A rough sketch of a young Lilith.
More natural X-Key. Softer colors.
Jonathan’s brother, Jason, did the keyframes for this quick cut of X-Key on her bike. Then it was passed to me for tweening.
X-Key jumping down, way down it appears.
Jonathan did the keyframes and I tweened it.
Some more pencil sketches by Jonathan.
Ok I was trying to upload a gif of some vfx I applied to this image Jonathan drew of X-Key in her stealth camo but the gif seems to show up as a still image so until I figure this out I’ll just post the still image.
Edit: Ok it looks like I got it going so hopefuly you can see.
I can’t believe we never shared this one on tumblr! I’m thinking about making a gif showing each layer but I’m not sure...
This here’s a rough sketch of Lilith, a bounty hunter in X-Key.
Here’s a preview of the next page of our webcomic ,Rebellion, chapter 3, which will be up later tonight I believe. We’ve got plenty more coming so be sure to check out highoctanerevolution.com to see what X-Key is up to. And remember, it’s free so no worries!
(Just to clarify, the series as a whole is called X-Key and these couple of chapters are called “Rebellion”)
It actually snowed today, it almost seems weird =)
X-Key with a natural look.
Quick little doodles by Jonathan.
Huh? X-Key at 8 fps.
Damn scan lines! Also, here are some backgrounds Jonathan sketched out a while ago.
Posting a little late today since we’re working on some pages for the webcomic. (check it out at highoctanerevolution.com) Here are some old thumbnails Jonathan did of X-Key kicking with red pencil.
Jonathan posted this sketch to the instagram a few days ago so here are a couple of the in progress versions.

Chibi X-Key and Lilith!
This is line art from a short clip we did in 2014. Two bandits rushing X-Key. I don’t remember why the one guy’s arm disappears like that but I know we fixed it in the final version =)
Seems you guys like these process images so here a set from a pic we posted on instagram a few days ago. Hope you all are having a good new year so far!
Just posted this to instagram so here’s a couple of images showing some of the different steps in digital rendering.
An element of a new illustration. X-Key without hair color, make-up. Her hair and eyes are naturally two different colors.
X-Key does a long jump! Rough animation done in flipbook.
Lilith in red.
Bang! This is an old drawing of X-Key inked with micron and finished in photoshop.
X-Key with copic markers. Great but expensive :)
Check out this AMAZING fan art of X-Key by Jordan Peoples! This is so cool and we’re so flattered! You can check out his instagram at https://instagram.com/z3_art/ and http://z3art.squarespace.com/ for his website.
Sharing another rough animation clip. X-Key doing a jump kick.
X-Key in the field. The original drawing was made with pencils and ink then colored in Adobe Photoshop with a Wacom Cintiq drawing tablet.
Here is a render of X-Key from a new piece of artwork for highoctanerevolution.com
