thinking abt the part in i saw the tv glow when owen/isobel has their head in the sparking television and their dad pulls them out. thinkin abt how to other people, transitioning looks like harm and they want to be the saviors. abt how transitioning unsafely in a desperate attempt to find yourself feels like sticking your head in an electrical fire and it hurts so much but feels so right. yeah.
carmy’s reason for quitting cigarettes being “im just thinking about the ten minutes its going to take me” is fucking sending me. bc it really shows that he doesnt even have room for his unhealthy coping mechanisms. he isnt trying to get better or fix himself or even calm down any more. its all about Time
the bear s3 finale is like if u talked to all the trauma u ever experienced and it said “i made u who u are and i did a rlly good job actually” and u gotta sit there deeply panicked about Every Event Ever and just try not to accept that answer.

yes i get emo abt the jinx and vi foil, but what i really wanna talk about is the jinx and jace foil. two brilliant minds that both figured out the power of the strange blue crystals and how to harness it, but separated by class (i.e. tools and access and power dynamics).
jinx being part of the lower class and being manipulated by its territory leader, OF COURSE she was going to build weapons and explosives and the things that are used to progress a rebellion. jace was a student, with access to sophisticated tools and mentors and eventually even a leadership position himself, OF COURSE he was going to make mechanisms to build and help further the expansion of a prosperous "higher society." i just. i love when characters are a product of their environment/social class.
