Please tell more about your metal sonic au!!

If you want the short version, it's basically "Metal Sonic pulls a Megamind after Sonic's death and takes his place as the new hero"

I came up with this amazing Sonic AU with lots of lore surrounding it, and it's been brewing in my brain for weeks now, so I decided that I'm going to share it now. The AU is just a "What if" scenario, the senario in this case being "What if Sonic dies and Metal Sonic takes his place?"

During one of Eggman's evil schemes, Sonic sacrifices himself to save the world, and Metal Sonic absolutely looses it. He had been thinking about betraying his creator for a long time now, especially since he technically lost his free will after Sonic Heroes. Well, now he gets his chance because Sonic's death was the final nail in the coffin, or rather, the glitch in his code that led him to fully defect from his creator.

In his desperation, he stumbles upon some scrapped scheme, a failed plan that Eggman never set in motion; Holographic technology. So Metal does a bit of DIY and uses this tech to disguise himself as Sonic, essentially finally taking his place and becoming the next hero of Mobius.

In fact, this disguise is so good that even Dr Eggman is fooled and thinks that Sonic is actually alive (he probably thinks that Metal got destroyed or something). Tails however, knows that something is wrong, because Sonic's body had been recovered, and there's another Sonic running around, but he's more...robotic than usual. So Tails decides to do some investigating.

Metal, however, won't stop until he's achieved his ultimate goal, defeating his creator once and for all.

Im calling this AU the "Machina AU" or the "Doppelgänger AU"

I like to think that during the time when Sonic hit puberty, he became a lot more confident with himself, and besides, he has his friends to support him all the way though it.

Metal Sonic is also going through puberty, but for robots. Eggman is absolutely terrified because he's afraid it's going to be another Sonic Heroes type situation. (cough cough Neo Metal)

Metal is 10 times more solitary and dangerous than before. His voice suffers from many glitchy voice cracks, and his hormonal instincts consume him like a runaway freight train. He can and will stab people, yet his hard drive runs on the equivalent of Windows XP, and he doesn't know how to emotion.

Random Sonic headcanons because why not

Tails has a comic book collecting hobby, yet only Sonic knows about it. Sometimes, they like to make pillow forts together and read them at night, like a secret book club.

Speaking of book clubs, Amy is a very avid reader and has joined at least 5 book clubs in her lifetime

Knuckles doesn't know how to cook.

Metal Sonic is the same age as Sonic in Mobian years.

Eggman has absolutely no clue how to raise teenagers, especially if said teenager is a killer robot who had an emo phase and tried to take over the world once.

Infinite is known to howl like an actual jackal sometimes, but he only does this in private to spare the embarrassment

Infinite looks like a 20 year old but he's actually a teenager. That's because the Phantom Ruby made him act more mature

Sonic writing prompts

I felt like coming up with Sonic prompts, so feel free to write something with these!

1.Amy and Knuckles bake cookies for everyone! Well they try to at least, shenanigans ensue and this results in the oven nearly catching on fire. But somehow they manage to get it done.

2.Sonic using math based pick up lines on Infinite. This results in Sonic winning the fight and Infinite's just floating there bluescreening. Bonus if next fight Infinite does the same towards Sonic and they turn it into some kind of game.

3.Eggman taking Sage to Disneyland along with Metal Sonic.

4.Metal Sonic trying to impress an oblivious Amy Rose while on a mission. Spoiler:it doesn't work

5.Knuckles trying to take a vacation away from the Master Emerald while Sonic guards it for him. (Based off of the Spongebob episode "Squids Day Off").

6.A confused Metal Sonic tries to learn about Mobian culture with a little help from Amy. Metal learns many things but that still doesn't explain this weird feeling he has whenever he's around her.

Ok so I saw the newest Sonic Prime trailer and basically it's Sonic traveling though a bunch of alternative universes and meeting alternative versions of his friends while his real freinds are trying to help him.

Also I'm sorry but the alternative versions of Eggman look like Despicable Me characters.

What I learned from the Sonic Twitter Takeover 6

-Amy and Shadow are fans of Taylor Swift.

-Knuckles likes rocks that are shaped like animals and collects them as a hobby

-Eggman had a manbun from when he still had hair

-The Bee Movie and the Sonic Games exist in Sonic's universe

-Shadow is possibly Pansexual

-Amy likes to visit Little Planet when she has the time

-Little Planet appears once a month every year

-Knuckles hates the Macarina

I came up with a Sonic prompt many of you will find interesting (or not but I'm going to post it here anyway).

Ever since they met in the jungle, Sonic and Infinite have some sort of unsolved tension between them, so they treat their battles as some sort of a twisted game amongst themselves even though they are mortal enemies. Months later, Eggman comes up with a plan to destroy Sonic once and for all but Infinite isn't having it, not when he's secretly struggling with his emotions. Infinite has a plan to fight back but for now he waits for his time to strike.

AKA Infinite betrays Eggman without him knowing because he's in love with this blue hedgehog that he's never seen before and finds him fascinating. But first he has to break free from the Ruby's control before he can do anything.

Maybe after the war, Infinite will finally have his long romantic walk on the beach.

Metal Sonic Headcanons

Hello everyone. I am back with more of my Sonic headcanons, this time it's Metal Sonic who is stealing the spotlight! Since I have been thinking a ton about him lately, I thought it would be neat if I told you my many headcanons I have for him. Hope you like them!

-Metal is very curious about biology and how it works. He hates Sonic yet he finds organic beings very fascinating. He really wants to see what makes them tick even if it means killing them in the process.

-Metal Sonic is a Demiboy (He/Xe)

-Metal Sonic would definitely buy and wear 80's vaporwave styled clothing. Pants or skirts? No problem! He would just wear both and slay on the battlefield. He's a killer robot so he doesn't care about what other people think of him, Not when he's stabbing them of course.

-Metal Sonic is also Genderfluid. He mostly identifies as He/Xe but sometimes switches to They/Them pronouns.

-He has a tiny crush on Amy, but he doesn't even want to admit it. Feelings are way too confusing for him.

-Sonic Heroes in a nutshell was just his edgy teenage rebellion phase

-In Mobian years he is the same age as Sonic

-He is a skilled hacker and can hack almost anything (think of Sombra from Overwatch) yet this power waned since the events of Sonic Heroes

I need to see this but with Eggman and Metal Sonic.

It's literally just them.
