This Year While We All Celebrate Pride Month And Celebrate Ourselves As Well As Those Who Came Before

this year while we all celebrate pride month and celebrate ourselves as well as those who came before us and paved the way for us to do so, we must also think of those in gaza, queer or not, who live every day under a brutal occupation and don’t have that same privilege. happy pride, and may we see a free palestine in this lifetime.

Hi everyone, I'm back with another Gaza G*fundme post. Both of these people reached out to me over Instagram to help them evacuate and rebuild their lives. Please donate or share if you can, it would mean the world to them and to me personally to help them in whatever way you can - even if it's just a little. People in Gaza need our help more than ever.

If all of my followers donated just one dollar each, we could raise thousands together.

(Obligatory disclaimer: I am not Palestinian.)

Dr. Alaa Saleem is a surgeon in Gaza. She is such a kind soul and is trying her best to evacuate. Dr. Saleem's life, career and livelihood have been completely destroyed. For all the people she's helped and lives she's saved as a medical professional, the world has rewarded her with unfathomable horror. Please help her here.

Important thing to remember: the only reason the number of deaths in Palestine are going down is because there isn't enough people to kill.

Read that again.

The only reason the number of deaths in Palestine are going down is because there isn't enough people to kill.

The genocide is still happening. The cruelty and inhumanity is still happening.

People are not numbers.

It is time we stop treating them as such.

Free Palestine.

in light of israel's looming invasion on rafah, south africa implored the icj to call for the protection of palestinians with new preliminary orders. the icj denied this request, insisting that its january orders would be sufficient enough in ensuring the safety of people residing in rafah.

we have all seen how israel responded to the icj verdict earlier this month. they have all but intensified their attacks on palestinians, their favorite of whom seem to be children. this will end in a bloodbath. palestinians, already malnourished and living in literal tents, will be bombarded, they will be shot, they will be slaughtered. and when i say palestinians, a lot of them are actual toddlers. the videos coming out of this are proof enough.

at this point, it has been made amply clear that palestinians will never experience safety in their own homeland. a lot of the families in gaza are trying to raise funds to get out of it, because there's nowhere left to go.

there is nowhere left to go. if these people don't get the funds necessary to escape, they will die.

it's vital that you go to operation olive branch's spreadsheet, choose a family that resonates with you, and donate as much as you can to their gofundme. every last dollar counts. one dollar could be the difference between life and death for a family. please don't fall victim to the bystander effect. your contribution counts, however little it may be. and whether you're able to donate or not, spread this to as many people as you can. each second we stay silent is a second an entire family is brutally massacred.

I'm never forgetting the Palestinian babies that were left to starve to death then rot in their beds by the IOF.

I'm never forgetting the Palestinian doctors surrounded by bodies of dead children begging the world to stop the slaughter.

I'm never forgetting the Palestinian children who held a press conference in English to beg the world to stop murdering them because they want to live.

I'm never forgetting the Palestinian Priest who said "We will not accept your apology after the genocide" to the world.

I'm never forgetting the Palestinian Imam who used the speakers of the Mosque, not to call people to prayer but to call out to God while the world around them was burning from American supplied Israeli bombs.

I'm never forgetting the grandfather who held his dead grandchild in his arms. Or the father carrying the remains of his two children in plastic shopping bags. Or the mother holding her dead child in a shroud. Or the father sitting among the rubble after he lost his whole family. Or the girl trapped under a broken building begging for people to save her family first. Or the boy who cried when he saw his brother alive. Or the girl who asked if she was still alive after being pulled from the rubble. Or the boy who carried the remains of his brother in his backpack. Or the old man the IOF used for a photoshoot before they shot him dead after getting pictures. Or the little boy wearing plastic gloves to pick up the remains of his family. Or the graves desecrated. Or the body of that small baby girl left alone in a tent because no one knew who she was or if her family was alive, small and alone and not one person who knew her name to bury her. Or the young boy who was shot in the street while his sister watched from the window. Or the men and boys who were stripped naked in winter. Or those tortured. Or those made to stand in open graves. Or the people who were raped by IOF soldiers. Or Palestinian workers kidnapped by the IOF and then labeled with wristbands, each one reduced to a number, then made to walk back to Gaza to be killed in the world's largest open air concentration camp. Or the people of Gaza starving because Israeli Zionists are blocking aid trucks. Or the Israelis dancing and celebrating the death of Palestinians. Or the lies spread by Zionists and their supporters. Or the people profiting off the oppression and deaths of Palestinians. Or the people of the West Bank being killed or kidnapped by the IOF. Or old woman who was older than the creation of the terror state of "Israel" who was shot by snipers for saying that. Or the Israelis dressed up as Palestinians to enter a hospital and kill three Palestinians in their beds. Or every single Palestinian currently kept in an Israeli prison. Or the journalists, doctors, poets, men, women, children, and the unborn all massacred. Or the fact that WCNSF exists now. Or the woman who refused to wash the blood from her hands. Or the dead, unburied and unmourned.

I'm never forgetting those who chose silence in the face of a genocide.

I may not know all their names but I will not forget the over 30,000 Palestinians dead. Or the over 60, 000 people hurt. Or the unknown number of people missing, still lost under the rubble. Or the 12,000 children slaughtered. An entire generation crippled or murdered.

I will never forget these things when Palestine is free.

I need everyone to understand that even as Palestinians, with everything that we grew up witnessing and learning about, some of what we've been seeing unfold in Gaza is still too horrific for us to bear or wrap our heads around

Children saying "I'd rather be dead" is not normal. Children crying "is this a dream?" is not normal. Children wondering "am I being taken to the cemetery?" is not normal.

We can all reckon the lasting psychological effects of this genocide on these children, but also remember that to many of the children of Gaza, this is the second, third, or even fourth Israeli aggression they had to live through.

Almost 50% of Gaza's population are children, over 10,000 of which have been murdered by Israel since October of this year.

Gaza has a large disabled population. Wissam is just one of tens of thousands, who need medication and care, facing the devastating choice of being slaughtered at home or out on the streets. All districts in Gaza but one have been declared combat zones.

The fact that people keep conflating critiquing government practices and policies with hating an entire religion with its own diaspora of practice is concerning, like in the long term

exactly. people are conflating their own identity with a genocidal regime and then scream bloody murder when you criticise the regime because THEY feel like it’s an attack on their identities 💀 it’s so stupid.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: people who think criticising israel and wanting to dismantle an ethno-religious apartheid state is a sign of antisemitism are only giving their religion and ethnicity a bad name.

it is a farce to believe that israel is the only way jews can be free. it is a farce to believe that jews are more marginalised than the palestinians as a whole.

there was absolutely no need to establish the state of israel in the first place. palestinians welcomed jewish refugees. they only demanded the british reduce the number of jews migrating to palestine because the zionists were saying things like “build a jewish land as jewish as england is english” or “remove the arabs from the land for the jews” or “a land with no people for a people with no land”

it’s completely understandable to not want crazy psycho colonisers and settlers to enter your land from europe of all places when they’ve been spreading ideologies of ethnic cleansing and taking over your land based on THEIR religious scriptures.

and not even that, the very first chapter (well technically second but the first chapter is just defining ethnic cleansing so my brain doesn’t count it HAHA) of ilan pappé’s ethnic cleaning of palestine describes what is truly written in jewish scriptures.

The Fact That People Keep Conflating Critiquing Government Practices And Policies With Hating An Entire
The Fact That People Keep Conflating Critiquing Government Practices And Policies With Hating An Entire

of course there are multiple types of zionism (as you often hear israeli leftists and pro-israel people talk about when you criticise zionism) but this—political zionism—is what’s being weaponised and used in modern day israel to oppress the palestinians. not that the other models or zionism are not rooted in colonial projects as well lol but that’s a separate post for a different day.

the point is… it doesn’t take a genius to understand why palestinians opposed the eventual large emigrations of jews from around the world to palestine. if you’ve seen my post on the timeline of the nakba, you’ll understand exactly what i mean.

having a connection to a land thousands of years back does not give you the right to claim someone else’s home as your own. and saying that should not automatically label you as antisemitic because that implies that your religion supports and endorses the ethnic cleansing of native people from the land to “build your holy land”.

and even so, the land is not just holy to jews. it’s holy to christians and muslims too. it’s valuable and dear to all people of abrahamic religions. so it makes no sense for one group to claim the entirety of it on religious grounds.

nor does it make sense for a marginalised group to claim someone else’s land because they have been ethnically cleansed from the land they were born in. the reward of jewish suffering cannot come at the expense of the suffering of palestinians. i’m not sure why that’s so hard to understand. i don’t see where the antisemitism is in all this.

and i certainly don’t understand the idiots rattling on about “the second coming of holocaust vibes” because zionists are being criticised and as a result there is a spike in antisemitic sentiment among bigoted individuals. how can you worry about a second holocaust when there is a genocide ACTIVELY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW that is being carried out by YOUR STATE, on the basis of YOUR IDENTITY, endorsed by YOUR PEOPLE.

how one can overlook the killings of 20K people and think “gosh i’m worried they’re going to start executing my people again”? i’ll never understand.

never mind how antisemitism is not even a systemic issue. jews are not systemically discriminated against for being jewish. most ashkenazi jews can get away with being jewish with nobody batting an eye other than bigoted people being vile and disgusting. palestinians on the other hand not only are being oppressed by israel and actively being killed and displaced, they are also frequently profiled for being arabs. they are frequently profiled for being muslims. they are systemically profiled. especially in western countries. look at how all the western universities support israel and speak up for israel yet nobody squeaks a word out for palestine. students have to make individual efforts to show solidarity.

refaat alareer was a UCL alumnus yet they refused to even say “rip refaat” on their page. point blank refused. 3 students from brown university were shot for wearing keffiyeh. and yet, universities still want to police students for saying “from the river to the sea” and “intifada” as if they’re calls for genocide.

and even if they are (they’re NOT but let’s imagine)… a call for a genocide cannot take precedence over AN ACTUAL genocide??

ugh sorry this got so long, anon. i got a lil angry. it’s just baffling to me how people can ignore the palestinians like this and refuse to show even an ounce of empathy.

someone on twitter said:

the double standard of the palestinian “conflict” is that any palestinian violence justifies any israeli violence, but no israeli violence ever justifies palestinian violence.

and i haven’t stopped thinking about this since.

any violence by israel is seen as self defense on a land they took by force. and any retaliation by palestinians is seen as an act of “terrorism” even though it was their land that was stolen. it was their people who were massacred and ethnically cleansed in 1948.

it is the palestinians who are constantly being oppressed. it is the palestinians who are largely stateless. it is the palestinians who do not have a right to return. it is the palestinians who are being silenced. it is the palestinians who are being murdered in cold blood.

israel must be dismantled and palestine must be liberated. the palestinians must receive compensation and a restoration of their rights. they must be given their land back. no questions asked.

and before all that… there MUST be a permanent ceasefire and an end to occupation.

Al Jazeera reporter was just saying how the increasing number of bodies arriving at the hospital has made it really difficult to find spots to bury them. He said that the nearby cemeteries are full... and families cannot take them to other areas to bury them because they either don't have fuel for their cars or israel would target and attack them as they do any moving thing.

And don't even think of fridges, these are either not working due to the lack of fuel/electricity or are already full, if not completely destroyed as part of Israel's targeting of hospitals in Gaza.

There is an increasing fear of illnesses spreading in the besieged Gaza Strip due to this and to the many bodies still trapped under rubble who cannot be recovered due to lack of resources or fuel to work big machinery and the fact Israel positions snipers on top of buildings, so to reach these areas can be a death sentence on its own.

This is just a small segment of what the grim situation has been like in Gaza. People need to bury their loved ones but the terror of Israel had made even that an impossible mission.

Advocacy needs to be louder than ever. Israel can only continue to do this because it has never been held accountable for its crimes. Don't ever say this is a two sided conflict, this example alone can show the extent of dehumanisation Palestinians suffer at the hands of Israel and should be enough to tell you that it is not some fair 50/50 game. It's genocide.

Netanyahu says Israel will continue war against Hamas after cease-fire
PBS NewsHour
In comments Tuesday ahead of an expected Cabinet vote on a cease-fire proposal, Netanyahu vowed to press ahead. “We are at war, and we will

Please, everyone pay attention to the very specific things being said. I keep seeing posts that imply people think everything is over and that a permanent ceasefire has been reached.

The deal is for a pause. Yes, it's longer than other pauses, and yes, if Israel upholds their end of the bargain, it will save lives. But the same problems with the other pauses are present with this one.

Netanyahu has promised to continue what he calls a war after the pauses.

This is a respite but not salvation. Keep contacting your reps.

never want to hear "but hamas!!1" again. palestinians released from israeli prisons recount routine torture, brutality, abuse, deliberate mistreatment & neglect, and murder. a 14 year old child that was released from israeli prison has half of his skull missing. for every "prisoner" israel releases because of the truce they kidnap more. the iof steals organs from murdered palestinians. they withhold the bodies of the dead from their families. they have robbed the very homes of the people they've spent over 50 days bombing.

and hamas? testimonies from israeli hostages have been consistent from the start: they are not harmed, mistreated, or tortured. food and medical attention was provided as their captors were able to provide it (the lack of food is directly a consequence of the blockade on gaza). they are returned from 50+ days of being held hostage - a harrowing, traumatizing ordeal, obviously - but they've returned in good form, flying in the face of (and frankly upstaging) every piece of israeli, american, and western propaganda churned out.

Israel detains hundreds of children every day without question. They take children to prison and torture them.

There is no ceasfire. Every day Israel detains many times more than it releases.

Israel is a terrorist organization established under the name of the state.

in light of a four day ceasefire in Gaza being agreed upon, i am once again asking you all not to lose sight of the big picture. Biden and the Israeli Government are trying to frame this as a major democratic victory and as a favor respectively. they have no intention of a total ceasefire. they have no intention of stopping their genocide. remember - a ceasefire is the very first step. it’s not even the bare minimum.

the absolute bare minimum in this situation is 1) a complete ceasefire and immediate humanitarian aid in Gaza, 2) complete halt of all military foreign aid to the Israeli government, 3) the Israeli government being prosecuted for its war crimes in the International Criminal Court, and 4) land back and reparations for the Palestinian people. free Palestine means free Palestine, not just temporarily stop carpet bombing Palestine.

a temporary ceasefire is something, but it’s not even close to the end goal. we cannot let up pressure when things seem to be looking up. keep protesting, boycotting, spreading awareness, contacting politicians, etcetera. keep your eyes on Gaza. free Palestine.

It's so sad that I am hearing of Bosnian genocide survivors talk about how they are triggered by the genocide denial happening around gaza. That the rhetoric that is being thrown around in the media and the rationalization for killing thousands and the talk of "let's be careful of what we call genocide. Let's wait before we call it that" is repetitive of what they were hearing when they were living through it

And Holocaust survivors who were protesting in DC and feeling the burden of having to come out and protest another genocide being done in their name except the media has completely sidelined them because it does not fit the narrative.

I have no other words except how terrible this is but it feels comforting in a weird way that genocide survivors are standing with Gaza. Who needs the acknowledgement of governments when you have them
