@writingwithcolor Hello! I am creating a sci-fi/fantasy book series and would like to make the story’s universe more religiously inclusive. Is this problematic --> Demons and evil spirits play some of the biggest antagonists in the story and are warded off by all religious figures and symbols instead of only Christ and crucifixes. The concept would imply that all religions are interconnected to each other despite their major differences. How can I, as a Christian, approach this idea correctly or why should I not use it? Thank you so much!

I present to you all, the 8 deadly sins!! Everyone besides the El bat is @ionlypostmymeemocs OCs. From left to right we have Garvit (Pride), Ulysses (Wrath), Gloton (Gluttony), Aahwanith (Lust), Traum (Sloth), Avaron (Greed), Neid (Envy), and El (Chaos).
As you can see I tweaked El’s demon design to be more bat like and changed her color palette a bit to match the others lol. I had a lot of fun making this, and I hope y’all enjoy I guess heh.

New fic series premises
Soon I will be releasing a fic series based off of the clone wars/tbb characters (mostly the clones) set in a modern world with supernatural elements. It will also feature my trooper sonna in this au of sorts.
Here are the basic pieces of worldbuilding lore:
The Fetts are well renowned monster hunters dating back to 1700's.
There are all of the typical monsters and demons (vamps, werewolves, wendigos, Skinwalkers, ghosts, etc), but there are also a handful of species that are basically hybrid/mutated versions of the common types.
Elites- (Physical attributes) A mutated version of a vampire, with demon like attributes. Unlike vampires, Elites can walk mostly unharmed in daylight and go longer periods of time without blood. When an Elite shifts, they sport long inky black appendages from their back (between 2 to 6), legs become more digitigrade and contain claws, their fingers grow longer and sharper, and their limbs are dark and littered with veiny black lines. In addition, they are able to open their mouths past their cheeks, allowing them to open their mouth about 9 inches at half shifted and 13 inches at fully shifted. When they are fully shifted, they reach on average about 15 ft., 10 ft. when halfway.
Elites- (Familial) When an Elite claims an individual or individuals as family, they will become protective of them. these individuals are referred to as "Elite'an". Amongst Elites, it is considered extremally taboo to harm or target another's Elite'an.
There are some cases of supernatural beings being more pacifist and ignoring their nature, but most hunters choose to ignore these claims.

So, I made two characters last night! One’s an imp named Fleck (he's at the bottom lol) and the other (doesn’t have a name yet) is a demon of some kind? Anyways, the demon gets paired up with Fleck. Fleck is supposed to be in charge, but his partner is bossy and gets their way pretty much all the time.
Fleck has his own character sketch, but I feel like I still need to work on his design lmao
Rokurokubi
Found in Japanese folklore, they appear to look like normal human beings during the day, but at night they gain the ability to stretch their necks to great lengths.
Some legends say that the rokurokubi were once Buddhist who broke various precepts of Buddhism and were transformed into these demons. They are often sinister and feed off the blood of others who broke the precepts or human men.
The Martinez Dog Demon
is a paranormal entity (commonly believed to be a demon) captured in an infamous photograph from Joe and Patty Martinez during their friend's 50th wedding anniversary - it is a striking example of a phenomena in which unseen entities appear in photographs but have not been spotted by anyone during the time, what's even more striking in this particularly creepy case is that the subject the creature apparently stood behind and his trouble background. While many attempts have been made to figure out what the true cause of the phenomena may be it remains a largely mysterious and unsolved paranormal case.

Здесь писатель описывает первый раскол и переход к новому миру. Весьма болезненный..
Так же мне почему-то вспоминается сказка волк и семеро козлят. Где волк съедает козлят причем, ровно семь. Как и Персефона, съевшая в аду семь зерен граната.
Нам конечно же расскажут что волк это демон, и абсолютное зло. В том числе и американские конспирологи толсто на это намекнут. В реальности же волк-жертва-Персефона весьма глубокий и интересный персонаж. Символ рождения нового мира. И ухода.. С одной стороны травматичного, с другой неизбежного, для сохранения чего-то. Как ящерица, которая чтобы спастись от погони сбрасывает хвост.

Here the writer describes the first split and the transition to a new world. Quite painful..
For some reason I also remember the fairy tale The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats. Where the wolf eats the kids, exactly seven. Like Persephone, who ate seven pomegranate seeds in hell.
Of course, we will be told that the wolf is a demon, and absolute evil. Including American conspiracy theorists will hint at this. In reality, the wolf-victim-Persephone is a very deep and interesting character. A symbol of the birth of a new world. And departure.. On the one hand, traumatic, on the other, inevitable, to preserve something. Like a lizard that sheds its tail to escape pursuit..

Today In Misery
Everyone had to take shelter in their nearest building today as a massive swarm of demons flew over the school.
They choked the windows and covered the walls, and the buildings creaked when the motes squeezed.
Misery was known for its high Angel-Demon population, but this was an insane number even for the town.
The demons struggled to get in for a few minutes before they started to disperse. When the demons left some openings the braver kids decided to go and check what was happening.
According to them, Lee Anders was walking around the grounds with no protection at all, screaming at the demons through a megaphone. "Disperse! Disperse! Disperse!" Wandered into the classrooms as more and more demons retreared.
The whole ordeal was 10 minutes long, and class resumed shortly after.
Angels & Demons
As you know, you will only see an angel or demon several times in your life. Perhaps a black spot at the corner of your eye causes you to crash into mailbox. Or maybe you'll see a soft mote of light hover over your friend when they pass a test they didn't study for. Collectives are rarer; meeting one is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
In Misery, they are an integral part of life. No one has ever gone a day without seeing an angel or a demon; some even follow people around at two or three at a time (the townsfolk call these Collectives, fittingly, familiars). And there are enough Collectives at a large enough volumes to be considered citizens; Angel and Demon Collectives make up 2% of the town population, and there's even a business completely run by Demon Collectives. (All human employees are required to be possessed--I'm not sure why, but Micah thinks its so the Demons can practice possession).
As a newcomer, it was a bit....overwhelming. I have only seen three Demons before coming to Misery, and they were all motes. To have clouds of these creatures flying around was an....expirience. Further study is required--no one has seen this many Collectives in one area. It's unprecedented.
It's like something in the town is attracting them....
Daddy's Little Princesses 7.10.2024 It's my personal headcanon that: after Niffty and Angel dust meet Valentino at the club, she rips a tuft of his fluff out. For this, Angel just loves this little freak and wants to keep protecting her. They go on shopping trips, play with Fat Nuggets, wear matching crap like bracelets and tanktops! You cannot convince me otherwise. Forgot to upload this on tumblr when I finished this, but here it is now!

5.26.2024- It Starts with Practice Much like the cherubs of that famous painting looking bored, Razzle and Dazzle absolutely stole this piece but I don't mind. I was inspired by a father/daughter duo Donnell and Mary Leathy. She sadly suffered an injury that would have prevented her from performing at a live event and her father stepped in to help. I'd love to think of Lucifer helping Charlie get into music- and her other arm (instead of being in a cast) just got occupied by Keekee. You wouldn't have the heart to put her down, would you!?

Apparently the word demon comes from daemon (greek) and means "spirit replete with wisdom" and aren't actually evil as people think they are. Many cataloged demons are actually old pre-christian pagan gods that Christianity demonized once it became the dominant religion! Or fallen angels now cataloged as demons.
Many demons show up in different forms and have certain associations--for example, Sariel being associated to the moon & dragons.

Lore de Jud. Para saber como Jud se volvió un ángel caído, hay que entender el cómo funciona el cielo aquí:
Despues de la caída de lucifer y el pecado original, el cielo se había vuelto muy estricto con sus reglas, tanto para las almas humanas como para los angeles. En caso de los angeles, debían seguir al pie de la letra las reglas ya que era su deber mantener al cielo y a las almas humanas a salvo ya que los demonios siempre intentaban encontrar formas para entrar al cielo y destruir todo. Los angeles y los demonios son iguales de poderosos y solamente los más inteligentes ganaban.
Jud era de los angeles más jóvenes y por ende era un tanto ingenuo Pero apesar de eso cumplía sus deberes con gusto. Siguiendo sus principios.
Pero un día, un demonio experto en la manipulación y el engaño, logró engañar a Jud haciendose pasar por un alma perdida y se aprovechó de la bondad de Jud para entrar al cielo. Cuando Jud descubrió la verdad, fue demasiado tarde, el demonio ya había sembrado desconfianza y duda en los angeles hacía Jud. Debido a esto, el consejo celestial no escuchó a Jud cuando este intento explicar todo en el juicio y por ende Jud fue expulsado del cielo. El demonio también había participado en el juicio para poder ver caer a Jud
Cuando Jud cayó en la tierra, la tristeza lo invadió. El sólo quería ayudar pero Gracias a que alguien se aprovechó de él, lo perdió todo.
Jud se sentío triste y sin propósito por un tiempo hasta que conoció a Jack y Jessica y se volvió un cazarrecompensas como ellos, quizás ya no protegería almas humanas de la misma forma que antes Pero al menos ya no estaba solo.

To know how Jud became a fallen angel, you have to understand how heaven works here:
After the fall of Lucifer and original sin, heaven had become very strict with its rules, both for human souls and angels. In the case of the angels, they had to follow the rules to the letter since it was their duty to keep heaven and human souls safe since demons always tried to find ways to enter heaven and destroy everything. Angels and demons are equally powerful and only the most intelligent won.
Jud was one of the younger angels and therefore was somewhat naive. But despite that, he fulfilled his duties with pleasure. Following his principles.
But one day, a demon expert in manipulation and deception, managed to deceive Jud by posing as a lost soul and took advantage of Jud's kindness to enter heaven. When Jud discovered the truth, it was too late, the demon had already planted distrust and doubt in the angels towards Jud. Because of this, the heavenly council did not listen to Jud when he tried to explain everything at the trial and therefore Jud was expelled from heaven. The demon had also participated in the trial so that he could see Jud fall.
When Jud fell to the earth, sadness overwhelmed him. He just wanted to help but thanks to someone taking advantage of him, he lost everything.
Jud felt sad and purposeless for a while until he met Jack and Jessica and became a bounty hunter like them, perhaps he would no longer protect human souls in the same way as before. But at least he was no longer alone.
