We met because of these two, so it’s tradition for us to draw them for certain occasions (including fictional dates). Halloween happens to be MZ’s birthday, so this particular piece is a bit more spicy <3

There is a certain kind of silence when Death descends upon the living.

Some fun inside jokes for Rock and MZ. Let’s just say Rock doesn’t like to admit when he has a crush, and MZ.... well MZ doesn’t know how feelings work.

An old but totally necessary MZ. Very self indulgent.

The short story is that one of the groups I was in decided to have a fantasy AU, and THUS-- I essentially plugged AUs I had already conceptualized with the wife into there.

Talon is an AU Seraph, a griffin hybrid, and the other two are Delia and Zuri (AUs of Amelia and Zain, respecitvely).

Yesterday (March 23rd) was Rock’s birthday so I thought I’d doodle the red and blue idiots. They changed my life for the better, and they deserve it <3!

Rock is the reason I met the love of my life, and I connect with him a lot. Obviously there’s plenty of sentimental feelings given I use him as my screenname now, and most of the stories we write are really just, AU off branches of these two and a few characters close to them.

Plus I say every year how I’M GONNA DRAW SOMETHING WHEN THAT DAY ROLLS AROUND and usually end up too busy for personal art |D

MZ and Rock! This was a Valentines gift for my wife, as we got married this year! I’m aware I’m like, months late in posting this, but here it is! I really wanted to draw them, as they were the reason we met today, and who we are as people, and who we are together. I don’t normally post WIPs, but this was really important, so I felt the need to share anyways.

Here he is… Death.

Death is, as you can tell, the ‘Earth Prime’ version of MZ. As Kara pointed out with Dirge, we like to interconnect out universes, and he became the ‘plot reason’ her Rock and my MZ are fated to be together. TLDR; he is the God of Death, paired with the God of Life to keep the balance of souls in check. His abilities aren’t restricted to a single quadrant of the multiverse, but the multiverse as a whole, though there are some places that are harder to access more than just observatory than others. 

Most things cannot see him, much like other other-folk, but sometimes he can be glimpsed in crowds or distant places, watching and observing. His cloak is a form of his wings, of which there are eight pairs, and only are visible in times of great calamity and danger. Normally it moves and shifts as it is made of shadows, just like he sometimes is. He shifts in shadows and moves with them, though has no adverse reactions to being in the sunlight either.

Kara wrote a little about how he and Dirge first met, but the summary is that Fate (the Goddess of Fate, I’ll make her a shiny ref at some point) told him to don his Avatar’s skin and interact with one of the souls he was meant to reap– that soul was Dirge. Fate had it so that Dirge was Death’s first Guardian, who functions as a reaper to ferry souls from place to place, and be another set of eyes.

Death rarely speaks, and responds to things in a neutral manner. After all, souls are hardly worth talking to, all of them bargain to have a life that is already gone.
