happy birthday, childe! this 2 hour playlist is my love letter to childe... who along with scara has captivated me like no other character before
scara's playlist (which i haven't finished the cover art for yet) was pretty easy for me to make, but childe's was difficult for me because at the time not much of my favorite music really felt like it fit. i listened to a lot of new music, got into some new albums and bands, and built this playlist slowly over months.
it's themed around his devotion to his family and his god, his duties as a soldier, his vicious and selfish impulses. his future -- will the story of ajax be a tragedy, as was his namesake? will ajax ever return home?
i hope this playlist is interesting for you all and evokes something of this complex and interesting character. building this playlist inspired many of my own art pieces about him. (i've never made playlists like this before HAHA they've really done a number on me huh)

he makes childe’s work life just the tiniest of inconvenient to entertain himself but not get in trouble with HR as soon as childe got hired and Childe doesn’t even realize
He’s just wondering “wow maybe my sins ARE catching up to me, what is this bad luck?” but it cancels out because he gets to greet his BEAUTIFUL coworker everyday tsaritsa bless
(visualize him moving to greet scara but it’s one of the days his shoelaces are fatefully tied together and he falls flat on his face arms stretched out in front of him as scara snickers behind his hands evilly (I MIGHT draw this))

the first thought to come to mind was tartaglia
i imagine before he’s about to give fatuimouche some divine head he starts singing his praises to the tsaritsa for the blessing that is whatever is between scara’s legs (anything u want idc)
like he’s already on his knees so he just clasps his hands, eyes squeezed shut and mutters the most earnest prayer to the tsaritsa before he dives in
and scara is watching in absolute shock and bemusement turned amusement that this ginger mortal is actively saying grace between his legs
feeds into his ego and his interest in childe so he still tolerates him no matter how much he wants to grab him by his ahoge and wring him around sometimes
so it’s a win win for both of them
in my humble opinion tartaglia has never seen a wink of any genitals besides his own, and I don’t think he does anything with that either
fighting satisfies him enough and i stand by that!!!
except when he meets scaramouche and his world flips but loser virgin tartaglia is my bread and butter

childe's name is actually ajax fyi. he has like three names, it's dumb.
I know, but the name he gives out for Fatui related stuff is Childe. I believe Tartaglia is his official harbinger name like The Knave, for example. I think most people who encounter him know him as Childe. Whereas his family and the traveler know him as Ajax. Not many players know his real name is Ajax, so it's easier to refer to him as Childe. But I agree it's dumb to give him 3 names.

My favorite thing is that Childe probably doesn't realize how horribly outclassed he is in Liyue.
Ganyu is a centuries old Qilin,who is a master archer and capable of whipping up blizzards.
Xiao is a yaksha,who regularly fought demons and actively keeps up in his training.
Zhongli is a 6000 year old former martial god who is still capable of producing a small amount of spears,can create incredibly powerful spears and can easily out maneuver Childe while letting him think that he is in control.
Like Childe was never a threat to begin with. Zhongli basically just found a feral child and was like "Look how cute he is!" While Xiao tries to throw him in trash can and Ganyu does 700 hrs of work in 6 minutes.
