I know we still have awhile until Christmas, but I just really wanted to draw my boy Krampus.
My concept for one of the five creator dragons in World: “One dragon fell into a deep slumber and became the forests”
Crudalis Chakor, the Forest Phoenix
A gentle giant of the woods, Crudalis Chakor is regularly slow, serene, and peaceful. They posses the ability to accelerate plant growth around them, causing a young seed to sprout in mere seconds. This ability can also be used offensively though, as they will defend them selves with large tangles of bramble to ensnare would-be attackers. There is another side to this drake however, you see Crudalis Chakor is omnivorous. In spring and summer, they will graze and eat fruit from the tree tops, but when fall and winter come in their natural phytokinesis seems to dampen. To make up for this, for the season they go on the attack. Like a biological switch, the Crudalis Chakor will now regularly ignite its body to engulf the surrounding forest in fire. They will then pick off the fleeing wildlife easily. While this may seem overly destructive, Crudalis Chakor is actually an integral part of the forest’s ecosystem as the burnt forest leaves room for new life
I personally REALLY want more insectoid/bug monsters and non-traditionally draconic elder dragons in Monster Hunter World, so I took it into my own hands
Timorapendra, the Mountain Slayer
The Timorapendra is a strange monster, even for an elder dragon. They will meticulously choose to settle in habitats with a high population of other elder dragons. They will then purposefully fight for control of the area, consuming most main prey of the closest elder dragon in the area. After slightly starving an elder dragon, the Timorapendra will pounce, feasting on the weakened beast. They have an impressive arsenal of natural weapons, from a corrosive venom spray to mandibles that ignite the spray, on top of their impressive natural speed and maneuverability, any elder dragon forced to face a Timorapendra head on better be ready for an all out brawl
The Avatar of Wrath
Unrelenting, hateful, destructive, this Avatar is a true monster. Though blind, he can smell anger, hatred, and blood, to him it’s intoxicating. While the other sins, though dangerous, hold no true malice for those they kill, he though is different. Though his skin is like steel, he is still covered in scars from fighting with the other Avatars. His nameless weapon is a massive cleaver, forged from his own blood and fire, it has become just as scarred, bandaged, and bloodied as he is. He is war, he is slaughter, he is the rivers of blood from every feud of humanity, he is Wrath.
Eyes of the Forest
The Avatar of Pride
A radiant presence unrivaled by the other sins. His form is quite similar to the Celestial he heralds from, as there is no truer form to him than his patron Celestial’s. He reads from scriptures of his arcane knowledge and achievements, basking in his own being. Mostly uncaring of those beneath him, he is one of the less dangerous sins, but if he becomes truly disgusted by humanity’s display of living, he is a force to be reckoned with. Forming constructs of blinding light, on the edge of bursting with energy, he is like a condensed sun given manifest.
The Avatar of Greed
A shroud of worn fabric, chained by its own desire, the Avatar of Greed can be an enigma when it comes to its full capabilities. Though smaller than the other sins, being a little larger than an elephant, it is no less dangerous. From underneath his cloth, he can pull anything from his vast hoard of the realities. From the fleshy appendages he traverses with, to arcane artifacts, or dangerous weapons, anything he has gotten grimy little hands on. Despite having access to almost anything he wants, he still has a preference to gold, no figure.
Infernal Rajang
A re-imagining of Frontier’s Voljang, this variant is a Rajang that’s diet consists of Teostra instead of Kirin. This change of diet from a young age, causes Infernal Rajang to grow red fur, scales, and more upward turned horns. On top of the physical changes, Infernal Rajang is coated in explosive powder, expanding their combat abilities vastly. This means their punches, charges, and slams can explode when enraged. Infernal Rajang’s breath attack is now high pressured fire and gains an explosion attack reminiscent of Teostra’s.
The Avatar of Gluttony
An Avatar is a representative of their respective Celestial, the closest mankind will ever get to seeing a Celestial are these apocalyptic abominations. The Avatar of Gluttony, or the Lamb, is only one of many Avatars. Rivaling the size of some skyscrapers, the Lamb would potentially spur on an end of the world scenario. While it is rather unintelligent and quite slow, the true danger of this behemoth is that the more it eats, the more Munchkins it spawns from its flesh. It’s easy to see how this can get wildly out of control very quickly. The most terrifying aspect of this creature being summoned into our world though, is that it is said its arrival heralds the end of the world with the first of seven seals breaking. From then on, every further seal broken, will release an Avatar of the 7 deadly sins upon humanity.
My concept for an aquatic inspired brute wyvern for Monster Hunter. I plan to draw weapons and armor for them later
Kuchez Bala, the Bullet Wyvern
Kuchez Bala is a highly territorial brute wyvern that calls the Coral Highlands their home. With their unique hammer-like appendages, a Kuchez Bala will surprise prey with powerful strikes at bullet-like speeds. This is not their only trick though, as a Kuchez Bala can further their punching ability by rubbing their arms on their furry belly, coating them in a nitroglycerin-like secretion. This coating allows them to fire explosive bubbles when punching or swiping at high speeds. In the rare situation where a Kuchez Bala is feeling threatened, they will attempt a quick escape by sliding across the ground on their belly. This not only allows them to move quickly, but will also coat the ground in their explosive secretion in which they will then trigger a reaction by striking the ground behind them violently with their heavy tail.
A monster concept for a webcomic I’ve had in mind for a while now called Chaos Born. I’m finally working out some colored renditions creature and character designs now that I have a tablet to draw on. Anyway, here are my favorite little monstrosities I’ve designed to show up in the story...
MUNCHKINS!!!
Small children of the Avatar of gluttony, they are driven by pure hunger. They travel in packs from as little as 5 to an unknown maximum, with some accounts reaching into the hundreds. They will devour anything in their path including animals, minerals, dirt, buildings, or really anything. After eating an exuberant amount of material, munchkins will grow in size, or sometimes even fusing with other munchkins to create larger “Dark Young”, now with tendrils and newly developed hooves. Luckily for humanity, they are hard to summon into our universe, but if they were to enter our realm, we would be in trouble as they are quite durable. Mostly immune to gunfire and explosives with jaws capable of ripping through solid steel, on top of reaching top speeds of 20 mph, they are an obvious threat to anyone and anything around them
I drew the creatures
ocd creature i used:
R A P T O R.(It looks so good!) :)
Albino peafowl X tegu hybrid
Speckled Night adopt, was thinking of poisonous frog patterns when making this one.
This unique species adopt is available in my Ko-Fi
I found these old sketches I did of Olala and oh my goodness, these are such cute sketches. I need to finish the Second Citadel eventually. Also spoiler for 2nd main story of Second Citadel below, if you haven't listened yet.
Character concept design for the King in Yellow from the Malevolent Podcast.
The direct quote was slightly altered (omitted a few words): And now your boat has vanished, and you are floating on the waves The fish are only your thoughts. Can thoughts bite you? They can hurt, that they can, but can they draw blood? Wound you? No. And so as each thought touches you, do not resist it. Do not grab the fish. You are floating, and the waves are gentle, And they will protect you. When a bad thought touches you, that Is all it has done. Touch. Thieved. Then, let it swim away. Swim away, swim away.
- The Penumbra Podcast, 3.08
[Image Description] Digital drawing by bmpdraws shows the character Olala from the Penumbra Podcast of the Second Citadel floating on top of water. The water beneath the character is filled with numerous blue lion-fish. The character's tail has a mouth at the end of it. Olala looks up at the sky, drifting.
I remember spending quite a few hours on this one trying to perfect it. Nothing is ever perfect, but it came out nicely.
I'm not used to drawing THAT often X_X Sketches will be simple for now so I can have a chance to rest.
Embryo Inside a Cave of a Castle of Creature-hood
Who is she…?
The houses we walk by seem to be creatures, watching us on our stroll through the streets, staring, seeing, following us and our broken relationship.
Their glowing eyes burn on my skin, your hand burns my fingers, I want to run, run, far away, to another version of you and me.
The trees seem to have eyes, watching us on our walk underneath their canopy of leaves, staring, seeing, growing through us and our broken relationship.
Their glittering eyes freeze my bones, your hand freezes my flesh, I want to run, run far away, to another version of you and me.
It hurts, I want to, have to run, to leave, to get away from this freezing warmth, from this burning cold,
but through it all, even if it hurts, I stay with you.
