Hii!I've just got a new phone and FINALLY want to start doing digital art and your art looks SO good and so crisp (strange word to use but it feels right) do you use procreate for your art or do you use something different?
Thank you so much!
I don't use procreate unfortunately so if you was hoping for some tips for that you might need to look elsewhere π
I use a free app called Ibispaintx which is available on androids but I'm not sure about other phones/tablets.
I don't use any stylus either, I just draw on my phone with my fingers π
Ibispaintx is just what I'm used to and it works well for my art! You can adjust your canvas size to suit your needs and just be careful about the dpi, I generally go for 350 dpi for a clearer picture and to ensure my art prints don't become fuzzy while printing from small A6 to bigger A3 which I've tested~
Generally the only issues I've found with Ibispaintx is I use a lot of layers for my art so if I'm drawing something more complex or full bodies the app does lag a bit, hence why I don't do complicated backgrounds or full body drawings much. And the text tool is pretty basic with the inability to curve the text but there is a lot of fun font options!
Also you can't really back up your artworks and as someone who draws on their phone and doesn't have a cloud storage I highly suggest getting into the habit of backing stuff up! I usually email them to myself to ensure everything is safe π
If people are interested I might share what pens and stuff I generally use or maybe do a tutorial some day? But for now I hope this answers your question! πππ

Tried out the lite version of the synthv voicebank for the kotonoha sisters. I love them. Good voicebank and free to use, too! SynthV is amazing and I also love AHS. And Pokemon. Which is why this picture happened:
It has been a year an a half since I began painting digitally. Before I only worked with traditional media, mainly oil and watercolor, but between med school and moving to another city for studying, traditional painting became a little impractical. The first picture is my first finished digital painting (done on IbisPaint, on a stylus-less samsung tablet) and the second one is one of the paintings I am more proud of ( on infinite painter, on a samsung tablet with s-pen).
I do miss painting with traditional media but shifting to digital allowed me to grow a lot and keep painting in the scraps of time, which is GREAT. I also improved a lot beacuse I felt freer to experiment without the fear of ruining a piece forerver ( God bless the undo button, my saint and patron).
In case you are wondering, the first picture represents Sunspear, the seat of house Martell. I kinda love the concept and as soon as I have the time I wil probably paint in again. The second one, of course, is Carcosa from "The King in Yellow", reimagined for my "Tales of the Dreamer" project.
