Oh Grian you little chaos gremlin, you’re so goofy. Grian is my og Hermitcraft lad, I remember watching him way back before Evo even. Got all my building strats from him lmao.

I would’ve done the hair in a lighter colour but this is the only brown I have and my orange and yellow are highlighter coloured lol. I also added the little marks on the sweater to make it look knit and it turned out even better than I’d hoped! :D

If you see little scribbles at the top, no you don’t.

I have been staring at this, mouth open, just gaping in awe, for at least 5 minutes now and I plan to do so for the next hour. Do not contact me in that time. I am feral.

Scar: oblivious to the fact that they’re even moving. He’s in his own world.

I totally agree with this. It’s okay for us to be excited that friends finally get to meet, that they look at each other fondly because they genuinely enjoy each others company, that they look so happy to be around each other.

But all of this can be enjoyed under a platonic viewpoint. They are good friends. They’ve said it themselves. Leave the real people to be good friends. Be happy for their friendship and that they get to meet. Be squealy over them finally getting to interact in person.

Just don’t force romance on real people. They’ve never spoken out about it, but if the internet learned anything from Jacksepticeye, Markiplier, and their fanship, Septiplier, it’s that we should leave the romance out of how we see them as people.

Ship the characters, not the people.

Can I be honest with you guys for a sec? I feel like this needs to be said. This is coming from someone currently in the middle of writing a 17-chapter, 50k+ word Scarian fanfic, so keep that in mind. The way some of you act around Desert Duo is genuinely just… weird to me. It really hit me during the charity streams. And to clarify, when I say Desert Duo, I’m not talking about their characters—because then I’d be a total hypocrite. I mean the real people.

The way people ship-post about Grian and Scar themselves using clips from livestreams is just super off-putting. They’re close friends, not a couple. Grian is literally married. Seeing the chat constantly flooded with stuff like “omg scarian” or “the way he looked at him”—it’s just… weird, man.

Sorry if this comes off as harsh, but I really think this kind of stuff belongs in fanfics and fanart, not in real-life clips. It crosses a line, and yeah, I know I’ve said that in like five different ways now, but I really need you guys to understand how off it feels. And I get that someone’s gonna say, “Well, they don’t care,” and maybe that’s true. But still—can we not just acknowledge that blurring the lines between the real people and their characters for the sake of shipping is kinda weird?

Like, I clearly enjoy scarian fan content, but this… god, man…

don't forget that pearl remembers the vindication of finally having a friend, and one that will make the ultimate sacrifice for you. of thinking everything was lost, of being the witch to scar's wicked, of resigning yourself to fight for blood until you are truly alone. the welcoming arms into victory that finally healed her aching heart. not to have to scratch and claw your way to the gates but to be invited in.

she saw herself in him and it drove her to make a sacrifice, and he saw himself in her and it drove him to stop her.

i haven't watched pearl's episode yet. but there's something to be said about the fact that she knew scar well enough to know that, when it was the two of them, he would have too much pride to accept a sacrifice.

she doesn't want to win, and she tells him at first before she quietly tucks that secret back into its shell after scar's indignant reaction to her first attempt at self-sacrifice. she lets scar forget about it as they kill gem, and then as scar kills pearl. at no point does she try to say here, let me give this to you. she knows scar, but she also knows the pain of an ending like that.

but she misses a few swings, doesn't she? her legs don't move as quickly to duck away from his arrows. and isn't that familiar? isn't that something like a cactus ring, with two unrelenting fists and two half-hearted ones: a fight with two unwilling participants, a fight that was over before it ever really began at the insistence of one of its patrons

pearl is all too familiar with the sting of sacrifice, but then on the other side of things... scar knows all too well the tragedy of gifted victory, doesn't he?

thinking about grian's 'there's a way we can still be friends' in last life. he didn't turn on the mounders - he wanted to stay friends.

Gah the way Mumbo was so distrustful of Yellows for having abilities they could use against Greens, the way Mumbo went after the Mounders (his friends) when he turned Red, the way they tried to talk him down and almost convinced him they could still be a team...

Because that's how it was in Last Life. In Last Life, once you were Red you're friends were gone. That was it. You couldn't ally anymore.

And Mumbo never got past that, he never got to see an alternative (until the small glimpse he got with the Mounders, before the Warden got him)

just feel the need to revisit this after session 6...

Season 10 I'm watching Gem, Grian, Mumbo, Impulse, Joel, Etho, Skizz, Tango, Scar, Pearl

I'm also going to catch myself up on Xisuma, IJevin, Iskall, and maybe a few others, I haven't decided yet. This will be my first season watching more that Mumbo, Grian, and Pearl's POVs and I am loving every minute of it! I missed out on the sense of a true family I feel in past seasons. I love the friendships here and the communities for the other hermits it's so nice here 🥺😊
