by people outside of tumblr. a quick google search and a look at palestinian journalists’ pages would show you that. and please don’t just randomly call in sick. organise it as a group. it won’t do anything if you’re doing it alone. and please stop asking if you can [insert unnecessary activity here]. you can avoid playing games or music or anything else for ONE DAY. please.

On the 400th day of the war, the smell of death, hunger and cold is everywhere!
You can help us here, every little bit of help will help save our lives.

It's a place where the living reside, but they're dead! They're doomed to die, either quickly through direct targeting or slowly due to the absence of vitality in their city ⚚
Wherever you turn, you find nothing but death, displacement, homelessness, destruction, hunger, thirst, ignorance, disease, and rampant infection.
It's my city! It was fully with life until the butchers passed through it! Since the beginning of the massacres, I've been struggling to save myself and my family, but in these circumstances, your support alone has been and remains a lifeline for us. We still need you. The famine has intensified, and we're struggling to get even an empty loaf of bread. The displacement conditions have become more difficult than ever because we've returned to square one after the truce was violated. I hope you will not leave us alone, spread our voices to the world, please reblog and donate if you can. Thank you

Gaza is full of oppression #The worst is yet to come #Genocide #A resilient people
I’m a survivor from Gaza, holding on to hope in a world that has fallen apart around me. 💔
The life I once knew — my home, my family, my sense of safety — has been shattered by war. Today, I live among the ruins, trying to find a path forward through the rubble and heartbreak. 🏚
Every moment is a battle against fear and uncertainty. What was once ordinary — a safe place to sleep, a future to dream of — now feels like a distant memory. 🕊️
I share my story not to seek pity, but to keep hope alive — to believe that even in the darkest places, kindness can still find a way. 🤍
If my story touches your heart, please consider sharing it or offering support. Every voice, every act of care, brings me one step closer to safety. ✨
Thank you for taking the time to listen. 🙏

To those who are reading this:
Please, I beg of you, take a moment to read this message. This isn't just a story, but someone's real, lived reality. In the midst of loss and destruction, this person is holding on to hope and asks only that we remember, listen, and care.
During this time, we shouldn't care about the political side of this situation but the human lives that are being lost and destroyed. In no world should this be normalized. Neither should we sit back and turn a blind eye to these serious matters. To those who are reading this: let this message move you; let it show you the urgency of standing up, speaking up, and taking action.
Please read or even repost. This helps a ton. Thank you ❤️🩹.
O' Children of Watermelon Seeds,
tell me of your dreams
The one's where Father returns,
and Mother was always there
And Sister and Brother
can hold hands and dance
The ones where the buzzing of planes,
is nothing but a distant nightmare
O' Children of Olive Trees,
I know your blood runs deep
It gathers in the soil,
like Nature's finest oil
The trees care for you,
as you did for them
I wish I could be there for you,
as I know you'd be here for me
O' Children of the Red Sea,
I wish to listen to thee
But the phone is dead,
and the line is flattening
I wish not to hear your death's rattle,
but I know that if I don't,
we willl lose this Battle
O' Children of the East,
you're not the beast they say your are
You have the kindest hearts,
and the warmest smiles
When in reality,
It's the West that's vile
I know the people are not to blame
but those who supply and deny
This, and prior, Genocides
O' Leaders of the West
it's you who are the most Vile
You wish to sit in Denile
while blood is tainting the morale
Do you wish for more Oil?
Why else do you bomb their Soil?
O' Terrors of the Blue and White,
you are the very thing that killed your grandmothers and grandfathers
You Genocide and Terrorize,
like it's 1941
You monopolize on prior hate,
but Zionism isn't profitable
The world is watching,
and we'll laugh at your mistakes
All while holding up the children of
Watermelon Seeds and Olive Trees

🇵🇸🙏🏽
My family is still staying in half of the church that wasn’t affected by the bombing because there is nowhere else to stay other than tents. They are limited to one small meal a day and one shower a week. They are sleeping on the floors, but no one can sleep since there is bombing everywhere around them. Even when there is no bombing, they can still hear the loud buzzing sound of the military planes above them, which would keep anyone who hears it awake. Along with everything, My grandma has diabetes and osteoporosis, so she can’t walk. She has to take her insulin medication along with many others; however, she has run out of many of her medications.” Am on my knees requesting for donation. Target $450
❤️🍉

You're never being annoying, My Friend. Never apologize for trying to help people in need. I'm hoping that the recent ceasefire will be honoured and the Palestinian people can be safe and get their lives back on track.
Everyone please help these people get what they need to survive! They need our help more than ever. Do not turn your eyes away just because there's been a ceasefire. We need to become even louder to ensure that these people will be fed, sheltered, safe, etc.
Free Palestine! No one is free until we're all free!
I wanted to share this because I think this is a genuinely great move and works because Pennsylvania is a swing state where these votes make a much bigger impact.
I understand people who are conflicted over the 2024 election but rather than simply not voting looking into any organized movements like this to use your vote as a tool would be awesome. Obviously what you can do varies state by state and some people aren’t comfortable withholding there vote with trump as the other candidate which is understandable.
Anyway sorry for the ramble remember that even if you don’t feel you can vote for Kamala there is still a lot of local elections that matter. Good luck to everyone.
P.S Also look into any petitions here’s one I recently signed lemme know if you have anymore that I can add my name too!
please help this family in gaza by donating pr reposting!!!
I will not return to Gaza and my destroyed home anytime soon, as I do not own a car and have no one to take me. Therefore, my children and I will remain in the abandoned school, bidding farewell to everyone and watching their joy as they return.
How will I return with my belongings?
My home was completely destroyed, and I have no means of transportation. If I must return on foot, how can I leave behind my children's blankets, sleeping mats, and everything we own?
Frustration consumes me.
I don’t know what I will do on the day of return. It is exhausting and deeply worrying for me and my children.
My campaign is completely halted.
I am considering closing it, but I hope to reach 80,000 to manage my affairs. I want to travel, as I no longer have a home to return to, nor an education to secure my children’s future.
If you can feel what we are going through,
Please help us with your support and give us a chance to start anew.

yemen is the poorest nation in the arab world. but in two weeks time, it did what no oil or gas- rich arab nation could do. by seizing three ships and costing i****l more than 2 billion by forcing its ships to go around africa, yemen showed up.
Oh god.. I forgot it's almost winter. I hope they'll be able to keep warm over there.. 😭
My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.
The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.
Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.
I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.
Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.
I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.
Any amount you can give will help me get closer to safety. Even the smallest donation will make a difference—it could be the lifeline I need to survive. If you are unable to donate, please share my story. The more people who hear it, the better the chance that I can find the support I desperately need.
Your kindness and support mean the world to me. You’re not just helping me escape a war; you’re giving me a chance to live, to rebuild, to breathe again.
Thank you for listening. Thank you for caring.
From the river to the sea,Palestine will be free.
the images out of Gaza today are the most horrific I've seen yet. Pools of blood in the street, shredded children, old women with their limbs blown off. This is complete and utter madness the occupation is not even hiding it anymore they are just killing and maiming everyone indiscriminately since everyone has moved on from them bombing a hospital and killing hundreds. I am at my wit's end I really am.
Please don't skip my message 🍉🇵🇸 to our honorable people in the world My name is Abdul Rahman from Gaza.. I lost everything in life.. My wife was martyred and my child and I were injured by a missile that fell on us.. My life was completely destroyed and I was severely injured all over my body especially my legs.. The missile tore my wife apart while she was carrying our child.. I ask for your support to start my life anew and overcome the tragedy I am going through.. Please help me with any amount no matter how small to treat my injury and my child's injury and get out of the Gaza Strip and start a better life.. And spread my campaign and my story so that everyone can see it 🍉🍉🇵🇸🇵🇸

Hey there—I’m making Donation Stickers for a Free Palestine 🇵🇸, and will be donating all profits to the CareforGaza, a non-profit charity that supplies food/resources for Palestinian families.
The stickers are 3 inch vinyl, and are $5 each—please DM if interested, I’ll be taking Pre-Orders the rest of this week!
Finishing my dissertation so I've been super busy, fundraiser is still going though! Some designs (for shirts, stickers, mugs, pins, etc):
As always EVERYTHING I EARN from my shop is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank (it's gotten extremely bad there) and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.
You can find all of my work in my shop HERE. You can filter by product with the menu on the left side of the page or go here to browse by design. Here's a couple examples of designs printed on products:
The model for the gym shirt in photo 3 is the friend I am raising money for (cropped for privacy).
This is not end to grad school we imagined. I'm so proud of my friend for how he's handling everything though. Still doing his activism in the face of all the government threats, and still doing incredible research despite all the setbacks. He's the strongest person I've ever known.
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out! The support means a lot to us, we hope you are enjoying your purchases.

Here's another compilation of stickers/pins from my fundraiser:
As always EVERYTHING I EARN from my shop is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Gaza, in the West Bank and sometimes those elsewhere in the Levant caught up in the conflict (such as the many displaced people in Lebanon). Right now the situation is looking increasingly desperate in the West Bank, 40,000 people are already displaced and we're scared to see how far things are going to escalate. Thankfully most of his immediate family are safe for now.
You can find all of my work in my shop HERE. You can filter by product with the menu on the left side of the page or go here to browse by design. There are also shirts, mugs, notebooks and plenty of other products besides the ones shown here.

Three hours to go until the ceasefire. I'm with my Palestinian friend at his lab, we're just working and waiting. I'm incredibly proud of the strength and composure he's shown in the face of this genocide, he's the most amazing person. Let's hope the ceasefire lasts, and the West Bank gets a reprieve soon too. Here's a poster I'm liking right now, with a reminder to feel free to print and use my stuff for anything so long as you are not profiting from it:
I want to thank everyone who has supported my fundraising shop. We received so much support, it's been so heartwarming! I really hope we get to spot some of my shirts, pins, etc at protests and rallies in the future. Even if the ceasefire holds this is far from over, we need to keep the pressure on!
I will continue to run this shop for the foreseeable future, there's so much damage to recover from in Gaza and Lebanon and the raids and economic restrictions in the West Bank are showing no signs of stopping. I would like to help him support his family as long as I can, and if that ever becomes less necessary I'll switch the shop income over to a relevant charity of his choice. For now, here is a selection of some of my popular designs:

A new version of this design is now in my fundraiser shop, with a bitmap filter and "فلسطين حرة" (roughly "free Palestine").

I haven't posted about how he's doing in a while so here is a brief update if anyone was wondering. He's been quite miserable (more than usual even) since the escalation into Lebanon, he has family there too, but he's hanging in there. They're safe for now and we really hope the ceasefire in a couple hours actually happens and lasts. He also got injured not long after the escalation which really messed up his usual coping mechanisms (running/going to the gym), but he's recovering well now and we're at least lifting weights again. Despite the stress he's still doing impressive things with his research, and working crazy hours at it. He's supervising and mentoring several younger students on top of his own work and doing an amazing job of keeping it together for them, I'm so proud of him. He's the strongest and nicest person I've ever met and I know he's going to do amazing things with his life.
