Tips/advice is very, very welcome- I don’t make my own patterns very often and the last one I made, the sharp corners pinched pretty bad when I flipped it and it wasn’t the intended look, even if it actually worked out in favour of the design—
I might make a test out of scraps I have lying around or an old tshirt or something
Why is it that I get the coolest, most detailed and intricate ideas for artworks or sewing projects right as I’m trying to sleep?? There’s this cosmetic in Sky- it’s a New Years item. It was from year of the dragon, it’s basically a black and gold oversized scarf and I’d love to make one for a costume irl and now - from probably 4-6am I’ve been lying awake thinking about patterns, stitches, decals and prop making methods all to make this thing that I don’t even have the money to make 😭 brain, why? I just wanted to get some sleep at a normal hour, why do you do this to me???

The overall outfit I want to make with it but, once again, do not have the money yet to do so:
I am in agony. I’ve made a sky cosplay before, but it’s very simple - it’s literally just the base game black cape and the days of color cargo pants with a short white wig, kinda actually looks like the dr. Ratio hair one actually- and the chuckling scout mask I think. It was my dream outfit when I first started playing, the one I want to make now though is my main outfit, and the one I’ve turned into a proper OC
Anyways, brb for the next two hours while I sketch out the silly little sleep-preventing thoughts otherwise I’ll:
A) forget them by tomorrow
B) be entirely unable to function until I do,
OR
C) not be able to sleep tonight/today until I do

Wig styling is kinda fun but god my back doesn’t like me hunched over for 8 hours straight while I hyperfocus on getting a spikey piece to lie cleanly 😭
And that's wrap! These weekends were very fun and got a bunch of goodies! I cosplayed Sebastian one more time today and he stayed in one piece except for the very end- but even then it only one small part :D
Didn't get too many pictures today at the con but I did get some good zoom ins on the props/head because I'm very proud of them:

A successful day at being fish man at the MCM Comic Con London; bought stuffs, met some peeps, flashbanged myself with my own eyes. A good and fruitful day! While I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted -it was quite busy today, and the rain certainly didn't help- it was still very fun !

I'm back from the MCM London ComicCon now, to which I went as Akari Malara from Galactic Civilizations 3 and 4. As always, it was very fun :). Tomorrow I'll go cosplay-less for a more chill day, I think I got enough photos today :P. My bro @voidyssey also went as Sebastian Solace from the Roblox game Pressure, and my mom went as a Dragonscale Expedition explorer from World of Warcraft.

My cosplay of Akari Malara from Galactic Civilizations 3 and 4 is almost complete now for the MCM London Comic Con this weekend :). Due to constantly changing plans and unforeseen events IRL, things were done a bit more last minute than usual but I think everything is still coming out pretty well :P. I'll be posting photos of the whole thing and me in it when the convention will be happening :)
Also this is my first proper post on here that isn't a reblog of some sort :P

i know i only really lurk here and probably continue to do so until i make another cosplay or somethin. but due to outside pressures, i confirm that i have indeed Gabbed at the mcm comic con london. met a lots of nice people and saw pretty cool cosplays so i think it went well :D i will probs be going again as gabriel tommorow but without the wings since i do want to do some shopping since i wasn't able to due to very obvious reasons jhsdfifdgjfgd (maybe in a summer shirt instead idk-)
anyone know anywhere or anyone that would sell an entire set of clone armour 3D printed? I would like to start cosplaying but have no 3D printer to make armour with :)

I met Dee Bradley Baker!! (In Echo cosplay!)
I had voice memo recording in my pocket while I was talking to him, so I got most of what he said and wanted to share!
I brought up CX-2 (cause I had to) and said that he was a really intriguing character and that I wanted to cosplay him next and he said:
“Oh! Yeah, really scary. That was a weird one to play, cause I did a slower clone voice but they fudged it some so it sounds different. Really lethal, frightening”
We also touched on Crosshair and Echo having really incredible stories after I mentioned they were my favorite.
Then this was his response to me telling him I really thought CX-2 was Tech (which crushed me a bit inside 🫠) :
“Oh a lot of people did. I’m glad he wasn’t. I want Tech to have his heroic moment. The ending that every clone wish they had. That you save your colleagues…it’s brilliant, the way he figures it all out, he makes the long shot, and it was good.”
My heart literally dropped when he said “I’m glad he wasn’t” like OH ouch (even though I 100% still believe CX-2 was Tech and Dee’s just glad it was never confirmed to be him)
Being so honest: I felt a bit empty after the autograph interaction after I’d had so much anxiety leading up to meeting him, but in retrospect he was very nice!! He said he was impressed with my armor and took a picture of me, which is crazy what do you mean I’m on his camera roll-
I saw him again later to get a picture, and I said “Thanks for the hand!” (my friend suggested I say that) And he smiled and said “that’s a great line” which was a very nice close to the interaction.
Here’s the autograph, he signed my scomp arm!!
