From 2012 to 2013, he pursued his master's degree, and worked at East Carolina University in Greenville North Carolina, where he sustained the position as a Graduate Assistant in the developmental motor lab. During his time in this role, he helped implement movement-based activity programs for people with a variety of different developmental disabilities.
David Schillo earned his undergraduate degree in health education and promotion, and his master’s degree in exercise sports science with a specialization in Adapted Physical education. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous community outreach programs. David Schillo enjoys working and volunteering with individuals who have developmental disabilities and works to design physical activity programs especially adapted to address individual physical disabilities.
David is an 8th-grade science teacher, who strives to help children get excited about many of the fundamental concepts of science. As a highly ambitious individual who jumps at the chance to learn something new, David plans to continue being a student. He is currently taking courses in American Sign Language and has recently joined local clubs and deaf organizations to practice using ASL in hopes of achieving fluency. David is also working to finish his second master’s degree at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee.
In his free time, David Schillo likes to keep active, and jumps at the chance to engage in physical activity. He enjoys playing baseball and softball for fun with his friends and family. David also likes to go to the gym and hike throughout the nature trails of the Clarksville and Nashville region.
