No this because i forget if its canon or just a common head canon but Scully is a nervous flyer, i wanna see scully popping three benadryl and passing out for the flight, i wanna see our sleepy agents getting off the plane after their flight was delayed again, i wanna see them holding hands during take off, i wanna- im a fanfic writer ill do It myself

mulder & scully spend so much time at the airport and on planes and we never see any of it. well i want to see it. i wanna see them grabbing overpriced bagels from the airport shops right before boarding. i wanna see scully doing crossword puzzles on the plane and mulder reading sci-fi magazines. i wanna see them impatiently waiting for their luggage to come down the carousel at baggage claim. absolutely nobody else wants to see this but i want to see this

Triangle is so important to me cuz what the fuck do you mean they’re platonic work partners but they find each other in every universe? You thought sad boy Mulder from abduction arc was unhinged? You are not prepared for Scully when Mulder hasn’t called her in 12 hours. SHE PULLS A GUN ON SPENDER IIRC or at least threatens to, we get to see gillian anderson dressed to the 9s in 1940s fashion and then the fact that Scully canonically kisses skinner before Mulder and the poor man is just flabbergasted. And then the end, when Scully is convinced Mulder is delusional and so on drugs that he doesn’t know what he saying/doesnt mean it. OH BROTHER?!?!?

What do you think their relationship was like the few days after that episode, did Mulder remember saying that? Did Scully remember him saying that everytime she walked into his hospital room and when he walked through the door at work for their shitty season 6 background checks?

Someone give me an x-files fic prompt to work on tomorrow can be fluffy or angsty or hurt comfort but I haven’t yet finished season 8 so nothing after that please (ignore that i havent worked on A Muse, A Myth, A Mortal all week, I’ll get around to it)

So my parents used to watch the show way back when it was airing and they were married and all that and a few weeks ago my mom asked if i wanted to watch and episode with her. I said sure and put on home; And while i’m sitting there like “aw i love the scene where scully tells mulder he’d lapse into catatonic shock with out his cell phone” my mom is literally hiding under her blanket

I know a lot of people have X-Files episodes that scared them or freaked them out, and I probably would feel the same way if I saw those scenes in a movie.

My brain refuses to get scared watching this show. My tolerance for scary/gory/creepy is pretty much infinite. It’s all just background for whatever the world’s most adorable FBI Agents are doing.

If Mulder and Scully are on screen, I’m just focusing on how cute they are. If they’re not on screen, I’m thinking about how cute they were in the previous scene.

I’m watching, I follow the plot, but I am filtering everything through my love of the characters.

Okay so i recently started doing dissections in my biology class and if you’ve ever done a dissection you know that you have to flip the left and right because you are facing the specimen, which leads me to a head canon:

Scully constantly gets her left and right confused. Not when shes autopsying, thats the only time she actually knows it, but shes terrible at giving and taking directions. She’ll look at a map and tell Mulder to turn right only to realize three miles later that they were supposed to go left. Mulder will tell her the paper she’s looking for is in the pile on her left and she only looks in the right stack 1 in 3 times

Okay so after kind of a long break cuz i felt like i burned through most of season 8 waiting for Mulder to get back i just started watching s08e19 Alone. Here are my thoughts

Aaaaahhhhh i love Dogget he’s grown on me so much. He and Scully actually care about each other as friends

Mulder taking an active role in Scully’s pregnancy after being justifiably distant since he’d been returned makes me melt

No dogget’s spent too much time with Scully he’s touching unidentified goup with his bare hands

Dad!skinner telling Scully she’s not aloud into the office. Skinner acting like Mulder and Scully are the two children he never wanted but begrudgingly loves anyway is my everything

Scully you should mot be autopsying that body and everyone knows it except for you apparently and btw put a goddamn mask on

Mulder is concerned about his son and his wife, partner (girl?) friend more than any x-file

Fox Mulder is so Johnny Cash coded. Not like Johnny Cash as a person, but his music. Not one specific song just the entire vibe, committing crimes, sometimes super silly and sometimes heart breaking. Scully and Mulder are Jackson in the most teasing way possible

ESPECIALLY DURING FIREWALKER LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? (Like yes they do later find out the specimens shes studying are non-pathogenic when they are not immediately exposed but she didnt know that at the time and she was leaning close to it not wearing a mask to look through the microscope. That’s bad lab etiquette.)

The season one dynamic is so important to me because you watch the first episode and you’re like “they’re gonna bone” even though they don’t really trust each other and its just this first time field agent who knows exactly what shes doing in theory but has never actually experienced any if this and this vetted agent who was renown for his profiles with violent crimes who every just thinks is crazy but the take each other so seriously from the get go and why the fuck are they standing that close to each other and then at the end of the season (which i estimate to be about a years worth of time) scully, who holds her job and success over everything else, is ready to lose her job to protect Mulder and he is mostly ready to give up the xfiles (in name atleast, you cant really have mulder without the xfiles) for the same reason.

They’re not friends, they’re not coworkers, they’re not romantically or sexual invoved they are a secret fifth thing

Let me tell you a secret, have you ever heard that greek myth where humans were made with two faces and four arms and legs until they got split in half and thats where soulmates came from? That was actually written to describe the relationship of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully

No one can tell me that if Mulder and Scully were hooking up but not together near the beginning of the series Casual by Chappell Roan wouldn’t have been their song while they were fighting their true romantic feelings and pushing each other away to keep their hearts safe
