CRISTINA AND PRESTONS WEDDINGGG
I don't think I've ever seen a more well written break up wedding.
Up until that point, their relationship devolved into Burke wanting something like moving in together and Cristina giving him what he wants because she loves him even if it's not what she wanted. She was his unseen hand. She, as an intern, wasn't that far from his level of brilliance.
Then he proposes, and she says yes but wants a courthouse wedding with Mer and Derek if Preston wanted him there. But then that becomes what him and his mother wanted. And she does it all for him again. She sacrifices her personal preferences to make him happy. And that's also what bothered C*lin M*rlow. Because she loved Burke enough to do those things for him but not for M*rlow. (I HATE MARLOW HES A CREEP AND WEIRD AND GROSS)
Then the wedding happened. (Mama took my eyebrows) The choker is such obvious symbolism for her becoming trapped in this life she never wanted, never had any desire for. And of course she freaks out, but Meredith comes through. Except Burke realized what he was doing. He realised he was trapping her. She wouldn't be able to do the things she wanted to if she was trapped. So he let her go. He loved her enough to let her go. And that is so heartbreaking, they're the most tragic to me. It was so obvious they loved eachother except they could not give eachother what the other needed.
When she gets back to the apartment and she's like he's gone and Meredith is confused because his things are still there. But his CD collection is gone. His luck scrub cap is gone. His trumpet is gone. Only Cristina would notice that. She knew him well enough to notice that. And the relief in her voice when she said "I'm free" except it was coupled with the pain because even though she got what she wanted, she lost someone she cherished dearly. Oh myngodd guys i can't.

- the bathroom scene was iconic and lowk a power move (wash your hands people and izzie was just fucking judgemental)
-the way she minded her business when she caught Mer and Derek was perfect she's AMAZING
- Her friendship with Addison is so underrated

7. Preston Burke
- HES SO FINEEEEE
- he's only so low bc he left Cristina at the alter
- he loved her enough to leave her and omf GUYS I CANT I LOVE BURKINA
- the way he kissed her in the on call room LIVES RENT FREE IN MY MIND
8. Season 1,2 and partly 3 Izzie Stevens
- "You can call me doctor model but I'm debt free"

- Her storyline with her daughter broke my heart and I wish it wasn't George who was there for her I wish it was Miranda.
- they ruined her character with the homewrecker storyline and now she irritates me

10. fucking O'malley
- the only time I've actually HATED a characters development
- went from a genuine sweet guy to a "nice guy"
- seriously the writers hated George's character you can't tell me otherwise bc WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT.
-loved his episode with Miranda tho he was what she needed while in labour.
- when he got on the bed behind her to help her omf guys HE WAS SO ATTRACTIVE THEN
- then he got the finance playboy haircut and turned into a dick and I've lost all attraction

Meredith isn't included bc I love her character so much I'd need a whole post dedicated to her. Genuinely she's the best representation I've seen of someone struggling with mental health and I relate to her, so I cannot rank her.
I'll forever be upset that the writers took away the cool older sister and dorky younger brother duo that was izzie and George I'm forever grateful we got Alex and Meredith bc they were the brother sister duo we needed

So I've been watching greys anatomy and something I love so dearly is how Alex and sometimes Sloan treated Meredith.
I know Alex is a complete asshole for the majority of seasons 1 and 2 however he always made sure to be there for Meredith. When Meredith slept with George and everyone else got mad at her for some unknown fucking reason Alex was the one who stood up and said hey get the fuck over yourself stop wandering around like a hurt puppy so she doesn't like you get over it. It happens sometimes. I don't understand why George got so fucking butthurt that she started crying during sex. Yes, rejection sucks ass but unfortunately this isn't some fantasy world where you'll hear yes to you ask of someone. I was so shocked Cristina didn't stand up for Meredith and you know I think Addison would have stood up for her because anyone can change their yes to a no at any point during sex. But George didn't get that and oh my God he was such a good character up until that point. I really enjoyed his arc with Bailey he was the best person for that specific time but jeez they ruined his character and turned someone genuinely sweet into a "nice guy"
ANYWAYS ONTO SLOAN.
Why I kind of like Sloan (except for him referring to her as an intern emotionally in season 4 ) Is the specific instance of the bone graft thing on Ava. Meredith had just lost her mother and almost died and came back. Everyone treated her as something fragile who could not be a hard-core surgeon. Yes I do think part of him wanted to win points with Webber for Chief of Surgery. But also, Mark Sloan was never going to get Chief of Surgery. I really like that he gave her something to show everyone that yes she's been through some tough shit lately, but she is still a more than capable surgeon.
I watched the first episode of Greys Anatomy and Meredith is cool and all but why the hell is she the main character and not Christina?
