I'm working on a new comic called "The Deviant Crew"... Stay tuned!!!

The last inktober drawing i ended up doing for this season ๐ฅถ
For the entirety of this one the pen was officially out of ink. I made do with just using it as a brush pen w my india ink.
Although, that's definitely the main reason the challenge died for me. Not having the convenience of just whipping out the pen whenever I felt like it got rid of pretty much all instances where I would typically work on these drawings, especially when art was slowly becoming something I wasn't able to prioritize nearly as much cos school ๐ฅฒ
Not to mention it was really annoying,, it's just not the same as the ink flowing from within the pen ๐ฉ

Worked on this one at the same time as the rest of the batch I completed on oct 19, but didn't complete it until the day after because the brush pen I was using was running out of ink!
I tried refilling it with the india ink I had, but it didn't work. The pen definitely uses some special kind of ink to let it flow through w/o clogging.
Anyways, I ended up just dipping my pen in the ink and using it as a brush. It worked, it just wasn't the same experience :(
This drawing was fun. The unicorn ended up pretty well. Think I messed up on its body's form, though.

I really like this one. Fun to do and turned out well.
Locked in when I was inking (the 'sketch' was essentially just me drybrushing) (this goes for all of these inktober drawings tho) cos I was scared.

Hey hey hey the pose here is very similar to day four's pose, but just ignore that ๐
Got the effect I intended. This a good example of how enjoyable using that brush pen was for this inktober. Had to strategically use the different ink saturation levels to get different effects when drawing. It was fun

In favour of keeping the actual creation date in chronological order, the prompt days are now out of order ๐ค ๐๐(I'm keeping it as consistent as I can, just that day 14 is gonna be out of place >_<)
This one turned out way bettwe than I thought it would. It's not great, I just had very very very low expectations for it.

I like this one. Think it turned out cute. Only thing I wish I did better was keep the frog and star on the left from touching, but I knew that that was a mistake when it was happening. Oh well :<
Continuation of my catching up on lost days.

Really didn't like this prompt, it just didn't speak to me in any way, and because of that (plus school in general :p) I lose my streak/drive to do it everyday.
Once again, I started the drawing, hated it, but then returned to it later and it became o.k.

This prompt somehow unlocked all my memories of being obsessed with jackalopes every halloween.
Like how the fur texture ended up ๐

Another one that I barely got in/almost forgot to do day-of.
Arm's a bit weird, but I like how the hand turned out. If I could go back, I would make sure the clover has a clear silhouette and doesn't overlap with the hair.

This was me hella trolling ngl.
I didn't have any ideas for this prompt and I also just wanted to get this in before the day ended so i whipped this stupid thing up in a min

I actually finished this one on oct 8 (i almost forgot about it). I did forget to send it in the discord until the next morning, though xd
I have problems with the front wing, but considering I just jumped into the drawing w no preamble it's fiiiiiiine

Didn't want to do another night sky one since it'd be too close to the first day's drawing, so I did a character instead. Took inspiration of the characters some people made for the galaxy prompt
Made a tiny thumbnail for this one, too

Used references for the open snake mouth, but just jumped straight into the final drawing wo practicing beforehand.
Ofc I had to do the whole snake slithering about a skull its iconic๐ฃ๏ธ๐ฃ๏ธ

Still didn't do a sketch for this one (which was scary cos it's a person), but I did do a little thumbnail sketch on another page so that I would have a clear idea of what pose I wanted. I do think that the sketch's pose is more dynamic, but I like the final piece.

Initially wanted to do a full garden, but I was a bit tired of doing full backgrounds so i settled for a tomato plant
Pretty simple, I like the different textures I can get with this one brush. Sometimes reminds me of the technique used in chinese paintings to draw bamboo/trees

Couldn't really think of something for 'abundance', so i did a bunch of little guys in a forest.
I was really unhappy with it in the beginning (second pic), but I decided to keep going because why not. I'm glad I did because, while I still have problems with the final piece, i like it a lot better than i would if i'd left it unfinished.

Here's the beginning of my inktober escapades. All of the prompts are from my uni's art club. I was planning on using both this prompt list and the official one (for certain prompts where I need more to get my brain going), but the official prompt list is kinda ass this year.
Challenging myself to only use my one brush pen that i've never used before (along with no sketching beforehand) for all the drawings
This one was pretty fast, but then the stars were really annoying and took a decent amt of time. I like how they turned out, though.
Gonna post them all separately because I have things to say about each separate one ๐๐

Me and my friend jokingly made a backstory for this guy. He's in civil eng and he's suffering

Cormorants land funny on water, so I painted it. Was a cute little painting, and ink is always fun to work with. Also nice to paint the landscape around you โค๏ธ
Was me trying out the german expressionism style i'd used for the bottom bird of my eagle painting because I'd really enjoyed it.
The stars were rlly annoying and tedious. So were the wings

Just a little watercolour painting. I remember I was trying to get into tiktok because I'd seen that artists could get more traction there, so I made of one this painting's process. Don't got it anymore ๐ข
