Mothman is a cryptid first reported in 1966 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The town holds an annual Mothman Festival, an event held every third weekend in September.

The Dover Demon is a cryptid first reported in 1977 in Dover, Massachusetts. The cryptid has made appearances in various comic books, such as Proof and The Prehapanauts.
WENDIGO

The Wendigo is a cryptid reported to live around the East Coast forests of Canada, the Great Plains region of the USA, and the Great Lakes region of the USA and Canada. The creature is created when a human resorts to cannibalism, transforming them into the never satiated cryptid.
JACKALOPE

The Jackalope is a cryptid first reported in 1829 in Douglas, Wyoming. A group of Jackalopes are called a flaggerdoot.
UNICORN
Day 26: Ego

The Unicorn is a cryptid reported to live across Europe, Africa, and Asia. This creature is the national animal of Scotland.
POPE LICK MONSTER
Day 25: Tempting

The Pope Lick Monster is a cryptid reported to live beneath the Pope Lick Train Trestle in Louisville, Kentucky. Some accounts state that the creature uses hypnosis to lure its victims onto the trestle.
Note: A common misconception is that the Pope Lick Trestle is abandoned. In actuality, it is connected to one of Louisville’s most used railways and as many as 25 heavy freight trains cross it daily. Walking along this trestle puts you at risk of either getting hit by a train or falling off its 90-foot drop. I don’t love being super serious but this trestle has claimed over a dozen lives so I feel this needs to be said: DO NOT GO SEEKING THE POPE LICK MONSTER, IT WILL PUT YOU IN SERIOUS DANGER.

The Jersey Devil is a cryptid said to have been born in 1735 in Pine Barrens, New Jersey. The cryptid has been the namesake for two hockey teams, the “Jersey Devils” and the “New Jersey Devils.”

The Woodbooger is a cryptid first reported to live in Norton, Virginia. The cryptid is often rumored to carry off young children like the boogy man.

Day 22: Heist

The Hidebehind is a cryptid first reported in 1939 in the woods of the United States. There is no true physical description of the cryptid as no one has actually seen the creature and lived to tell the tale.
EL CHUPACABRA
Day 21: Bad Dog

El Chupacabra is a cryptid first reported in 1995 in Puerto Rico. Despite their name translating to “goat-sucker,” the cryptid is known to feast on all types of farm animals.
SKIN-WALKER
Day 20: Bluff

This is a cryptid reported to live in the United States and seems to originate in Navajo culture. Many are reluctant to discuss this creature as it’s believed that even mentioning it’s name will draw it towards you.
MOSSMAN
Day 19: Ponytail

The Mossman is a cryptid first reported in 1978 in the coastal city of Boca Raton, Florida, near the Everglades. The creature is known to come out while the weather is murky and foggy.
LIZARD PEOPLE

Lizard People are cryptids first referenced in 1929 in Robert E. Howard’s story, “The Shadow Kingdom.” Their image has been linked to a multitude of conspiracy theories concerning politics, pop culture, and more.
FIJI MERMAID
Day 17: Salty

The Fiji Mermaid is a cryptid said to live near the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific. This cryptid was popularized by P.T. Barnum in his original Barnum’s American Museum.
