I’m making a ghostbusters comic, and while I’m not posting it yet (not fully ready to post it all, I’d have to make new watermarks and stuff to block my IRL name for privacy, as well as the fact that it’s just not finished)

I love all the Ghostbusters and their friendship so much, and I know Ray and Egon are the most popular pair, but please allow me to indulge and just talk about how much I love Ray and Peter specifically because they're so cute.
Why do they keep standing as close as humanly possible. Shoulders brushing. It's enough of a problem that they OBSCURE WINSTON. BOYS. SAVE ROOM FOR JESUS (WINSTON).

I put the Beetlejuice musical soundtrack in one of my Ghostbusters themed playlists, I think I’m too far gone-
Perhaps I should make a Beetlejuice themed AU..
(The song is dead mom btw, the playlist is based on RGB Peter Venkman. I also keep getting songs about gender dysphoria recommended for this playlist so that’s fun)

Okay so…
Edward had a lot of issues that wasn’t just his anxiety. He hopelessly followed Egon around because he had fallen for him. A couple days before Egon completely left town, Edward had decided to confess after years of being quiet. And it seemed that Egon reciprocated. But when he figured out Egon was planning on leaving, he was pissed. He spilled his guts and Egon was leaving- not the most pleasant of experiences. (although Egon was also trying to leave him so he wouldn’t get hurt, he probably would’ve explained things or left some letter to apologize, I don’t feel like he’s just leave someone who confessed to him just a day prior without some reasoning)
He left with Egon to Summerville after an argument and practically demanding an explanation and calling him out on the fact that leaving is a really bad idea, but because he didn’t know what else to do he just followed along, not just going out of love but to keep him from getting hurt or killed because of how destructive ghost research can be. For a while it was fine, Edward just stuck with him and at least tried to defend him from people who called him crazy. But eventually some other argument happened, right after Egon caught Vinz and was going to catch Zuul. This time Edward didn’t follow behind. Their last words to each other weren’t good ones, said in the heat of an argument they both wish they could’ve took back. Edward left the Dirt Farm. Egon tried to catch Zuul. And we all know how that went. Consumed by the guilt and with nobody else to turn to because they all thought he went nuts, Edward spiraled. He died only three days later, suicide by gunshot. In those three days he called and made several apologies, leaving voicemails or letters to say sorry for leaving them. When Callie and the others come back to the Dirt Farm, Phoebe can’t help but notice there’s a more mournful spirit in the house, forever roaming but too scared to approach Egon out of fear that he hates him, even though it’s not true at all.
Phoebe notices the problem and instantly wants to help solve it before Edward’s ghostly depression turns into anything worse, which could put the whole house and anybody inside at risk. OUCH THAT WAS A LOT OF INFODUMPING BUT UH LORE IG

the most interesting stuff so far is the cause of Edward’s death and Vanessa’s whole bloodline, cause she’s not JUST related to Shandor… she’s got at least one other relative out there that’s not Ilyssa (who would be her grandmother btw)

he originally busted ghosts as a scam, not expecting anything to come out of it/be real
but then he was proven wrong when ghosts actually were real and he starts to become an actual ghostbuster 🙂↕️

Info about the Ocs I made (exactly the same text as my earlier reblog, doing this in case mutuals didn’t see)
Edward Thomas-Lawyer/Secretary, probably needs anxiety meds and therapy. Used to work at the Sedgewick hotel, but after seeing the ghostbusters destroy the whole place he quit and decided to help them instead. One of the only people who stuck with Egon after he “went nuts”, leading to the others thinking he’s gone crazy too. Also he’s dead during the events of afterlife but who cares
Elizabeth Thomas-Edward’s older sister by thee years. A journalist, thankfully way more chill than her brother and has a little more of a stable life- not dead during afterlife and somehow has most of her mental stability, kinda acts as an older mentor type figure to some of the other characters
Vanessa ???-Trevor’s age- Has one of the most confusing bloodlines a person can have- is she cursed? Is she not? Nobody can tell. Related to Ivo Shandor because Ilyssa Selwyn somehow had a child (but it’s unknown with who.. yet) and now she’s not entirely trusted by anyone, leading her to be an outcast. Her fate is in her own hands, she just has to step up and take control of her own destiny before she loses any potential friendships she has for good. Maybe if she does, she can figure out the truth behind her existence. Ruth- Dead 1920s starlet, possibly knew the Spider Witch when she was alive, and for whatever reason completely hates Peter.

I got to season 3.
I'm He's pissed.
In order to cope with changes caused by poor executive decisions, I have to make a ton of self-indulgent headcanons with in-universe weight and reason for them, so here's what happened to Peter between season 2 and 3.
Ghost strangled him and fractured his laryngeal cartilages. Now that he's in recovery, all he could eat were soft foods like apple sauce and soup (the guys brought him baby food one day to poke some fun at him.) He was grumpy all the time because he couldn't even talk to complain about how he couldn't talk, or even about how his neck hurt or his bandage itched. The firehouse had never been quieter or more lacking in one-liners and shitty jokes, and it honestly started getting to the other guys, too. Once or twice, Slimer got him so angry he squawked something out, and it hurt so bad he had to lie down.
When the doctors let him off the hook and he could finally talk again, he cried with relief and fear of change. It took some adjustment.
