Never seen a more "fine" battalion in my life.
The CG, all day, every day.
"Alright vod, let's get you into your bunk so you don't crash in the holding cells. I hate to say it but you might want to stay out the vents until your arms healed up a bit. If you want I can clear the bunk room and sit on watch for a bit if that would help?"
If Bite wasn't already cautious of the situation in the guard, he was doubly so now. The only relief is that at least as a medic, he can be there to help his brothers put themselves back together again. Even if it is harder when most of those brothers still see you as an outsider in their home.
"You can rest for now, vod. I've got your six."

We need any available medic to head down to the Holding Wards and tend to our local vent cryptid. Di'kut got into a brawl with someone from Bacara's lot and our on-hand medics are tending to the the Marines who jumped in.
- @corrie-guard-tumbler
"Medic Bite, on route, Over"
Bite stands quickly from where he'd been sat talking with one of the other medics in the mess.
"I've got this one. Flag it to the medbay in case things got extra rough, and I'll comm you when I have the facts."
Bite turns on his heel and starts running full pelt towards the holding wards. He'd only met Tumbler once, but after memorising his file, he was already trying to sort out a plan in his head.
As Bite skid around the final corner, he was greeted with the sight of injured brothers and very tired medics trying to stop someone from continuing the fight.
Turning to the trooper on duty at the entrance, he asked where to find Tumbler and was pointed to a dazed and injured looking vod in the back corner of the room.
Weaving around the clones still scattered around the space, Bite finally reached the corner Tumbler was pressed into.
"Hey vod, it's Bite. What happened? What do you need?"
"Vod, maybe wait until you won't fall over until you get into another fight?"
Bite slowly removed the shard of visor from Tumblers head and pasted an appropriately sized bacta patch on top.
"Right, let me wrap that arm properly, and then we will get you back to the barracks. You can sleep and then go back to whatever you were doing."
As he slowly winds the wrap around the broken arm, he thinks about how this all started.
"So... all battalions are proud of their commanders, but I don't think I've even seen one as protective as the corries. What's up with that, then?"

"By the ka'ra, I new Guard-GAR relations weren't great, but not this bad. Shows how much time I used to spend on Coruscant."
Bite starts talking as he helps Tumbler get his helmet off before moving on to his left glove and vembrance.
"I'll splint this now and check your head, then I'll wrap your arm properly. Sound good? And let me know if you want a painkiller."
Bite waits for an acknowledgement before he starts pulling things out of his pack and getting to work on Tumblers arm.
"Either way, impressed you managed to take out so many marines by yourself, we should spar some time."
He is just finishing up with the quick brace and was about to move on to the head injury when the marine closest to them pipes up.
"He got lucky, nothing impressive about it!"
If Bite had been annoyed before, now he was getting pissed. Do these guys not know to shut up when they are down.
"I recommend you can it before I march you back you your commander myself and have some words with your CMO about reminding his troops to stop picking fights while someone elses medic is stitching up your face."
Bite makes eye contact with the medic working on the marine, who nods in thanks before turning back to Tumbler.
"Kark, I hate marines."

*On the corrie landing pad, seconds after touchdown*
Bite: Dank farrik, I do not remember larty landings being this rough...
Hssiss: Aw, vod'ika, the landing wasn't any rougher than to be expected. You're just feeling them more. You could have strapped in, you know?
Bite: Not a chance, I haven't needed to strap in for a landing since that drop where a seppie EMP took out our systems, and Switch nearly sent us into a mountain.
Switch, from the pilots seat: Hey! We agreed that the mountain wasn't my fault! And anyway, my landing was perfect.
Hssiss: Sure, vod, perfect.
Switch: Bastard...
Manda, Bite was going to miss his vode. The brass wouldn't let the rest of his squad escort him to the surface, so only Hssiss as his corporal and Switch as pilot were given clearance to say goodbye to him. He knew from experience that his squad rarely ever got shore leave, so it would most likely be a long time before he saw them again. As the LAAT/s door started to lower, the finality of it all hit Bite like a speeder.
Bite: You're going to visit me, right? You will still have my comm code too, and I know that you di'kut'e can use a comm and-
Hssiss: Bite, vod'ika, breathe. Yes, we will visit you. Yes, we will comm. We couldn't stop Atin if we tried, you know that. You are going to be ok, Bite, Commander Blackout said, so remember.
Bite: Yeah, I remember.
Switch: It will be ok, Ori'vod! You'll see!
Oh, how Bite hopes Switch is right.
:Incoming Message from: CT-3996, Guard Trooper Tumbler:
Gotta ask, did they send you to us because we have the "cushy" job?
- @corrie-guard-tumbler
To be honest, I don't know. I was drugged out of my head for most of the decision-making process. Although I do know that if nothing else is true, the fact that Coruscant is a static base and that I was less likely to have to carry a trooper like a rag doll for 50+ klicks to an extraction point were definitely important factors.
That and well, I think Commander Blackout felt better sending me to a post he could visit.
Normally the GAR doesn’t assign us to well , security detail. @clone-force-87
I can't deny that statement. In all my time with stealth ops, I never had an escort assignment before. But then again, the situation around my transfer was less based on my specialisation and more that this was the only posting other than a medical base they could justify sending me too, and apparently it would be "a waste for a trooper with such expensive training to be assigned to such a post"... yeah. Although working on Coruscant has had some similarities with my previous job that I was definitely not expecting.
There are a lot of troopers in the guard with training the guard aren't supposed to have, ARCs for sure, but I don't know of any other stealth troopers in the guard either, so... let's just not tell the brass, yeah?
[Let me know if you want me to delete this :)]
Wait...we have arc troopers in the Guard?
They ALLOWED THAT?
- @corrie-guard-tumbler
There are no ARC troopers in the guard, they leave them for legions/battalions on the battle field. but there are a few of us with ARC training, such as Fox, Thire and myself.
This technically extends to other factions. Captain Rex also had ARC training without changing from Clone Trooper status to ARC status.
'So that's what Fox meant about not minding a squeeze...' Bite thought to himself, assessing the trooper poking out the ceiling.
"I appreciate the warnings, I know kark all about these vents so what you say goes on the droids. And don't worry about the stretcher, wasn't intending on trying that, too bulky, don't move fast enough. Wanted to ensure there was a way to get to an injury even if the situations a little complicated."
Was Bite rambling, he thought he was rambling. The trooper had him pinned with his eyes and while Fox let him know when he arrived he'd have to earn being a Corrie he really wasn't sure how and he really couldn't afford to loose the trust of potential patients before he even gained it in the first place.
"CMO let me know when I arrived. Sometimes, he and the other medics can't get to a patient because the roots blocked, so I thought it was worth investigating. Thanks for the info... actually is it ok if I call you Vod or would you rather I use your name? Should have asked."
Bite has managed to get more flustered in the last week with the Guard than on any ops mission in recent memory. New rules, new brothers, and a whole lot of new medical files to learn.
Hey Vod, you Tumbler? One of the commanders sent me when I asked about covert routes through the senate. Apparently, you are the guy to ask? Kark, I completely forgot to introduce myself; names Bite, transfer from GAR stealth ops, combat medic. Nice to meet ya.
(Feel free to ignore)
Tumbler pops his head out of the vent like a demented Jack in the Box, casually crooking his elbow to rest on the lining of it, dust and cobwebs coating him from bucket to boots probably. A spider skitters across his visor as he stares down at Bite.
There seems to be something heavy about the gaze he levels on the former GAR vod, almost assessing and most certainly judging. After all, Tumbler did not have the highest opinions of the GAR. But, a vod is a vod.
"Well, don't know about Covert routes...I just know eighty-five percent of the Senate Rotunda and Senator Suites ventilation system, none of which are wide enough to fit a hover stretcher. If you're planning to traverse the vents, you need to be willing to befriend droids and know when to back the kark off because they can literally cause a vent to collapse with you in it and make it look like an accident. So no kriffing Droid hate, my relationship would be called into question with them if you mess up."
He pulls himself out of the vent and allows gravity to yank him down to the ground, landing safely as he stands tall and folds his arms. One hand lifts to point at Bite.
"You also need to be good with insects crawling over you and being prepared to fight off whatever poisonous pet that a Senator's lost."
Designation: CT-8024
Name: Bite
Classification(s): Medic & Stealth Ops
Current Posting: Coruscant Guard
Previous Postings: Stealth Ops Squad, Kamino
According to the Commander, my previous posting made me qualified to run one of these accounts, I can only assume it is because I know what classified looks like. As per instruction, I am here to demonstrate elements of the Coruscant guard and ensure no one is doing anything that will end in a medbay visit. Feel free to ask questions, the comm signal linked to this is open.
[Feel free to ask with rp accounts or just to pose questions to Bite. We are all just here for fun!]
[Update: If I do not respond to your ask, I will ASAP, I'm just busy.]
