I don’t remember which “guess the build” video this is from, but at some point Grian gets the prompt “Grian with bubble gum in his hair” only instead of saying Grian it says “Giran”, so Grian decides to build what the prompt says, Giran, which he describes as off brand Grian, so I thought off brand Grian should get some fanart too:
Here he is, in all his glory. I know the final design didn’t have glasses, but Giran gained and then lost them throughout the building process and I felt they should be present too. Still got that bubble gum, though.
happy early birthday to the bestest minecraft series ever
This feels wrong on so many levels… I love it:3
I swapped their color palettes
“you’ve got a friend in me”
I had an idea about a headcannon related to the general theme that grian and mumbo are soulmates and how exactly this could affect their appearance. we all know the waffle-pattern head thing from the 8th season of hc, yeah. I usually saw things related only to this particular moment, so I decided to go differently about the simple fact of friendship.
first of all, yes, the hairstyle. mumbo's hair now is much more noticeably curly than before, some of the strands are separating, which refers to grian's hairstyle obviously.
mumbo has taken the habit of wearing the sleeves of his clothes rolled up, as grian. which also explains why mumbo stopped wearing his suit jacket, or just rarely than before. it become more a “look thing” than just for comfortable work.
grian decided to wear a shirt under his sweater, which began to refer to the mumbo’s formal style. maybe it's even one of mumbo's own shirts that grian “borrowed”.
this is the most minimalistic headcanon, but it warms my heart.
can i politely request grian and wilbur from mcc25? i am still so happy they teamed again :)))
It's interesting how like each of the winners in each iteration of the Life Series can be simplified into caricatures of themselves from the PoV of us the viewers or the deities that I'm not bothered to name but is essential to the lore (cough cough). From each victor and their tragedies forms stories intertwined across participants and other seaons.
Starting with Grian, as the first victor and the organiser of sorts he is like one of isakei tropes but he doesn't get hit by a truck. He is like the playtester or control experiment to see if the games are a success or not, and considering the amount of attention the Life Series garnered during its first season, he was the successful victor pathing for the next to come.
Scott, the winner of Last Life, is the like the poster child of rebellion to the Watcher's perspective. A nuisance that challenges the boundaries of the game but also a player who is still under their influence and can be replaceable in a way. Someone who despite keeping his alliances and promises with his the other participants still wins fairly.
PearlescentMoon on the otherhand is a tragedy in Double Life. With a gimmick that's supposed to pair you with someone compatible and then being rejected by that one someone who was once your teammate would be the first blow to Pearl. But then been surrounded by others who seemingly have their soulmates figured out, it just emphasises the loneliness that you seem to carry. When you finally team again, it's more out of an obligation to survive and conquer over the others. Eventually ending in a dillema where it's only you can win but not both. So essentially Pearl's season was a tragedy of loneliness and isolation that caused by the distrust of others towards her being an omen of death and chaos.
Martyn's arc, compared to Scott was that he was stuck in history. From his time in Dogwarts with Ren influencing his playstyle and his clothing to his time back in Evo, his history just parts Martyn's storyline through Limited Life. Even as he slaughtered the others in the finale in a mindless bloodlust, it was because of his involvment with the Watchers and Listeners that caused him to become the poster-child for the Watchers. A moldable victor for their entertainment.
GTWScar in Secret Life is the misunderstood villian. An antagonisitc force because of the involvement of the Secret Keeper. A playtoy that the uppermanagement used and quickly discarded because of his involvement with Grian. An ever-hopeful force that drags Grian back onto the orbit and away from the Watchers. Yet to him, Grian is the Sun that he captivates him.
Finally Joel or Smallishbeans, he is the uncontrollable and rebellious comedian of sorts that did what Scott couldn't do. He was able to push and persist against the boundaries and didn't fall under the Watcher's influence. He was almost a complete pacifist towards others and his teammate and alliances and only then like the other victors, did he win.

pt.39 lmao 13 more to go of thoeries and headcannions I haven't really watched scotts pov yet so most of my information is like hedacannons and stuff oof unfortunately idk what to write for real life as it kinda being short gives me barely enough information and I havent ven watched cleos pov so even bigger oof
With the shattering of the Canary curse that used to cling to Jimmy throughout the Life Series, a new curse or mantle has emerged known as the "Spider (Black Widow)" that has chosen Grian as its vessel. It's been like that ever since Limited Life, where Grian has consistently being the last one eliminated from his team.
As spiders are commonly known for producing delicate pieces of webbing to capture prey or the unfortunate, it fits Grian and his inherent responsibility over the Life Series. Every teammate of his from the Badboys, Roomies and the Spanners has tread the web of uncertainty and fallen prey to the predator that is Grian. Acting as a false support or friend until the final endgame where Grian conicidently outlives them and directly moves onto a different team to join them (with the exception of Secret Life where his alliance was killed in the finale with him). Seemingly to catch new prey for a larger feast.
Even his latest defensive build of the tower in Wild Life where he dubbed it as "The Spider's Nest" where both his teammates died essentially wraps Grian's arc of being the inheritent of the "Black Widow" curse and catching his teammates from his own doing.

by @/nerdyenby
So one of the most lore-indepth wildcards of Wild Life would be the superpowers that relates past seasons of the Life Series and acknowledges other series (eg. Hermitcraft and Evo) and their personal lore to attribute to each participant's power.
Starting alphabetically,
Bdubs power is essentially all related to time and his ability to manipulate the day cycle expentially. With the clock being his main motif across all Life Series, the ability to slow and speed time according to his will is easily solvable but with the inclusion of the Hermitcraft and Empires crossover event, his ability to speed time according to his sleep schedule becomes another layer deep. Besides the clock being a main symbol for Bdubs, the concept of sleep is another that has essentially been from the beginning of Hermitcraft. Always carrying a bed and sleeping whenever. The Empires crossover Bdubs was framed as a god of sorts of the Sun. Always bright and always there when the Sun remained as its brightest.
Bigb can summon creaking. He creaking. He is like a king or dimplomant to the players who invade their home and they view him as their kin so he has the responsibility and power to summon them.
Ethoslab based of Kakashi from Naruto is by definition a ninja. An escapee or fugitive at best. So with his ability to jump higher boosted by wind charges can be explained by his connection to the shonen series and the inclusion of the mace could be chalked up to typically stories of protagonists gaining resources or inventory to defeat the "Big Bad" or achieve some sort of goal that is to win the Life Series.
GeminiTay or GeminiSlay named by others intimidated by her, has slayed each participant brutally in the Life Series and on Hermitcraft rewarding her the reputation from her immense PvP skills. So with her power of astral projection, it acts retribution for the slayed to talk and apologise or instigate to those dead for her or others benefit.
GoodTimeWithScar is nortorious for being not PG friendly so the inclusion of one of his powers been the ability to ride people, it's self explanatory. Yet as Scar is commonly associated with and as a vex, his other powers of extreme knockback and thorns can be explained by the hostile and aggressivness of the mob.
Grian as essentially the grandmaster or orchestrator of the Life Series would have access to all the powers and mimic but not fully copy the others' powers. Yet because of his power chained by an omnipresent force, he's unable to fully copy the powers but imitate them for only short periods of time.
ImpulseSV and his teleportation powers could derive from his cyber-theme aesthetic for his Hermitcraft Season X base. With most series of fictions based around cyberpunk civilisations, technologies like teleporation and other advanced transportational devices are commonly utilsed. Resulting in Impulse's power of teleportation and the ability to swap the position of another with himself.
Martyn power is boosted hearing cause he's a Listener.
So Lizzie or LDShadowLady's inflicts blindless or a shadow upon the surrounding people in her radius and resulting her in temporary invisibility and blindess to others around her. But from her endless descent into the void in Secret Life, arises Lizzie with trails of the void clinging to grasp the light of the overworld. Causing the void remnants to spread to others and infect them with blindness in all for the hope to spread towards the light from the cold world of the End.
With the ability to fly, PearlescentMoon carries aesthetics relating to Greek mythology in both her powers and external design choices. As one of the Postmasters of Hermitcraft, Pearl is essentially the builder and additional redstone help of the trio for the postoffice and other aesthetic designs. Hermes the herald or messenger of the Olympus gods delievers messages to other celestial dieties and mortals similar to Pearl's jobs as a Postmaster. Other than the similar professions, both Pearl and Hermes wear a petasos which is essentially a wide-brimmed hat that is commoly adorned for shade and for Hermes, additional wings to the sides of the hat. Symbolising their shared ability to fly quickly and efficiently for a purpose.
As RentheDog is commonly interpreted as a dog-hybrid of sorts by the Hermitcraft and Life Series community, his ability to splice and copy the DNA of others to match their appearance could be an aftermath or positive side-effect from his hybrid mutation.
Similar to Ren, Scott has the capability to transform into any mob in sight and similar to Limited Life where he was depicted as a siren as part of the Mean Gills. His ability to shape-shift into any mob regardless if it's passive or aggressive could be similar to his mutliple origins from New Life SMP and Origin SMP and the reflect the changing nature of his powers.
So Joel with essentially triple jump could be hinting his slimely origins of his Shrek skin in the swamp. Where the swamp generally spawns slimes at a higher rate than other slime chunks and slime blocks harvested from the slimes can be used as jump boosts. Resulting in the triple jump.
After just breaking the Canary Curse two seasons ago, SolidarityGaming or Jimmy has the power to turn fully invisible until someone or something damages him. Ever since his debut to the Watchers back in Evo, Jimmy has been under constant surveillance by the Watchers as an object of their amusement. Always failing to reach even the finale and fumbling to keep alive. Yet when he broke the curse and relayed it too another, he was discarded. Seen invisible to the Watchers as he had become an object of boredom by reaching his resolution. So that's where his invisibility comes from.
Tango with his cowardly approach to things, has constantly ran away from situations but with this power, it supercharges his speed allowing him to become part of the fight and conflict instead of running away. And with his ability to frost-walk on ice, it could recall his Season 9's skin back when he was the Dungeon Master in Decked Out II and became an icy persona.
ZombieCleo and resurect dead people as she's a reanimated zombie.

So a week ago we got a little teaser from Martyn about hints for the next Life Series season, around an hour after we got another subtle clue from Cherrifire, a commissioned arist of Martyn and Grian for their thumbnails. Moving onto four days later where in a Phasmo stream with GIGS, Grian althought not explicitly, teased the recording of a certain something. That something most likely being the next installment of the Life Series as he previously stated during the aftermath of the Ender Cup, that the next season was in development. So now four months later, and with the release of that little crumb of information you would think it would be the last. But approximately an hour ago (of the time writing this), Scar drops a bombshell of information as a GIF of traffic lights blinking.
Effectively reinforcing the possibility of the next season arriving extremely soon as traffic lights is a predominant symbol of the Life Series with the three-life system of green, yellow, and red matching with the known pattern of traffic lights. Hence traffiblr also referring to the Life Series.
With the date of the next season of the Life Series been generally confirmed, the twist of this subsequent still remains unknown. But by disecting each post from credible sources (Inthelittlewood, Cherrifire and GoodtimewithScar), it's possible to gain a sliver of understanding about the next gimmick for this upcoming season.
Starting with Martyn's post, his reponse to a question regarding the Life series were a series of rhyming verses otherwise known as a couplet. His reponse goes as:
"Nope. Not a slither, not a slice, not a hint, not a price,
not a right, not a wrong, not a verse, not a song,
not a fork, not a list, not a fog, not a mist,
not a shine, not a spree, not a thing from me"
With lines and words like not a slither, slice, hint, verse, list and not a thing from me commonly used in other media to express a concept that is left unsaid or unexplained to conceal or hide information. Other phrases like not a price, right, wrong, song, fork, fog, mist, shine and not a spree seem unusual and seem only used to act as rhyming words. But since this couplet's rhyming patterns goes like (word) (rhyming word) (word) (rhyming word), words like price, wrong, song, mist and spree can be eliminated only leaving right, fork, fog and shine used for clues.
Words like fog and shine can be connected easily with the concept of revealing something concealed by layers of dense things with the good or "light". Maybe uncovering the lore of the Watcher's to the rest of the participants as the right path taken since the Watcher has a lasting cameo in the previous Life Series. It would be poetic as the fifth installment of the Life Series that the Watchers would return as an antagonist force. The way fork is incoporated into this theory is the mannered and dignified repute it carries where in the eleventh century, it was considered prestigous or vain to use a fork. Similar to the Watchers and the means they present themselves.
Other theories like @strychninesss 's double life 2 utilises the couplet's use of repition and pairs to conlclude the return of the soulmate gimmick with its repeatability and new possibilities with the pairing of new soulmates.
Our second poem arrived from Martyn's accomplice Cherrifire, with her reply to his cryptid poem was to produce another poem herself and that being:
"Oh, well in that case you're not getting a peep, not even a taste of the secrets I keep.
Of course, I could tell you all I know, but it's way more fun to give you a show.
Or perhaps this is all a trick, and Martyn’s just being a— very mean person.
Whatever it may be, you'll just have to wait and see."
With this poem following the rhythmic pattern of (Rhyming) (Rhyming), the couplet mainly focuses on the information Cherri deliberately chooses to withold and the her dilemma to diclose her details to fandom. In the end, she decides to hold the spoilers and express her intrest into the chaos that can produced with limited clues given before the said show begins.
Well the structure and the style of the poem is reminiscient of how the Watchers approach and address the members of Evolution SMP back in 2017. With the Watchers depicted as this all-knowing beings that can see everything and perceive all things, they often speak in this entitled mannerisim due to their privileged abilities. And with the legacy of the Watchers being continued but altered with every iteration or headcannon of them, they have commonly been altered into these beings that revel in the chaos and angst produced by the participants of the Life Series. This message could be a warning to the fans that the Watcher's could play a more major role compared to the Secret Keeper in Secret Life as a tribute to the four seasons and three years of the Life Series.
These statements revealed by Grian, Scar, Martyn and Cherrifire has just almost confirmed the arrival of the season five for the Life Series be very soon. Although there is the possibility Grian could be hyping us up for an entirely different video that collaborates with other mcytbers, evidence piles to point towards the next installment coming hopefully, next week.

All links and references used are in the post and uh special thanks? regards? to @aethbeans and their twitter account that compiled messages from Scar's discord server regarding clues to the upcoming Life Series.
Oh COd I was scrambling to finish writing this one
So new week, new theory about Doc's new poker game and the hermits decided to be used as the monarchs and joker for each type of deck. Innovated from the French-suited playing cards, Doc's poker deck has four suits, diamonds, hearts, clubs and spades, and each suiting having three court cards, King, Queen and Jack. This results in only twelve available spaces considering one hermit takes one court card each and leaves fifteen hermits unable to be represented by the cards. Nethertheless even with the limited representation of the hermits, each cards has its depth and lore.
Starting with the suit of diamond, has Doc representing its King, Gem representing its Queen and Scar representing its Jack. As diamonds is represented as a valuable material considering its bartering and trading value in Hermitcraft, being the main currency for shops, it's reasonable that Doc would be the face of Kings of Diamonds. Gem's reasoning is also obvious due to her talent considering both PVP and her building skills. Finally Scar, being the Jack of Diamonds is poetic due to his bartering (scamming) skills built from his charisma to trade for "diamond" tiered items with common items.
The court of Hearts is a different story considering its representatives are Rendog for the King, Falsesymmetry for the Queen and Bdubs as its Jack. With the symbol of Hearts often depicted as red and hearts in general epitomising the living flesh of a person, Ren as the King is perfect. As RentheKing in Hermitcraft Season Nine and the Red King back in Third Life, Ren deserves the position of King of Hearts. Second to the King of Hearts, is Falsesymmetry, the winner of Season's 10 demise. With hearts also depicting the life and soul of a person, it's also fitting for the winner to recieve the mantle of Queen of Hearts. The final court of Jacks is Bdubs, who in Season Nine of Hermitcraft was the assistant or right-hand man to RentheKing. Resulting in his title of the rank below the King, Jacks of Hearts.
With the court of Spades, majority of its court was already explained by Doc in his previous Hermitcraft 10 episode, (29) with the Jack of Spades being Mumbo, a spoon, Etho being definitively cool and the suit of Spades being objectively cool (in Doc's perspective), and Pearl fitting the role of Queen of Spades. But the reasonings run deeper than this besides Mumbo's spoon reasoning. Take Pearl, the Queen of Spades. Back in Season Nine, she was the Cleaning Lady, taking on jobs of cleaning chestmonsters and other messes with a price. Spades is often linked with the concept of cleaning so it was natural to pick Pearl. The final court card, Kings of Spades, is given to Etho and rightfully so because of his connections to Shade-E-E. Originally Shade-E-E was a "subscription service" and later evolved to a "gardening service" which entailed him using dirt and other blocks to create pixel artworks for the other hermits in saeson seven. And what else is connected to dirt, spades, hence the King of Spades being Ethoslab.
The final suit, Clubs, consist of King of Clubs being Xisumavoid, Queen of Clubs being ZombieCleo and Jack of Clubs being Grian. Although the listed hermits' connections to the suit of Clubs may be vague, there is a connection hidden between the layers of history the deck of cards retains. With majority depictions of a deck of cards using French-suited playing cards, other versions of the standard 52-card deck is found throughout multiple continents with German depications of the Club being an acorn. Acorns also being a symbol of strength and resilience, a trait Xisuma has constantly demonstrated throughout the decade Hermitcraft has been running. Cleo's connections of the suit of Clubs includes her role as an enforcing monarchy, the Queen, with a royal baton otherwise known as a sceptre being a symbol of royalty. Finally, Grian's relation to the Club are the multiple depictions of the suit of Clubs being of a plant. Plants and weeds like the clover and acorns are all edible to a range of bird species, both domestic and wild and with the fandom's collective decision to represent Grian has a human with avian features, it's his connections to birds that create his relationship with the Jack of Clubs.
These twelve court cards all with their representative hermits all have depth and lore leading their portrayal as the monarchs and Jacks of each suit.
---------
So this theory is finally here and I hope it made up for the multiple weeks without theories. Still have to cope with exams but soon I will be free from these shackles.
With Grian's latest episode and the Grumbo crumbs he and Mumbo gave to the community, this weekly theory would entail Grian's current endeavours with Mumbo. Ever since Season 8 of Hermitcraft, Mumbo has kept Grian's soul as a substitute to expell the pig curse that tormented him for multiple episodes. This link between Mumbo and Grian was expressed by a waffle back on both Grian's and Mumbo's head until now in Season 10 where Mumbo's skin has been replaced with an aged facade and the removal of the waffle.
The extraction of the waffle would symbolise the final rejection of sorts and the return of pure Mumbo. But with Grian's latest episode the revelation of Mumbo's skin development is finally realised by both members. With the use of Grian's mace he retrieves Mumbo's head realising that a part of him, treasured and kept safely with a trusted someone is gone.
So with the mace, an item treasured by Grian, he decimates Mumbo to retrieve his head. To finally recover the remaining fragment of his soul lost in the continuous flow of time.

Still trying to get back into the flow of writing weekly.
he holding a smol scar
So this theory is about the snails and what their plans after their laundering escapades at Big Ron. So far, the snails have taken over and vandalized Gem's lighthouse, and began tormenting Scar for multiple weeks, modifying his train, excavating his ore mountain and making a success laundering business and finally moved onto enveloping Tango's airship and claiming it as theirs.
Through their displayed prowess the snails have demonstrated multiple times that they can indefinately change volume, multiply and merge themselves, secrete corrosive substances and overtake and control innaminate objects.
And currently they have taken over Tango's steam punk airship for unknown intensions. Establishing their claim by sprouting long, tendrilous stalks for eyes on the front of the airship so what are they planning with this new development of power?
Previously the snails have stolen deepslate diamonds from Scar's ore mountain and constructed a successful laundering business with a net profit so with Tango's copper farm inside, could they steal the copper and sell the crafted copper items for more, sure. If it was a previous update when the crafting materials for copper items were overpriced.
But another potential reason is spreading the ownership of the snails. Stated before, snails have the capability of multiplying and with the introduction of Gem's snail it's possible for other snails to rain down from heavens and be claimed by another hermit. With the airship aimed at Magic Mountain, (where the most amount of hermits are based at) it's a high possibility where the snails could spread their influence to the Magic Mountain Crew and eventually take over the server through the Shopping District.
It was clear before that the (assistant) Permit Manager didn't mind the snail's business as one of them contributed to the success of them so, with the backup of the Assistant Permit Manager, the snails could infiltrate the hermits and finally dominate the server with the dozens of snails backed by their sides.
here is a grian, I wonder what's he looking at.
sorry for the late theory/headcannnon too
Aight ranting time, can we appreciate how revolutionary Double Life was for the Life Series fandom.
The introduction of the soulbound mechanic introduced another potential method to interact and collaborate with different members of the community. In the previous canon Life Seires, most alliances were built of the members previously collaborating or being close friends (for majority of alliances, and this is not discounting that all the participants of the Life Series weren't already friends), but with the randomized pairing of Double Life, it forced new collaborations and interactions. Resulting in the mechanic transferring into the fandom's version of their Double Life, Woven Life.
Involving dozens of participants from authors, artists and animators such as rusty_courage, cherrifire, xmaruu, kitsuneisi, mudboowl etc.
(Non RPF)
But what stirred up the fandom into an absolute frenzy was the shipping potential of Double Life. We had Box Boys (Ren and BigB), the Homewreckers (Bdubs and Impulse) which were previously a ship in Hermitcraft and the Divorce Quartet (Pearl, Martyn, Scott and Cleo) which were pretty substanial new pairs but don't scale to the sheer amount of popularity the subsequent pairing recieved/s.
We got Scarlet Pearl which is not a ship but a fan favourite persona with her pairing with Tilly.
We got Boat Boys which are Joel and Etho which was a due no one initially expected but blew up to the fascinating dynamic they had.
Then we got Desert Duo again after the escapades of Third Life which produced lore upon lore of angst and tension which further fueled the shipping train for Scarian.
And finally we got the Ranchers, Team Ranchers or Rancher Duo consisting of Tango and Jimmy. Another pair the fandom did not expect but are instantly attached to. The amount of potential and ideas from this duo grew in number from their light-hearted dynamic to the angsty moments in the subsequent sessions was intense. Lore-wise, their pairings were eventually reunited during the Hermits x Empires Crossover in Season 9.
So basically Double Life was big for the Life Series fandom.
So this weekly theory stems from two crucial events in Double Life; when Grian revealed himself to his soulmate and perma-killed his secret soulmate with the same item, a stalactite.
Stalactites (and stalagmites,) accumulate into a conical shape when minerals are dropped onto the floor from ceiling dripings over thousands of years. Stalactites and in definition, stalagmites are a symbol of time and endeavour taken to produce something apprecipated by others.
So with the concept of soulmates and secret soulmates in Double Life, it's poetic that Grian announced himself to Scar with a stalactite and killed his secret soulmate, Big B with a drop from a stalactite.
During Double Life, Grian isolated himself from his soulmate, Scar as an attempt to avoid dangers and risks whilst also cultivating his "secret" relationship with Big B who was currently bonded with Rendog. The first instance of the stalactite being used was Grian after an episode worth of escapades, finally revealing his shared bond with Scar. This specific moments and the ensuing events involving Grian and Scar are basically watered down to Grian attempting to detach himself from Scar as a defensive mechanisim to protect himself from emotional and physical danger, because of the tragic events of Third Life.
Another instance and the most prominent use of the stalactite was Grian's final kill on Rendog and by definition, killing Big B. Severing his ties (his "secret" relationship) with Big B. Breaking the intricate bond cultivated throughout the sessions with a weapon fabricated over centuries. So that's the importance of the stalactite in Double Life.
So this theory is basically how Real Life is Third Life created by the Watchers as a punishment for Grian and his group of friends or the other contestants.
After the success of the previous Life Series games that provived enough pain, anguish and drama to satisfy the Watchers, they decided to create a rendition of Third Life to torture Grian once again as afterall by lore standards, it was Grian who first created Third Life.
The twist the Watchers decided to implace onto Real Life where to incoporate compeititors such as Pearl who had a persona who would be easily influenced by bloodlust and dispose of the competitors that they had deemed too weak or ineffecient. This was all done in an attempt to replicate the feeling of torture and anguish at Grian and the other original contestants during Third Life.
But this ultimately failed as Real Life ended quickly through the combined efforts of the contestants crowning Cleo as the new victor. Completing the sextet of winners all linked together through their soul-link bonds. And having the Watchers fail in their endeavour to replecate Third Life as another death game punishment.
So after the events of Evolution SMP, the Watchers as an organisation were and are still perceived as an evil presence that hurt and kidnapped the players of the Life Series. Starting with the indoctrination of Grian into the Watchers at the end of his POV for Evo SMP.
But my theory is that the Watchers aren't inherently evil but just an ethereal presence that interfered too much with the lives of the players. Their actions such as punishing Grian and the other members for thier mischevious deeds during the earlier events of Evo and, indoctrinating Grian into becoming a member of the Watchers could be percieved as evil(and is commonly percieved as evil). But what if their actions were just to help them expand their presence and keep the players they were meant to "watch" in check.
And so because of their actions, they interfered too much resulting in a domino effect of the players discovering and exploring their presence developing in the Watchers being antagonised.
But this also dominoes to effect the Listeners seperate godly beings who deciede to exploit the situation and act as the "good" force by rescuing Martyn from the Watchers' interference and promoting him to be the like a frontman for the Listeners to display their good deeds. Further promoting the idea that the Watchers are evil and the Listeners are the good forces in the world of Evo and further.
Hiding the fact that these etheral beings are neither good or evil or, can be defined by words of mortals because of their actions taken during their lifetime. Their actions that can be loosely described as good or evil depends on the players or others viewing them and with their almost infinite life-span time streches rendering definte adjectives useless.
------
pain this took 5hrs writers block be tought D:
So the members who currently interact and talk with Grian from the members of Evolution SMP include Jimmy (Solidarity Gaming), Martyn (InTheLittleWood), BigB (bigbst4) and Pearl (PearlescentMoon). And these listed people (their online personas ofc) all have connections and links to the lore of the Life Series and more specifically the Watchers who also originated from the Evo Smp who then migrated to the Life Series (Secret Life).
My theory is that through their efforts of the attempted retrival of Grian and restorement of Evo after the Ender Dragon fight, the Watchers cursed them with their curses revealing or unearthing themselves during the Life Series.
These curses include :
Jimmy - The Canary Curse, (a curse set into a player's code to remind them of the tradegy they bring and the warnings they provide)
Martyn and Pearl - Insanity (a curse brought upon those who protected the weak idk)
BigB - A Tragedy Upon Those Around Them (the curse for the one who cared too much)
A note for Martyn is that his insanity only occurs momentairily and in bursts when compared to Pearl because of his connections to the Listeners who rescued him during the stage when the curse was becoming permanent in the code. Only altering the curse to happen in weaker bursts and sporadically.
Adding into headcannony ideas, the curses established cant be removed either manually from an admin or a defective Watcher. This is because the curse or the code was established so long ago thats its been incorporated and permanetly embodied in the player's code.
So ye the curses of Evo on the remaining members. :D
TW: Murder, Suicide, Influenced killing
So bloodlust in the Life Series is quite common and wellknown with the premise basically being that red-lives are splashed with this effect of a murderous rage to murder those around them. Regardless of their allies or opponments/rivals.
My headcannon or idea is that the only moment when Grian was enveloped or persuaded by bloodlust was during the final fight in 3rd Life. From the POV of Scar during the events of 3rd Life, it's inferred that bloodlust are more instinctual and a force of encourgement and the "kills" Grian committed, were more of an assistance and allyship to Scar.
Going more headcannon-omy, Grian's final fight against Scar had him receive an altered bloodlust as a final gift from the Watchers during that Life game. This kinda of bloodlust that would have Grian have tunnel vision onto escaping no matter how the deed is executed. In turn, killing his partner or ally, Scar, in his rampage for freedom but would end up trapping him. Until he ended his life to end his torment but also restart the cycle of the Life Games.
So basically Grian's only instance of bloodlust was during the final duel in 3rd Life against Scar where it was placed upon him by the Watchers as a final gift or punishment. That would result in him killing his ally.
:P that all for now.
Not sure if this theory or headcannon about secret life already exists but here it is.
Since the Taskmaster is a varient or a job set by the high council of Watchers to a Watch as a job, they are conscious and give deliberate tasks to the competitors. These tasks were chosen to either play with the competitors' mind, alliances, etc which would inturn benefit or impact them.
So with this in mind, the tasks given to scar which forced him to play an antangonistic role in the games were a punishment intended for Grian for his "disobedience" against the Watchers. Through Third Life and the following Life Games, it was shown to the Watchers that Grian deeply cared for Scar. Doing what he thought was best for him by either pushing him away to protect him. And through Scar's villanous tasks, they (the Watchers,) intended to hurt Grian through Scar as said punishment.
HEADCANNON + BRAINROT IDEA
I've been rewatching GTWScar's POV of the Mycelium War and in one of the episodes he does this aspiring speech to the newly recruited HEP about how the myclelium has been infecting the minds spreading the mycelium.
So, the brainrot/au type idea is that the members in the Mycelium Resistance were forceabley taken under control by the hivemind that being Grian who would be controlled by a larger hivemind-parasite thingy. They were swayed by the idea of joining the Mycelium Resistance through diamonds but although Mumbo was at first persuaded to join, he eventaully broke through the control and went to Mayor Scar to stop the Resistance.
Ok but in all seriousness its so ADORABLE that they sleep in eachoter's beds on the different smps like i love the fanart that's spawned with the bamboozlers but desert duo still being there and now i want fanart of this too like its so CUTEE AAAAAHHHHHH
