Ah fck this.,, art is so hard.,,, it’s so frustrating :’ like I wanted to create some fanart for my ship and it was sooo hard……… I can’t even…,. There’s so much in realising I have to learn ahahah….. (sob) oh man. This shit is so hard n annoying. The frustration I felt while attempting too…. :’ I wanted to give up so badly aahahha.

After the last picture I drew, I wanted to draw that kind of eyes again and I think they look amazing 🤩 and it's actually quite simple to draw them like that (if you know what you are doing, of course 😂).

Once again this is far cry from a legit ‘tutorial’- but I guess you guys are finding my quick, roughed-out tips pretty helpful since I keep getting asked for more!

Can eyes scar? Like... If you scratch your eye and it heals up does it scar? Do your eyes get scarred up after surgery? If they do does the scarring work the same as scarring on your skin?
It is unlikely but.. what if Jonah decided to in some time period, to be a woman for a little bit. Not even in a trans way, which I am now thinking about. I mean, in a "goug out eyes and replace with his own" type of be a woman. So.. I drew what I think she would look like? It's a bit rushed but I just wanted to get the idea out. I feel like he never did it again because he didn't like how people treated him at the time (time period misogyny). If anyone wants to draw lady Jonah, then that's fine. I encouraged it. Sorry if it's a bit messy, it was just a quick sketch. Also, I thought that he would put eyes on the back of his dress so he could see our of them. Should I call Jonah a she or a he when hes/shes this? I'm not sure. Probably he.

Okay, to put the negativity of the world aside. Here’s some nice little random doodles.
i tried my old glasses for the first time in 4 years yesterday (I haven't used my glasses at all for the last 4 years) and I was blown away, I haven't seen this much detail close up in years so maybe it is time to go get some glasses

this was gonna be a tutorial and i guess it still is but if anything it’s just a really long and drawn out “essay” on drawing people with epicanthic folds. one of my biggest pet peeves is people drawing asian people exclusively with the same type of eye they’d give white people or anyone else who typically doesn’t have the fold! however i know that most people are taught with the standard white person eye (google image search for “eye” and it’ll all be pictures of white people’s eyes) so learning to draw epicanthic folds is a consciously learned thing.
therefore i bring you this, which attempts to break the mechanics of epicanthic folds down into something that’s a bit easier to digest and implement in your own art!
style can be argued i guess but it’s not that hard to stylize eyes with folds if you do proper observation and research. eyes with epicanthic folds are as diverse as eyes without so it’s not like you have to adhere to a strict model for them (although many people think that you have to) and all it takes to distinguish the two in stylized art (and even in semi/realism once you think about it) is a few lines! like i said this is a learned process but it’ll make your asian characters (and characters of other races even) a bit more interesting and believable.
