This woman has been experiencing time after time of misfortune and due to loss and a lot of the inflated prices of 2025, she cannot even afford food for her family.
She does not have access to her widow’s benefits.

Her spouse died in December 2024 of Parkinson’s Disease.

My dear friend, Sally Frisbey, lost her husband of 40 years in December 2024 of Parkinson's Disease. Since his passing, she and her family are struggling with everyday life and trying to meet basic needs, i.e., food insecurity: due to her debt after her husband's passing, she has been unable to bring food into her home for her family. She & her late spouse were both retired and after his passing so went more than half of their finances. She has not been able to receive her widow benefits. She has been unable to afford to pay for her monthly expenses: she's $2,000 behind in electric bills and she's been unable to seek assistance. Currently, she's just trying to navigate life as a widow. She is a hardworking, loving woman of faith who loves her God and loves people, a person who, when a need arises, seeks to meet that need however possible. Now she needs a helping hand to get her through the days ahead.

Hello, my name is Rola, and I am a mother of two children living in the Gaza Strip. Our lives were once filled with love, laughter, and dreams for the future. But everything changed on October 7th, when the war shattered not only our home but our entire world.
That morning, my family and I were enjoying coffee together on the balcony. Out of nowhere, an explosion erupted, shaking our home violently. My husband and son ran for cover, falling over each other in panic, while I stood frozen, still holding my cup, unable to process the chaos around me. When I looked out the window, I saw that our neighbor’s house, once filled with life, had been reduced to rubble. Ambulances rushed to the scene as people scrambled to rescue the injured and pull bodies from the debris.
The bombings didn’t stop. At night, the rain poured heavily, and the cold seeped into our bones. I stayed awake, covering my children to keep them warm and praying for their safety. But safety is an illusion here. Another explosion shattered the night, and our neighbors’ home was destroyed. Their children, who had been sleeping peacefully under a blanket, were found lifeless, their cover soaked in blood.
I looked at my children with tears in my eyes and thought, How can I protect you? We had to flee our home with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We left behind my children’s toys, their clothes, and their beautiful bedroom. Everything we had worked so hard to build is gone.
Our Current Reality Now, we are displaced and living in a nightmare. Food is scarce, and prices are unimaginably high—$10 for a kilo of sugar! The fear of death hangs over us constantly. My children deserve a life of joy and hope, not one defined by fear and loss. Why can’t we live like everyone else—go to work, visit family, and watch our children play in safety? Why do our children have to grow up surrounded by death and destruction?

In this image, he appears stunned and helpless, pulling his sleigh no longer filled with presents, but with the bodies of those who perished amidst the destruction.
Santa, who once brought hope, now stands in the heart of tragedy, witnessing a reality beyond imagination. There are no celebrations here, no lights, and no children's laughter. Only screams, tears, and rubble that tells stories of pain.

As the world counts down to new beginnings, I’m counting the hours, desperately fighting to keep my baby, Mohammed, alive.

2025 began and while the whole world celebrates the New Year where fireworks and beautiful atmospheres, Gaza is still living under the terrifying lights of rockets in its dark sky, Gaza is still bleeding, still wounded, destroyed, meaningless of life.

What is the guilt we have committed to live without life, without shelter, without housing, without food, without safety??!!
We die a hundred times a day,,, we die of the cold, we die of hunger, we die when we see the suffering of our children inside the tent with a torn roof that does not protect from the cold of winter or from the heat of summer, the tent full of rain, the tent that is shaken by the wind...
What is the fault of my child to be born in a war without any health care, and without the slightest rights enjoyed by the children of the world??!! 👶

My name is Sahar. A marketer shopping from Gaza, athe dreams she worked for but found herself losing the city she’s living in and losing any hope of a better future with it . And after a whole 4 years of studying and internship, the war had another idea.
I have 4 children: Hala the oldest, Rital, Odi, and Talin. We had a house full of love, dreams, and hopes that we strive to achieve one by one, but the war came and destroyed everything. We strive to travel outside Gaza to preserve our lives and obtain safety.
. In 15th of January 2024 my son Odai has An injury in his leg byShooting from a quadcopter aircraft in a shelter belonging to the UN Relief Agency
This loss circle didn’t end here, cause after more than 5 times of being displaced and having to leave our house escaping from rockets and death, we returned to our house and found it almost wiped off, more than half if it was destroyed and became an unlivable place leaving us not only with tired hearts but also without a place to stay in
Our Home
We are suffering in the UNRWA shelter center from overcrowding, the spread of diseases, pollution, and the difficulty of obtaining water and entering the bathroom due to the large number present in the place. It has been a year since this suffering.
Look what this horrible war has done to us. It has turned our lives upside down. It is hard for your mind to imagine. You were living in a villa with all your necessities and luxury items available until the war transferred you to live in a school for more than 13 months. We saw death 100 times a minute. I have attached pictures of the suffering of living in the school.
The situation after almost 13 months of this genocide is that the borders of Gaza are still unfortunately closed and no one can get out of it, of course unless you pay the most money to save your life and cross the Rafah crossing to reach Egypt, as crossing the Rafah crossing costs about $25,00 to $5,000 per person, and as a family of 9, the amount we have to pay just to get to Egypt seems impossible to bear.
So, this is how the money will be spent:
* Paying about $5,000 for each member of my family of 9 to cross the Rafah crossing and safely reach Egypt
* About $5,000 covers the GoFundMe transaction fees (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction)
* The rest of the money will be for housing, food, etc. for a period of time in Egypt
Asking for your help is the only way to save my family’s life and future, and your help may become our hope when hope is far from us under these circumstances, every dollar you can help with may save a life, bring hope to a tired heart and save a young future.
Please don't read this as a tragedy, I am here to ask you to prevent further tragedy and help us start our lives over.
