Chapter 12 is up! One reason for the long delay - moving all my worldly possessions from one location to another. Another reason for the long delay - the words coming out of my fingertips mutinied, would not do what I wanted, and had to be negotiated with in order to reach a mutually acceptable solution.

I have a new rule which is that before I post a chapter, the next chapter needs to have its shitty first draft at least 80% done. Maybe this means I'll be able to stick to a schedule :)

Lol I'm no good at writing summaries. I am back after a long hiatus! I fully thought I could keep a schedule writing this while dealing with some big life and work changes, but I was wrong! However, things have stabilized for me and now I'm writing again. I can't promise regular updates - but I do have most of chapter 11 written and chapter 12 outlined. Happy to be back and telling this story.

To everyone who’s read Eye of the Typhoon - I haven’t updated in a while. A few big changes in my personal life happened at once and I haven’t been able to do much more than lurk the past several months. Things are getting better though and I am planning to release more chapters when I’m able. In the meantime, thank you very much for reading, commenting, and supporting the story! After a brief hiatus due to Covid I am back at it! Every chapter I put out is a humble reminder of the amount of work and thought it takes to put a story to words. It makes me even more grateful for the writers I admire!

Chapter 7 is up! Summary: Kaede shows Kagome where to go where she WON'T get attacked by demons. Inuyasha does some errands for Totosai and finds something rather interesting.
I’d like to thank my writers block and upcoming professional examinations for making this a particularly difficult chapter to get out. Next chapter is gonna be a turning point :)

I took a bit of an unplanned hiatus while I visited family and family visited me. I don’t know why I thought it would be easy to write while seeing people every day. Actually, I don’t know why I ever thought it would be easy to write an adventure romance scifi with world-building. I have felt very humbled by the experience of starting this story. Writing a story is so much harder than imagining it in your head. I have so much respect for all the fic writers out there. I bow to you! 🙇
Summary: Kagome is determined to get used to the world outside the Barrier. Inuyasha is not as determined to help her.

Ok so I got a what if
I want to do a crossover between demon slayer and Inuyasha you know. But I don’t know what to do. I want it to revolve around Inuyasha himself because most of the stories I found are usually about Kagome and readers so if anyone has an idea to incorporate this character into a crossover tell me.

I think a lot about how well-liked Kagome must be at school. Japan doesn't like to acknowledge it to ever change it but the schools there have a massive bullying problem. If you ever don't fit the norm, odds are it shows at school. And simply GOING to school is a big deal, so honestly realistically Kagome would be relentlessly bullied for being a home hermit 99% of the time. So it really speaks to her character that she's got nothing but supportive friends and teachers.

Ouran High School Host Club is a huge favourite and will possibly be the most glorious romantic comedy I have ever witnessed (Love is War is pretty up there too omiword)
Ghost Stories Eng Dub is hands down the best comedy I've watched and I hurt myself laughing so much you know when your jaw gets all painful and tight from consistent laughing yeah anyways
Chainsaw Man is *chef's kiss* and I seriously recommend reading the manga too *cries in happy trauma*
