Spoiler for Born Again season 1 episode 9
Ok so in the post credit scene for episode 9 we see Frank making his escape, which gives me hope that we get a teamup between Frank Castle and Jack Duquesne in season 2 which is something I'ld love to happen. Please give me a Punisher Swordsman teamup, it would so good.
Just saw the finale episode of Daredevil: Born Again so I thought I'ld share my thoughts on the whole first season.
Spoilers by the way.
First of all the Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio were fantastic as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, two of the best performances in the entire MCU in my opinion. Everyone loves Matt (for good reason) but Fisk has always been my favourite. He is one of my favourite MCU villains and the writing for him is always great.
The scenes with Frank are great. In particular the scene between him and Matt in episode 4 is one of the best scenes in the whole show.
I liked the stuff with White Tiger. R.I.P. Kamar de los Reyes, you did a great job.
I liked Muse, he was good villain. Kinda reminds me of the serial killers in the Hannibal tv show (that's a compliment btw that show is great). I wished he wasn't killed off after two episodes, would've liked to see more of him.
I liked the Pointdexter scenes. Everytime he appeared I was thinking 'oh fuck' especially during and after his breakout in episode 8. Also the use of blue and red lighting in episode 8 is so good.
I liked Vanessa. She felt more like her own character and had more to do compared to the original Daredevil show (granted I last watched Daredevil about 3 months ago so maybe I'm misremembering)
Didn't expect Tony Dalton to show up in this but I'm glad he did. He was great in the Hawkeye show and he's great in this. Hopefully he'll reappear in season 2.
Buck was alright, though I do wish we had James Wesley instead. This is not a fault of Born Again, I just wished they didn't kill him off in Daredevil season 1. I liked Daniel, he had some good scenes. I liked BB as well. Didn't really care for any of the other new characters though tbh.
The bank episode was fun, I liked seeing Yusaf Khan. I want to see Matt have dinner with the Khans now. Also Matt whistling while walking into the bank during an armed robbery is so fucking funny.
The fight scenes and choreography was great. When Fisk killed the commissioner I audibly said "Holy shit! What the fuck?!". It's so brutal and gory, I kinda love it.
It was sad that they killed Foggy but thankfully it didn't feel like an unnecessary kill. Everything surrounding Matt and everything he does in some way has to do with his death.
Anyway I really really liked this. It is my favourite Disney+ Marvel show (though Loki is a close second) and I cannot wait for season 2.

very focused on platonic relationships and humor
a lot of bonding with the AcaDec team
I'll also add Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane, Harry Osborn and the FF
it'll have slight Liz Allan x Peter Parker but it won't go anywhere
It WILL have Spideytorch!! But it won't happen until we go through the blip, where the FF will appear and we'll see some of them. Then when they win the war Spidey and torch will meet and it'll begin!
I'm very anti shield and you'll see a lot of that if I can
It won't have ANY smut. Sorry guys but I'm aroace and I'm sex repulsed :(
It will have a lot of Peter acts like a spider and vigilante things (so illegal stuff)

Predictions for Daredevil Born Again:
1) Bullseye kills Foggy Nelson in the first few episodes. Foggy’s death is what leads to Matt retiring from vigilante work.
2) Muse, the main villain, is targeting Wilson Fisk (based on the comic arc). He is an artist/serial killer obsessed with killing Fisk and adding him to his “artwork”.
3) Matt goes to Frank Castle for help since he can’t track down Muse. His reasoning is that he goes to another serial killer for advice (think Hannibal Lecter and Clarice Starling).
4) Muse kills another person close to Matt. Since Karen Page might be overkill since I’m predicting Foggy is going to die, Muse might end up killing Matt’s new love interest Heather Glenn. Knowing the comics, Matt going into a spiral because he lost another girlfriend is lore accurate. Or maybe the show says fuck it and kills off Karen as well, leaving Matt the sole surviving member of the Daredevil trio.
5) Since Fisk is being targeted by Muse, he forms a temporary alliance with Matt Murdock, hence the diner scene. So, Fisk isn’t the main villain of the season. However…
6) …the season ends with Fisk turning against Matt Murdock after Muse’s defeat. Fisk becomes mayor and in his first act, he pushes for a series of laws targeting superheroes/vigilantes. Fisk argues that masked menaces like Muse is the reason why the laws need to be passed. In reality, Fisk is using these laws to take down Daredevil, Punisher, and anyone else capable of stopping him. Born Again ends with Matt Murdock going on the run due to the new laws being passed.
7) Since Yusuf Khan is in the show, I’m assuming Kamala Khan is making a guest appearance. Maybe she helps get Matt Murdock out of NYC since the entire police force will be gunning for him. If so, that means Daredevil season 5 is going to start off with him in New Jersey.

Frank is very much okay with his girl being a badass. It’s cute and kinda hot the way she tries to take him down with what she learns. She’s gotten so damn confident since she started, and so much happier. Even though she wakes up every day in pain, she does it with a smile. She gets up and goes to bjj, then cools down at home before and after work. He respects her for that, he really does. He’s happy she found something.
But when his girl comes home with a split lip because (of course) she doesn’t wear a mouthguard, he almost has a conniption. She’s sitting on the couch watching tv when he gets home and he can already see the puffy lip and the bruise on her forearm and the bruises on her chest because it’s spring and it’s 85 degrees out right now and goddamnit she’s not putting on real clothes, she’s putting on a thin ass tank top that’s practically made of clear plastic.
Frank walking in the door and kissing her and seeing all the bruises, immediately putting aside whatever actual bleeding wounds he has for the bruises and split lip of his girl, going and grabbing the ice before disappearing into the bathroom to stitch himself up or whatever other things need to be done.
And when they wake in the morning and her lip is all puffy, Frank gets her a glass of water and makes her stay in bed, telling her she can’t go to her 6am class because its simply not happening, Frank driving her to a gym instead because “this damn sport of yours is too dangerous sweetheart”
And when you get home that night, a red mouthguard is sitting on the kitchen table.
