wanted to force the point across that we're meant to socialize on a broad scale. To interact.
And I don't mean that in an emotional, "I saw a stranger on the bus and suddenly I remembered what we're here for" way (I do those too, but not today). I mean it in the barest, most fascinatingly clinical way.
Blood family.
Blood connects you to the most ABSTRUSE kinds of people! They can be such, such fundamentally different people to who you are yourself. Would you have ANYTHING to do your uncle if he weren't blood? Your aunt? It gets real great when you get close to each other in age. Would you have anything to say to your cousin if you met them in school?
It's bizarre. It's fascinating. It's a small but ridiculous. We are born, we are forced to interact with people completely different from ourselves. You choose friends. You don't choose blood family.
It seems so... stoic. Clumsy, brutal. There is no way you can escape the horrid, lovely, interesting, deeply uncomfortable ties to society. Not your society, not the one you create for yourself with friends, but the general one. You are born forced to confront the fact that humanity is as varied as snowflakes, to use a clichéd metaphor.
Do with that what you will. It's a fact. Not a single person can escape it. You always grow up with some kind of family that you're forced to spend time with. An orphanage, a traditional family, a single parent maybe.
Connection. For better or for worse.
We seriously don’t talk enough about Dr Reichwein. He was a father to Tenma, Nina and Dieter, he literally adopted the three of them.
I just know they lived together happily at the end.
I mean, Reichwein lived alone before they came to his life, I know Reichwein felt a little bit lonely but at the end I just know he feels happier with them.
He was more of a father to Tenma than his own parents, he was always there when Tenma got arrested. And Reichwein always took care of Nina when she had her PTSD episodes. Plus, the way he cared for Dieter it was so sweet, like a grandpa and grandson 😭
I love thinking of them on Christmas Day, halloween, Easter, their birthdays, Dieter’s first day of school, Dieter’s soccer games, going on vacation.
Stop. Found family is my favorite trope.

finally caught up on witch hat atelier!!! I LOVE COCO AND AGOTT AND RICHEH AND TETIA AND QIFREY AND OLRUGGIO SO MUCH!!!!! i love coco’s relationship with the girls especially agott and how qifrey & olruggio always prioritize the girls’ education & safety. you could feel the love they have for one another!! the beauty of magic and learning, the found family, the whimsical aspects, the dark tragic moments, all of these parts are done SO WELL. THIS MANGA IS JUST PERFECTION!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH <333333
yona of the dawn does found family so well. every single member of the happy hungry bunch has a connection between the other characters in the group. it isn’t just ONE person who has a deeper connection to everyone but EVERYONE has their own individual connection that we see grow during the manga. they all offer something different to the group that makes the chemistry incredible. they are my favorite depiction of found family across all media. kusanagi wrote these characters so beautifully and put so much care in their familial bond and it makes loving them so easy for me!! HAPPY HUNGRY BUNCH I’LL LOVE YOU FOREVER <3
witch hat atelier does found family so well. i love how it's so easy to see how much qifrey and olruggio care for the girls. it hasn't been long since coco joined the atelier, but she's adjusted so well it's almost like she's been there for years. watching her become closer to agott, richeh, and tetia is so beautiful to see!!! just two girl dads watching their four daughters become the best witches they can be <333
The inarizaki team recognize Akira like a little sister and they joke about it.
Her birthay it's a couple of days after the miya's birthay( 18 of june) meaning that she is the youngest second year, just being the Oldest obviously with Riseki and the rest of first years.
Atsumu and Osamu are the ones who joke the most the fact for obvious reasons, i mean literally they birthay it's a couple of days before Akira's, Atsumu is the one that always Say that the Oldest have to stay in charge with little things and Osamu always wanting to know how she is eating knowing that it's a fact that Akira is a Big eater like the silver hair twin.
Suna it's there too saying that he know how to act with a younger sister because he already hace one, and many photos too, Yep so many about the fact .
For Her it's lucky that Ginjima and Kosaku act normal like always like if they know nothing but Miyake know that they are laughing of her.
The third years are the only ones who act normal with her so the manager spend sometimes more time with them, You know what, forget about that because Maybe everyone is proctective but this four teenagers literally know how to be more scare that the others.
The time that Akira started daiting Mei and everyone in the team know her like the Cheerleader who is girlfriend of her manager , the third year have the face of looking through her soul and after that Mei don't want to put a feet in the gym.
Over the years this things don't pass so often but always Will be occasions where for example they Will talk like proud Big brothers for how far she got with her dream with the bakery and if i Say it she think the same with the others.
Because Maybe in the start was something anoying but as time passed was something normal, they look at her like she was part of the team and if she was sincere Akira Will always know how it's to be the younger sibling, talking care of her own little siblings was so much that they acting like that was something fresh and new for her.
And now, well she got for sport team a second family, and she Will always Will be remembering the times that Osamu and her help eachother with the culinary school or the silence confort when Her sempais help her to clean the Gym after practice or the crazy thing that happened with Atsumu, helping tutoring the others five because she litteraly was more inteligent ( for something she was in class 5) or the selfies with Rintarou, Even helping the first years with everything that they need it.
So if she has something to Say it's that she is happy with being the youngest sister of her favorite group
So I know it can be hard to find aroace Alastor and Alastor/ platonic relationships content. But I have put together a list of Al bonding with the others platonically. (All are on AO3)

This has to be one of my favorites in this list and it's longer. It focuses on Al and Angel a lot. It's incredibly clear that Alastor is Aroace in this one and I love it. Also boys wearing feminine clothes together. It's just adorable and it has some angst.
In sum: Angel is bored so Al teaches him how to sew.
