Why do people behave like Edwin is the main character and Charles is just there to be his "bestie" low key making him "sidekick"??? Because it's starting to feel racist.

They go through the same amount of development throughout the show. Both of them have major story lines.

Just watched an interviewer introducing George and Jayden as "George, who plays Edwin. Jayden, who plays Edwin's best friend Charles."

I NEED YOU TO SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU WHITE BOY. THEY BOTH BELONG TO EACH OTHER EQUALLY.

I love Edwin. But Charles is not his accessory. Treating Charles as anything less than equal feels racist.

Finally finished my Dead Boy Detectives fic!

It's just fluff about Edwin and Charles. The boys took control over my head I can't write or read anything else.

Warnings: none. It's just fluff.

Word count: 2,000 words.

Relationships: Edwin Payne/Charles Rowland, Edwin Payne&Charles Rowland.

Summary: After the hell confession, Edwin tries to refrain from touching Charles, to not make him feel like he's overstepping the bounds of a normal friendship.

Charles, that loves touch, is sick of it. And confronts Edwin what's going on?

(Including kissing and cuddling later).

Or basically just Edwin tries to stay away and Charles pulling him close.

(Very fluff no plot).

The people that are Fizarolli fans from Helluva Boss are also Charles Rowland fans I said what I said.

Edwin probably had a deep technological shock when he came back.

I imagine myself Charles the 80s boy is teasing him for not getting along with technology well (teasing affectionately, of course).

Crystal the gen z is laughing at both of them.

I know most of the DBDA fandom probably thinks at paineland at the trope of "x fell first, xx fell harder" is Edwin falling first and Charles now falling harder; because Edwin was obviously shown first to express his feelings.

But consider this-

Charles falling in love with Edwin slowly a little more every day, falling a bit deeper for him every day they spent side by side.

And at some point later- Edwin is crushing hard. Realizing "oh shit, I love him-" and falling hard in a chaotic storm of feeling he doesn't know how to deal with, he's a complete mess.

Idk, I personally prefer the second version more but both options can be great interpretations of their dynamic.

A conversation I had with my friend while they were watching dbd ep 4:

My friend: (learning about Charles' backstory) oh god did that boy ever had a happy day in his life?

Me, meaning it with all of my heart: anyday that Edwin was there.

Me realizing a few moments later: oh wait in his life? So no.

So I have this now. The ducks started as a joke (not my idea or designs they were done by namacofazbear) I don't think it's a joke anymore.

Sirius, James, and Charles who talk about starting a band all the time but never do it.

Regulus, Remus, Lily, and Edwin sit and read or talk about there partners.

Crystal and Marlene would be amazing together. The levels of sass through the roof.

Barty and Evan would be try to talk to the cat king so much thinking he is so cool. Might smoke together honestly.

Pandora, Niko, and Monty would be a trio I would like to see. Just the vibes there.

Peter and Monty are two that have sort of this opposite going parallel (I say like I know what that means) and I think that would be interesting. Also know I am think of astrology loving Peter and that slays.

Ester and Bellatrix would be in a competition. Not sure for what but they would.

Random question but Dead Boy Detectives and Muppets. Who would be the only human? Jenny or the night nurse would be funny but I also made myself laugh thinking the cat king trying to seduce Kermit the frog. Who would play who? I feel like Gonzo or Kermit fit Charles. No idea why just do. I also think Miss Piggy would be amazing as Ester.

I think Edwin would love to love at snow from inside while reading a nice book or watching Scooby Doo with Niko. Charles probably would hate the thought of getting cold (dieing form hypothermia and all) but would love to run around and make snowmen. He would probably have a big puffy jacket he wears to go outside when it snows even though he is a ghost and I don't know if he can feel the temperature like the living. I can see the whole gang getting into a snowball fight and laughing. Edwin would act so offended when the first snowball is thrown at him (probably by Charles to get him to play) and would throw one right back in retaliation.

She would probably ask for a word that rhymes with another to the group and Edwin would have like 5 but would be confused why she is asking. Niko would read like everything she has ever written and love each one. Charles would try to write a poem with her and it would be kinda bad but he tried and that's what matters.

The face Charles makes when Edwin told him the bell hurts them. Crying. You can just see the realization that he hurt them and that is what the scream was. You can see that guilt on his face. He doesn't want to hurt them but he did and he hates it
