Speaking of season one moments. We all agree In-ho sent Gi-hun flowers, right? We agree this was him:
Because at this point, Oh-il-nam is out of it. He’s barely lucid. In-ho is probably the one running surveillance on Gi-hun and snitching on him.
Naturally, Oh Il-nam would say, “I want to see Gi-hun before I pass.”
But this. In-ho where in the instructions did Il-nam tell you to send him flowers? You could have done the normal thing and left it at his door like last time. But check the difference.
Contestants get a soggy piece of paper wedged in their doorframe. Gi-hun gets a hand-delivered card with a pink-ribboned envelope and a bouquet.
Also the pink ribbon resembles the coffins but also the box In-ho kept the card in at his old apartment. So on one hand it’s traumatizing to Gi-him but can also be seen as a romantic gesture. “We’re the same, you and I.”
In-ho, you are a menace.

okay but there was a 3 year gap before gi-hun rejoined the game. the game happens annually as far as we know, which means after gi-hun won, there were player 456s that weren’t him.
imagine in-ho paying extra attention and interest to those players (456s that aren’t gi-hun) and not being able to stop himself from thinking about gi-hun.
imagine in-ho personally choosing and making sure the 456 of each year resembles gi-hun in some way.
or… imagine in-ho forbidding any player to have the number, because 456 is now reserved only for gi-hun.

“if I can’t have you then no one can” trope but instead of two characters who are (or were) outright lovers, it’s two characters who are each other’s archenemies and the feelings are mutual in the sense that they both have these extremely unhealthy obsession which they hold towards each other, and so they become possessive and jealous if the other ever touches someone else, be it lover or another enemy that isn’t them. be it by fucking someone else or fighting someone else that isn’t them.
“if I can’t have you then no one can” trope where you and I are enemies, but you are mine and mine alone and I am yours and yours alone. I am the only one who can touch you and you are the only one who can touch me. I’m the only one who can hurt you and you’re the only one who can hurt me. you have me. and if I can’t have you then I’ll burn the world to the ground so that no one else can have you either.

Ok but The Bride Of The Frontman would make such a good dark romance. I imagine the marriage being forced on Gi-hun’s part (probably a “marry me and I’ll spare your teammates” situation)
He has Gi-hun wear a white Frontman uniform identical to his own, except instead of a hood, his hair is covered with a veil.
Most of the staff have no idea who this man in white is. Especially since he doesn’t do much besides follow their boss around and get his ass grabbed.

gihun in a veil yes!! and omg yes that premise 🙏 gihun sacrificing himself in order to save his friends, marrying a man he hates so they will be set free
the workers all referring to him as the bride bc they've never seen his face, since the mask is always obscuring it. they know he's a man, that's semi obvious from his build (and bc the front man uses male pronouns).... and he walks around like a ghost, haunting the island and the games, never talking but always watching, so the workers get lowkey freaked out when they see him at the front man's left side.
also, omg i need to know if someone sees the vision... this but in white, the belt as well and it isn't a full dress to the bottom, the skirts part at the middle and he is wearing white pants underneath....
and then @unintelligiblezombienoises's fantastic outfit here is for when they are getting nasty in the bedroom and no one else can see gihun like that bc inho is possessive 😌
more pre-2020 au. in-ho doesn't even have a car, so this agonizing over his soul's desire to have gi-hun drive him around is moot anyway
Okay hear me out…
daemon/soulmate au where Gi-hun and In-ho have animals that represent their soulmates except instead of anything normal,
Gi-hun’s is a goldfish and In-ho’s is a squid.
And Gi-hun has to carry the goldfish around in his pocket because it has no water to swim in.
And In-ho’s squid keeps trying to wrap its legs around Gi-hun 24/7.
