Good Cop, Bad Cop by @annas-hair-donut
E, 5 chapters. Imagines what life might be like for Kristoff (detective!) and Anna (devoted housewife!) as a married couple with a teenage daughter (unrepressed Elsa!) — pushing Kristanna to their limit and reigniting their spark. Steamy, thoughtful, transformative.
Another inspiring story from this author which is a perfect example that excellent stories with smut do not contribute to the demoralisation of humanity, but if anything can encourage empathy, reflection, acceptance, growth, hope — the good things that make us human — through the lens of one of our most human experiences.
Check out this under-appreciated fic and smother it in kudos and comments!

The Hales own and operate a ski resort, the Beacon Hills teens all go on a vacation there but since Stiles has a torn ACL he ends up spending more time with a certain grumpy employee while his friends go on the slopes ;)
Another huge recommendation - I'm a sucker for domestic scenes, 'you're intruiging in a way I can't put my finger on', and who doesn't love a lil' 'sharing body heat to stave off hypothermia'. The way this author writes dialogue and describes body language especially makes all their works a treat to read!

A Fanfic Writer Appreciation Day rec-list
So, I heard people are celebrating fanfic authors today, and I wanted to take the time to share some of my all-time favorites! (all are Gravity Falls)
Blind Faith, by @pinesinthewoods
Behold, the fic that firmly dragged me into the Gravity Falls fandom! I remember scrolling through GF fics on Ao3 for the first time, and this was one of the very first I read. It’s dark, has heaps of glorious Stan twin angst, and still lingers in my mind to this day.
Towards the Sun, by @pinesinthewoods and @notthistimespock
Out of every single fic I’ve ever read, this one succeeds the most in getting inside the character’s heads. A bit of a canon divergence where, to save Stanley, Ford must confront his brother’s darker side within the mindscape. (Admission: I cried on multiple occasions while reading this.)

I once told myself I’d never feel pity for a triangle. I was bitterly wrong. An amazing imagining of Bill’s childhood, early life, and rise to power… with lots of inspiration from Edwin A. Abbott’s Flatland.
Stars and Trees, by jikanet_tanaka
A set of small scenes and vignettes of Stan’s life, from childhood to present. All of them are focused on the theme of family, and how Stanley relates to the idea over time. They’re very feels-y and sweet, and characterize Stan so well!

Ah, where do I start with this? Probably the most pure examples of Fiddauthor and Mabifica I can think of. I adore the heaps and heaps of Pines family bonding in this and the slice-of-life feel it has… and yet there’s this feeling of something serious building in the horizon, and wow, I can’t wait to see what happens next with that!

The most fascinating take I’ve seen on Ford’s multiverse years. It features a very well developed OC, (honestly one of the best I’ve seen in this fandom), who becomes Ford’s traveling partner. Their interplay is equal parts hilarious and emotional at times, and is very deep without seeming forced. I really recommend this- it could use SO much more love! (It only has about 100 hits… and that needs to be changed ASAP! :D)

Summary: Valerie's new upgrades add an electric charge to all of her attacks. Danny is not a fan.
Comments: Oooo, this fic has a lot. Danny getting hurt by electrocution in a fight with Valeria, a mildly protective Skulker. There's good whump, coupled with the angst of an electric attack reminding Danny of the portal. You also get an identity reveal! So much in this little fic. *slaps the Ao3 link*

Especially when they portray Shen Yuan and his siblings (and how they effected him, even as SQQ)
Did Shen Yuan learn to braid hair for his little sister? Did one of his older brothers teach him how to do a good poker face? Did they all hang out? How did they fight? How did they bond? What were core memories that they share? Did their parents have a favorite? Who was Shen Yuan closest to?
How did they each react to his death?
Do they miss him?
"Let me see you (how I want to be seen)", also known in my WIPs as "Dancer Xie Lian" or "E-Ming's wish", is a Tian Guan Ci Fu fanfic I started writing eons ago and that is finally here with:
Hualian post-canon domestic tooth-rotting fluff.
E-Ming loving hours in which Ruoye gets love too.
Hua Cheng being a headache while having a headache.

Summary: When Xie Lian woke up, two things were unexpectedly the same as how they were hundreds of years ago: he spontaneously got in the mood to dance —something that he didn’t remember happening since his first banishment— and Hua Cheng decided to hide his face.

Jegulus (+ rosekiller & wolfstar) I Explicit I 16k I soulmates, everyone lives and no Voldemort AU, soulmarks, fluff and smut, comfort, baker James, domestic fluff, pet names, smutty smut.
Summary: Regulus knows that between the two of them, they most definitely did not win the lottery for the best soulmark tattoos. Barty with his silly Oi! and Regulus with his extremely bland Nice to meet you. Who the fuck has a soulmark like that? It defies the purpose of a soulmate identifying mark, for fuck’s sake! Regulus has lost count of the number of people whose first words when meeting him were exactly ‘nice to meet you’. How is he meant to know which one of them is his actual soulmate? And Barty is such a wild beast that most people address him with an oi, so it makes the two of them a couple of utter losers..
