Cross stitch at work, book binding at home. Got some great pieces in progress at the moment
With everything going on in the world right now, i’m not sure ‘Happy Pride’ is the right feeling at the moment. Be safe out there my friends. I love you all. You are valid. You matter.
Size 32 canvas, final size 3.5 x 2.5 inches
the pattern can be found for free on stitch fiddle or google drive
While the original design is not mine the pattern is. The pattern has been tweaked a little from the above, just so you know when making. Things that look okay digitally don’t always look right once they are made so i made some colour adjustments and changed some line placements
for those interested in making their own, the pattern is available for free on stitch-fiddle
please note the above was made with sewing thread, not dmc floss so yours may look different. please feel free to use your own gold or red shade if you feel you like something better
Badge from RWBY’s Beacon Academy 3 colours. 32 canvas. used extra sewing thread instead of DMC floss In progress post on DA or Newgrounds

Excuse the odd bending because i had to panorama it because my yard's too narrow to step back any farther. Left side is final height. Center pieces have been cut, but im pretty sure i got it spaced out so it *looks* like all sections are equal. Bottom layer still needs to be leveled, and it's supposed to be nice this weekend, so I'm hoping to finish that in the next couple days. Crossing fingers, i alsobhope to get the "aquifer" lined by weeks end.
Measuring out boards for this year’s project. I need to measure and cut 2 boards for the unphotographed side, and then it’s time to start digging. This layer will end up ground level with the yard, and will support both the buried water reserve, and hopefully keep my yard from continuing to sink because its washing out under the fence XD this step should keep me busy through april!
Happy Halloween! Did three pumpkins this year; the Mugiwara from one piece, the blue flag from red vs blue, and then a gassly/gengar one from Pokémon. The Pokémon was the gengar on the back- I was trying for one of the projection pumpkins I've seen, but it didn't quite work, the light went through just fine, but the details were too fuzzy :(

Size 16 3 1/4 x 2 inches, two strands for flag, three for border
When i made my first Hogwarts badge - the biggest problem I had, was trying to figure out how to take it from the canvas to a finished product.
With the Pride flag, the biggest thing I was doing was trying to do this. With this attempt (maybe my third, i lost track), before even starting the stitches, I drew out the pattern, and folded it over with a single stitch border around it. So when I filled in the colour, it was though both layers. When all the was left was the boarder, I ironed on heavy interfacing to the back, and then stitch the gold around the edges, though the canvas and interfacing (I dunno if there is a name for this kind of stitch?)
It ended up looking very nice and clean, but there’s still a little more of the canvas showing than I would like.

I’m open to questions, feel free to ask here or in notes, if you want.

Same game as the hat - not as proud of this one - can definitely see where to make some more colour adjustments. Honestly, it looked great until the last colour *head desk*

Took me a little over a month - but to be far, i was out of town for a week and a half of it.
Still debating if i wanna fill the background with white or leave the grid showing.

I’ve been trying out these cute magazine beads that I’ve been seeing everywhere, and while they are so time consuming, I think they are just the cutest things!! I think I’ll make some earrings with them :3
