Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon) Part 97

(With Deity)

Deity paced around her bedroom. It had been 2 days since Vinny went missing and safe to say everyone was worried out of their minds. Shancais’ reaction to coming back from patrol and finding out he was missing was as expected, he was worried and immediately offered to go back and see if the cameraman was in the kingdom.

Willows’ reaction however was more than she anticipated, “He’s what?!”. Those words rung in Deitys’ head, they were all worried. She hated this. She wanted him to be safe. Enji didn’t seem to know where Vinny was. Perhaps Rida did? It’s not like she could ask him, Rida despised her.

She let out an exasperated sigh and she fell to her knees and rested her head on the windowsill. She was tired. But she couldn’t sleep. Not now. Vinnys’ disappearance was all too similar to her husbands’ and it ached her heart.

Perhaps if she sent the ninja back to their city and have them check around there? There was a chance Vinny somehow could’ve accidentally found a way back to Ninjago. It was smart, she could be in contact with them and they could have regular updates with the travellers tea.

Deity was snapped out of her thoughts by a soft knock at her door, “Come in!” She called out tiredly as she stood up and dusted off her clothes. The door opened and her expression softened, Garmadon. She knew the pain of losing a lover like this and could feel the pain his soul bared.

“Is everything alright?” Deity spoke up softly as she rubbed her temples, staring out the window.

“Where could he have gone?” The oni asked, his voice quiet as he shut the door and walked over to her.

“I am…unsure” Deity confessed, “However, there is a chance that the way you all ended up here might’ve sent him back somehow” she added, trying to ease Garmadons’ worries.

“Where would he be? Back in Ninjago? Or could it have possibly sent him to another realm” Garmadon sighed, he was definitely overthinking this.

“Most likely Ninjago…” Deity spoke, “Also I’m able to send you all back there now…it would be better if you all look around your city while we search around here for clues”

“I suppose that would work best” The oni sighed, unable to hide the worry that tainted with his voice.

“We’ll find him…” She spoke, attempting to comfort him.

“I hope” Garmadon whispered, “Would it do well for us all to leave now?”

“If you wish to search longer, it would be more convenient to leave now” Deity answered with a soft smile.

“Very well…I’ll go see my brother” Garmadon spoke, as he gave her a soft nod before leaving. Deity watched him leave and let out a sigh, best she prepare the travellers tea.

Garmadon walked down the halls, expecting to find his brother in the library of the palace. The palace did have some peculiar scrolls. As the oni entered the library he found Wu seated, engrossed in a scroll. “Brother? Is everything alright?” Wu asked as he looked up.

“We can leave the kingdom…Deity said there’s a chance that the way we got here might’ve taken Vinny back to Ninjago” Garmadon explained. “Though we’ll remain in contact with them”

“I suppose it’s best we leave, I’ll go and tell the ninja” Wu answered as he put a scroll back before getting up. The oni nodded at his brother and watched him walk off. Garmadon walked a separate way, not to his room, but to Vinnys’ room. Maybe there was something he could find.

Garmadons’ hands landed on the doorknob, he had checked here before, countless of times, hoping there would be some hint as to where Vinny was. As the oni gently opened the door with a creak, he let out a shaky sigh. The room was dark as expected, the lights were always off.

The oni began looking around, there had to be something, anything! It was the same result as the other 10 visits over the past 2 days. Nothing. All of this was useless. Vinny just vanished into thin air!

Garmadon groaned in annoyance as he rubbed his temples, clenching his fists as he punched the wall, a purple flame forming around him. He let out a sigh as he control himself, anger wasn’t the best at the moment and destroying the palace wouldn’t help either.

He should’ve pressed on with Vinny, maybe, just maybe then would he have some hint as to where he went. But no…this is what he gets for respected peoples’ choices.

The oni rubbed his temples before sitting on the bed and resting his head in his hands. He was gonna find Vinny. He kept telling himself that. He didn’t know what he would do if something bad happened to Vinny. What if he was k-

Garmadon shook his head, he really shouldn’t be thinking about that. Vinny was alive and they were going to find him. He repeated that in his head as he fidgeted with his hands. He was snapped out of his thoughts by clattering from the bathroom.

The onis’ eyes widened as he quietly stood up and walked towards the bathroom, there was a chance it was Vinny. And a chance it being some random stranger. Garmadon hesitantly peeked in and saw a man going through the drawers. He recognised this man as the one the ninja had to fight in the catacombs.

The oni snarled as he slammed the door opened and grabbed the man by the collar, and pinning him to the wall. A wince of pain was heard from the man, he was clearly caught off guard. “A-asshole!” The man hissed out as he rubbed the back of his head.

“What did you do with him?” Garmadon growled, he was fully ready to gut the man right there and then.

“Do with who!?” The man hissed as he tried escaping Garmadons’ grasp.

“Don’t play dumb” The oni snarled, the man paused for a minute trying to think.

“Ohhhh!” The man eventually spoke up, “Your little boyfriend? I don’t have anything to do with him!” He laughed out.

Garmadon growled in annoyance, he was so close to digging his claws into this mans’ throat and tearing out his esophagus. However he didn’t have the chance as he heard someone behind him. He turned his head slightly and saw the prince.

Shancai was shocked when he saw this sight, Enji, his lov- I mean enemy was here and judging by the sight Garmadon was about to kill him. “What’re doing here?” The prince spoke as he walked over to the two, silently coercing the oni to release him.

“I left my chain here” Enji grumbled as he dusted himself off when he was released. “And I swear on my life I have nothing to do with his disappearance!”

“How can we trust you?” Garmadon snarled, resisting the urge to lunge at him. “And how do you two know each other?”

“Enemies” Shancai explained.

“Enemies? I’m hurt Shanni!” Enji sighed out dramatically, causing the prince to roll his eyes.

“Don’t care and he’s right…how can we trust you?” Shancai repeated Garmadons’ question.

“Shanni you know me! I don’t stoop as low as to kidnap someone like that” Enji sighed out.

“Why were you up in Ninjago?” Garmadon asked.

“Pretty obvious, had to get something. Enough questions though! I mean it, I don’t have anything to do with his disappearance but…” Enjis’ words trailed off as he fidgeted with his hair.

“But?” Garmadon snarled clearly wanting an answer.

“I’m not sure about Rida…I’m friends with him, but he won’t tell me everything…” Enji sighed out, receiving a confused look from the oni and a nod from the prince.

“And! This won’t be the last time we’re meeting!” Enji laughed out to Garmadon, before running back into the bedroom and jumping out the window. Garmadon and Shancai followed him and stared out the window. Enji was gone. Shancai knew why of course, enchanted mirror. Garmadon though was really fucking confused.

“Who’s he?” The oni asked the prince.

“Enji…and enemy of the kingdom, insufferable…but not heartless” Shancai answered as he stared out the window, “He speaks the truth…he wouldn’t go out of his way to kidnap someone like that”

“And the other person he mentioned?” Garmadon asked once more.

“Rida, he’s…more likely to do something like that” The prince sighed, “He’s heartless…he enjoys making his prey suffer…”

Garmadon let out an exasperated sigh, “I can deal with them some other time…I need to get back to the city and find Vinny…” he spoke up, receiving a nod from the prince.

“My mother is ready for that and so are your friends” Shancai spoke, the oni nodded in response and the two began making their way. But not before Garmadon took one last glance at the room.

“I do believe we’ll find him…and hardly injured” Shancai spoke as they walked down the halls. “He’s smart, he’ll find a way to get back”

“I know…one the day he disappeared, I saw you two training for a bit” Garmadon began, he wanted to ask about the hallucinations Vinny had before that caused him to attack Shancai. The prince seemed to see where this question was going as he let out a sigh.

“Hallucinations were what we thought at the time…however it was Enji” Shancai spoke, causing Garmadon to look at him in shock, “Enji’s the elemental master of illusion…he used it for the worse, sometimes the better though”

Garmadon remained quiet, on the day where Enji attacked the ninja in the catacombs, Vinny had been the one to suggest that Enjis’ powers were like an illusion. Did Vinny know this man? Was Enji the cause for all these problems?

“We’re here” the prince spoke up, snapping the oni from his thoughts as he entered Deitys’ room. As expect all the ninja were there and so were Willow, who had wanted to say goodbye too and Deity obviously.

“So we’re remaining in contact to find him?” Lloyd spoke to Deity, who nodded in response.

“That’s good…” Nya sighed.

“We’ll find him, I’m sure of it” Deity spoke as he allowed the steam of the travellers tea to float in the air to make a portal.

“Well whoever took him I’m gonna kill them” Willow spoke with a smile as she hugged Nya, they had bonded over making fun of that picture with Shancai and Vinny were sleeping and wearing makeup, more so in a sibling way obviously.

Garmadon remained quiet, he didn’t know what to say. He was worried, angry, and sad…he hated it. He should’ve protected Vinny more. He couldn’t remember anything else that had happened there, he didn’t want to remember. They were back in Ninjago, thankfully in the monastery.

“Home!” Kai sighed out in slight relief as he rushed to his bedroom, Jay and Cole following close behind as they went to their own rooms. Pixal and Zane went their own way though, leaving Lloyd, Wu and Garmadon outside.

“Da-“ Lloyd began but was cut off.

“I’m gonna rest” Garmadon spoke as he just walked off inside, Lloyd wanted to go after him, but Wu held him back.

“He needs to be alone” Wu sighed to his nephew softly, Lloyd nodded softly letting out a sigh.

Garmadon entered his room, not the room that he had when he was giving Vinny space, but the room that they first shared together when they first came here. He felt so much closer to Vinny, he missed him.

The oni crashed onto the bed, letting out an annoyed groan. He wanted to destroy something, but chose against it and laid on the bed for a while before he eventually passed out.

Deity had checked out what the maids told her about, turns out Rushifa, cursed a plant and it was attacking. Nothing a little magic couldn’t fix. Deity was on her way back to her room, she enjoyed talking to Vinny. He was sweet, but just had the worse luck ever.

She was a little surprised when she made it back to her room and saw the door wide open, she cocked her head to the side as she looked it. It was empty. Vinny wasn’t in sight at all. Maybe he went to his room to grab something? Deity checked the bathroom, but there was no one in there either.

She went back out her room and it’s then when she noticed glowing dust on the ground. “Strange” Deity spoke out loud to herself as she began following it. Was Vinny safe? No idea. But she really hoped for the best. The dust led to Vinnys’ room, which was also wide open.

Deity hesitantly entered and noticed the window wide open too, and the dust trailing onto the bed. “Vinny?” She called out, as she knocked on the bathroom door. No answer. She hesitantly opens the bathroom door. Empty.

“Maybe he bumped into one of his friends?” Deity spoke to herself as she exited the room and began searching for the ninja. “Please be alright…” she whispered, trying to reassure herself.

“Deity?” A voice called out, Deity whipped her head around, Nya.

“Hello dear” Deity spoke, giving her a forced smile, before she stopped and turned back to the water ninja.

“You alright?” Nya asked worriedly, noticing Deitys’ tense stature.

“You wouldn’t by any chance have seen Vinny have you?” Deity worriedly asked.

“Not at all” the water ninja replied curiously, “Why is something wrong?” She asked, failing ti hide the worry that forced its way into her voice.

“It’s just that we were talking and I had to do something, now he’s not in my room or his room” Deity answered, “Maybe I’m overthinking it…” she shakily sighed as she rubbed her head.

“Maybe he went to your son? We can go check with the others if he’s with them” Nya spoke, she was trying to reassure Deity and herself.

“That would be nice, thank you dear” Deity sighed out, “And he can’t be with Shancai, he went on patrol, that’s why I was with Vinny” she confessed, receiving an understanding nod from the water ninja as the two began quickly walking down the halls.

The others were all sitting in this one room, it was like a lounge room. Kai, Jay, Zane and Pixal were talking while Cole and Lloyd were on their phones. “Oh hey Nya!” The lightning ninja spoke out happily as he waved at her.

“Hey” the water ninja sighed, while Deity looked at the ground. Zane, Pixal and Lloyd must’ve noticed the tense sate of the two, as curiosity brightened in their eyes.

“What’s up?” The green ninja asked, slight worry tainting his voice.

“Has anyone seen Vinny?” Nya questioned, causing the others to perk up.

“No? We’ve all been here for the past hour and a half” Kai answered as he cocked his head, wondering why his sister would ask this.

“Fuck…” The water ninja muttered as he rubbed her temples.

“Did something happen to him?” Zane questioned, as they all listened intently.

“Vinny sort of disappeared after Deity left him alone for a few minutes, and he’s not in his room, not with Shancai…so we’re seeing you anyone has seen him” Nya confessed, causing the others’ jaws to drop.

“Can he not get a break?” Cole asked, “Dumb question, but do you think he went back into the forest again?” He added.

“Trust me…he would never go back in there” Deity spoke, she was confident with her words…after what Rushifa did to him last time? Never again.

“Shall we all look around the palace?” Pixal questioned.

“That would be amazing…we’re gonna go find Master Wu and Garmadon” The water ninja spoke, as she turned around to the door.

“Alright then…guess we can all just hope he’s alright” the fire ninja sighed as he got up.

“He better be alright” Lloyd spoke, receiving nods from the others. Nya and Deity turned around leaving the room, as they began looking around the spinjitzu brothers.

“Where do you think he could’ve went?” Nya asked.

“Not sure…but there was this glowing dust leading from my room all the way to his room” Deity confessed.

“This is so weird” the water ninja sighed, receiving a nod from Deity. The two looked around the palace for a while before finding Garmadon and Wu outside on the balcony. “Master Wu!” Nya sighed out in relief.

“Nya?” Wu spoke, curiosity tainting his voice as the two brother looked towards Deity and Nya. “Is something wrong?” He questioned.

“Have you seen Vinny in like the past 30 minutes or so?” The water ninja asked, desperately hoping they had seen him.

“No, shouldn’t he be with the prince?” Garmadon questioned as he cocked his head, it was clear anxiety was creeping up his back.

“Shanni went on patrol…I was with Vinny and left him for a few minutes to check on something and when I went back he wasn’t there” Deity confessed.

“We already told Lloyd and the others, they’re looking around the palace” Nya spoke.

“You were saying?” The oni asked Wu, concern etched on his face and in his voice.

“What?” The water ninja asked.

“We were talking about Vinny…and his strange attitude, I said he was fine but it appears I was wrong” Wu sighed as he rubbed his temples. Deity realised Wu was trying to keep Enji and Rida a secret as of Vinnys’ request.

“We don’t know if he’s missing for certain, he could just be somewhere and we just haven’t’ found him” Deity spoke, as she tried assuring Garmadon and herself, she was just as worried as everyone.

“Well if he’s actually missing, when we find him I’m getting an answer as to what the hell’s happening to him” Garmadon muttered before he walked out, most definitely looking for Vinny.

“I’ll go search my own” Nya spoke, receiving a nod from Deity and Wu. They both watched the water ninja walk out of sight, there was this silence between the two.

“Vinny told you about Rida and Enji?” Deity questioned Wu, breaking the silence.

“Yes, do you think they have something to do with this?” Wu answered.

“Perhaps…though it would be more so Rida” Deity answered, “I’ll be on my way then” she sighed as she walked off, leaving Wu alone. Deity was making her way back to the cameramans’ room, maybe she could find a hint or something.

The room door was closed. Strange. She didn’t do that. Deity slowly and quietly opened the door, not wanting to alert anyone that would be in there. She silently hoped that it would be Vinny in there.

Much to her surprise and dismay, it wasn’t Vinny nor Rida. Enji? And he was looking around, clearly not noticing the door opened. Deitys’ eyes sharpened as she too out her hair pin and grabbed Enji, pushing him against the wall, earning a yelp from the man as his eyes widened once he saw the hair pin against his neck. “What have you done to him?” She hissed.

“Deity! Long time not see…” Enji forcibly chuckled as he held Deitys’ wrist, just in case she decided to actually hurt him.

“Answer me” Deity scowled, as she pressed the hair pin down, not hard enough to penetrate, but enough to dent against the skin. Enji gulped, his adam apple bobbing as he stared up at her.

“Did what to who?” Enji asked, trying to calm her down, though his voice was tainted with some curiosity.

“Vinny, what did you do to him?” She threatened him with the hairpin once more, it was a really sharp hairpin.

“I haven’t done anything! I actually came in here to laugh at him, since some of his friends found out about me!” Enji answered, there was truth to his voice and fear.

“You’re lying about something about one thing in that sentence” Deity spoke, as she lifted the hairpin, about to stab it back down, though it was clearly a bluff.

“I-I swear I haven’t done anything to him! I just came back to get a photo he took!” Enji answered frantically as he turned his head away and shut his eyes, seemingly bracing for impact.

“Photo…?” Deity spoke quietly as she lowered the hairpin and let go of the collar of Enjis’ shirt. Enjis’ cheeks flushed in embarrassment.

“Yes a photo” Enji confirmed as he fixed his shirt. “I haven’t done anything to Vinny, and I refuse to fight you or even scratch…Shanni would kill me…” he muttered the last part.

“Then what I have you been doing?” Deity questioned, as she put the hairpin back in her hair.

“Photo book…” Enji answered as he looked at the ground.

“So that’s why you were here before” Deity spoke, Enji nodded slightly. “Are you sure you don’t know what happened to Vinny? What about Rida?”

“I swear on my life” Enji answered, “Not sure about Rida…he’s been really busy lately” he added.

“Very well…i believe you dear…” Deity sighed in defeat as she sat on the bed.

“I’m sure he’ll turn up eventually, he’s annoyingly persistent” Enji spoke, “Anyways best I be off” as he walked to the windowsill.

“The photo’s in my room…Vinny showed me it…” Deity confessed, as she rubbed her temples, Enji stopped in his tracks and looked back at her.

“Thank you…” Enji whispered as he reached for the enchanted mirror.

“Take care of yourself…for Shanni” she added.

“I will…and I have been…” Enji chuckled as he smiled ss her before throwing the mirror in the air and letting it fall back down. “I’ll see you around someday” he spoke, before disappearing.

Deity let out a shaky sigh, Enji didn’t take Vinny…Rida wasn’t clear however. A window wide open, no other traces than faint glowing dust…was all to similar to her…oh how she missed her husband. Even after all these years she still hopes he’s alive…maybe the same can be said about Vinny…

(Enji not wanting to hurt Deity is the cutest thing, cause he would never hurt Shancais’ mother. And Deity still having a soft spot for Enji is even cuter, because she can’t hate Enji, because Shancai loves him. I can’t live without my doomed yaoi😭😭😭)

The four entered this room, one in there Shancai shut the door and locked it. They weren’t taking risks of being found. There were seats placed, two next to each other and two in front. The cameraman and the prince sat next to each other while Wu and Jay sat next to each other.

“Ask your questions” Vinny sighed out as he leaned back into the chair. He couldn’t care less about Enji at the moment, he was too tired to deal with him.

“That guy, what’s his name? And how long have you known him?” Jay asked curiously.

“His name’s Enji” the cameraman answered as Wu and Jay listened intently. “I’ve known him for a week or so? Longer than you that’s for sure” he added.

“You’re not working with him?” Wu asked, he clearly didn’t believe his question either, he just had to hear Vinny confirm it.

“Never” Vinny answered.

“Who knows about him?” The lightning ninja questioned.

“Me, my sister and mother” Shancai spoke, receiving a nod from the others.

“That’s because he’s an enemy of the kingdom” Vinny added, clarifying it more.

“How’d you two meet?” Wu questioned, the cameraman let out a painful chuckle.

“Remember that guy I told you about? The random hallucination one?” Vinny asked.

“Yes?” Wu spoke, while Jay looked confused. Wu seemed to be realising where this was going.

“Yes it was him…and he’s made my life a living hell” the cameraman grumbled as he looked at the ground.

“Didn’t you say he-?” Wu was cut off.

“Yea I did…he was threatening everyone, I didn’t know what the ruck to do. Hell I almost told Garmadon about him once, but Enji fucking threatened him too!” Vinny laughed out, though it was clearly forced and the memories were painful.

“Breath…” Shancai spoke to the cameraman softly as he placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

“Oh right! You and Garmadon are fucking dating?!” Jay suddenly asked, causing Vinnys’ cheeks to grow bright red.

“Yes…” he answered embarrassingly, “We’re on a little break though…” he sighed out, Jays’ mind turned off as he tried processing this.

“So Enji’s the reason you’re like this?” Wu asked, receiving a nod from the cameraman. “Do you know anything about him?”

“Yea…remember when you came back from the mission and I said his powers were like illusions?” Vinny asked, receiving a nod. “That’s cause he’s the elemental master of illusion” he spoke.

“Seriously?” Jay asked, “Anything else he can do?”

“He knows some magic, sometimes when he creates illusions he can turn some into actual objects” Shancai spoke, “And he works with someone named Rida”

“Is Rida worse?” Wu asked.

“It’s…complicated…” Shancai spoke, causing them to see what Vinny would say.

“Very complicated…” The cameraman sighed, as he pulled his dagger from his pocket, “This dagger was Enjis’, but Rida gave it to me for some reason…and so far Rida’s been kinder to be than Enji, but I can’t trust him, he’s unsettling” Vinny spoke.

“Tell them about the key…” Shancai muttered to the cameraman, causing him to tense.

“What key?” Jay asked.

“The key you got back from the mission that disappeared” Wu sighed to Jay, understanding what it meant.

“I…may have helped Enji get it…” Vinny quietly confessed as quilt crawled up his back.

“What?!” Jay spoke as his eyes widened.

“Not by choice! He came to me at like 2am in the fucking morning and looked like if I didn’t do it he would kill someone” The cameraman spoke.

“What’s the significance of it?” Wu questioned, as he nodded in understanding, he understood why Vinny would do such a thing.

“Not sure” the cameraman lied, Deity told him the significance and told him to keep it a secret so he was.

“Me neither” Shancai spoke as he sighed.

“Has Enji hurt you?” Wu asked.

“He stabbed my hand and foot” Vinny spoke bluntly as he held up his hand which had stitches, “So I thankfully had Zane and Pixal stitch it up, i think it was a few days after, but I didn’t want it get infected” He added.

“So the other day, back at the monastery, when you were eating and you just yelled for no reason was it because of Enji?” Jay asked.

“Yea…” the cameraman chuckled painfully, “He’s an asshole I know…” he sighed.

“The person he works with, Rida, is he one we should be wary of?” Wu asked.

“Not sure…Enji listens to Rida and respects him, so I think yes…” Vinny answered.

“Definitely…Rids tends to be the brains of the two, Enji’s smart, but he’s sent out to do plans” Shancai spoke.

“Does Rida have powers?” Jay asked.

“Dark magic or well the dark arts” Shancai spoke, “He’s well in it as well” he added. Wu and Jays’ eyes widened.

“I thought he did normal magic” Vinny spoke as he looked at the prince.

“Rarely, there are things you can only do in those, so he tends to lead into the more destructive path” Shancai answered.

“That’s not good, how long has he been after your kingdom?” Wu asked.

“Perhaps seven years?” The prince spoke.

“Doesn’t Garmadon know more about magic? Maybe he knows counters and stuff?” Jay asked.

“Perhaps, though my brother most likely distanced himself from those things” Wu answered.

“He has…but he still knows stuff” Vinny spoke up, “I asked him about all that stuff” the cameraman continued.

“He answered you?” Wu asked.

“At first he was a bit hesitant, but he eventually didn’t mind telling me about it…he told me all about that stuff, elementals, powers and magic, he definitely knows about it” Vinny answered.

“Perhaps I can ask him?” Wu spoke, receiving a nod from the others.

“Quick question…how does Enji get around, one moment he’s here the next he isn’t” Jay questioned.

“An enchanted mirror, it’s a small shard that teleports him placed, mostly places with a mirror, though sometimes it can take you other places” Shancai explained. “In your case, you were dropped for the sky by one”

“Shanni they don’t know how we got here…” Vinny sighed, he still felt guilty about bringing everyone here.

“You know how we got here?” Jay asked.

“Yes…sort of my fault too…” the cameraman awkwardly spoke.

“Not your fault” Shancai spoke, as he looked at Vinny, not liking him blaming himself.

“Anyways!” Vinny spoke, “I had this fucked up enchanted mirror shard then we dropped from the sky” he sighed out.

“This is all so strange” Wu spoke.

“Trust me…I know” The cameraman chuckled.

“You can’t keep these secrets” Wu sighed, while Jay nodded.

“I know…” Vinny spoke, “It’s just hard…he threatens everyone and sometimes I know he’ll act on those words…”

“We won’t tell the others?” Jay asked.

“Please don’t…” The cameraman begged, receiving nods from Jay and Wu.

“Best we be off then…the others might get suspicious” Wu spoke as he got up.

“Yea…” Vinny spoke, as he watched them go to the door, he relaxed more into the chair.

“If anything else happens tell us” Wu spoke, receiving a nod from the two as they both walked out. Shancai and Vinny were left alone in the room.

“That went way better than I anticipated” the prince spoke up.

“I know” the cameraman laughed out in relief. “That could’ve went so wrong in so many ways” he sighed out.

“I told you, you’re friends are understanding” Shancai spoke as he patted Vinnys’ back.

“I know…I was just overthinking” the cameraman sighed, as he stretched. “Should we go back and train?”

“If you want to” the prince answered, Vinny happily nodded so they both stood up and began making their way back out. They could only hope nothing else happened…

“We can continue in an hour” Shancai spoke up as they began walking down the halls, “You’re not in the best mood at the moment” he added in an understanding voice.

“T-Thank you…” The cameraman answered quietly as he leaned closer to the prince, who was Jay gonna tell? Nya? Wu?

“Enji wanted to be found, he clearly knew Jay was there…if he didn’t want to be found he would’ve told you sooner” Shancai spoke comfortingly as he watched Vinny stare at the ground.

“I’m scared…” The cameraman managed to squeak out as tears began rolling down his cheeks. The princes’ expression softened as they stopped walking and he stood in front of Vinny, placing his hands on his shoulder comfortingly.

“I know…” Shancai began as he tried making the cameraman look up at him, “You have every right to be scared, you don’t need to pretend with me…” he added.

“Why do you do it…?” Vinny whispered as he looked up at Shancai, his eyes glistening with tears. The prince let out a shaky breath hearing this, he hadn’t expected a question like this. There was silence for a few minutes and it was deafening as tension filled the air.

“I…” Shancai spoke as he lowered his gaze, the cameraman clearly didn’t mean to ask that question, but he did and wanted an answer. “I haven’t opened up to someone in years…last time I did was Enji…” he confessed quietly, as guilt and shame tainted with his voice and expression.

“You said you were friends before…how close were you two actually…?” Vinny hesitantly pressed on as he listened intently, while rubbing tears from his eyes.

“Close…I was closer with him than anyone, I trusted him and I lo-“ the prince cut himself out, as his voice quietened.

“Can we go to that room I told you about?” Vinny spoke up, receiving a nod from Shancai, as the cameraman began leading the way. It was a fairly long walk, Vinny hadn’t realised how much he ran after Jay till now. As they reached the room he could practically feel the princes’ guilt grow.

They both entered the room, still as dusty as before. “Why would he come in here…?” Vinny asked curiously as he looked around.

“I am…unsure…” Shancai answered, though it was a lie, but the cameraman didn’t push on as they both searched the room. Vinny noticed a picture on the ground, must’ve fell from the photo book, he grabbed it and shoved it into his pocket, he didn’t know how the prince would react.

“Can we leave…?” Shancai asked shakily , discomfort evident. The cameraman nodded as they both left, closing the door behind them.

“Sorry…for changing this up so quickly…” Vinny apologised, he felt bad, Shancai tried comforting him before, but he just flipped the whole conversation into an interrogation session.

“Hey you two!” A familiar voice called out, Kai? They both turned around, instantly changing their attitudes.

“Hey Kai!” Vinny answered as a smile, plastered its way onto his face, the fire ninja came over.

“What you two up to?” Kai questioned.

“Wandering” Shancai bluntly answered.

“Yea pretty much it, he’s also helping me fight a little” The cameraman added.

“Cool!” Kai answered, “You think one day I can spar you?” He questioned curiously.

“Unless I have a death wish, no” Vinny chuckled, causing the fire ninja to fake pout. “Anyways what are you up to?” He asked.

“On my way to the dinner hall, everyone else is going since it’s like lunch or something” Kai answered, the cameraman looked up at Shancai, they were both silently communicating. The idea of everyone being there made Vinny uneasy.

“Have you seen Jay?” Shancai spoke up.

“Uhh yea…I saw him running, though he didn’t even talk to me” Kai answered, with confusion.

“Right…” The cameraman sighed out.

“You two should come eat” The fire ninja added, Shancai was about to say something, most likely a protect, but was cut off.

“Sure” Vinny answered, causing the prince to look at him curiously.

“I’ll see you two there” Kai answered with a smile as he ran off.

“Are you sure?” Shancai asked the cameraman when Kai was out of hearing range.

“No…” Vinny whined, “Better now then later…Enji wants something from me and I won’t let the others get hurt, because I’m keeping secrets…” he added, guilt continuously gnawing at him.

“Very well…but what he told everyone?” Shancai asked.

“So be it…” the cameraman answered, “They’ll know the truth, they’ll know why I’m fucking crazy” he added as he clenched his fists and stared at the ground.

“What if they don’t ask?” Shancai questioned.

“I’ll try to push off the questions, avoid them, but if it’s more persistent then I’ll tell…” the cameraman replied, as they both began walking down the halls.

“I miss my sister…she’s better at this…” the prince sighed.

“I don’t mind…you’re good at this too, if I want more emotional talks she would be better, but right now I need someone to keep me calm…either way I enjoy talking to you about this stuff…” the cameraman answered with a smile, Shancai looked surprised for a moment.

“Thank you…” The prince spoke up as a small smile appeared on his face.

“Alright then, if Jay hasn’t told everyone and he tries asking me questions I’ll tell him later, explain everything and try making him keep it a secret” Vinny spoke as he tried reassuring himself.

“That sounds like it could work” Shancai answered, receiving a soft nod from the cameraman, “Best we be off then?” He asked, receiving another nod as they continued walking.

The two eventually made it to the dinner hall and entered, thankfully the room didn’t go silent when they saw Vinny, only Jay and Wu were quiet, and they were sitting next to each other. It would make sense for the lightning ninja to tell Wu about this. The cameraman could only hope that Garmadon doesn’t know.

“Hey you two!” Cole spoke with a smile as he signalled for them to sit down next to him. Vinny smiled in response and sat next to him, Kai was on the other side of Cole. Shancai obviously sat next to Vinny, who was trying to ignore Garmadons’ eyes that were fixated on him, with worry and curiosity.

“Where have you two been? I haven’t see you around the palace?” Nya asked as she ate.

“I’m teaching him how to fight” the prince answered, causing the group to look surprised.

“Really?” Lloyd asked curiously, receiving a confirming nod from Vinny.

“Yep, just was a bit curious, and it won’t do anyone harm if I learnt how to defend myself properly, especially in our city” the cameraman chuckled out, it wasn’t a lie, Ninjago was very dangerous and it seemed like there was a new villain every month.

“That’s cool” Cole laughed, “Hey Shancai, I’ve been wondering something” he added as he turned his attention to the prince.

“Go ahead” Shancai responded with a nod, while Vinny tried to ignore the fact that Jay was staring at him, while talking quietly to Wu.

“Would there be anyway to come back to the kingdom after we’re sent back to Ninjago?” The earth ninja asked, “It’s just this place is amazing”

“I suppose there could be a way, though it might take some time to actually make it properly” The prince answered.

“Like what?” Kai asked.

“You may have heard of it, travellers tea” Shancai spoke, receiving an understanding nod from the others. “I can ask my mother if you wish and I doubt this would be the last time we see each other” he added.

“That would be great” Wu spoke up, “Does the kingdom count as a realm?” He asked curiously.

“Not necessarily, it’s just isolated and I assume your city isn’t close” The prince answered, receiving another nod.

“Does the mirror Enji has work?” Vinny muttered, he knew it probably did, but he just wanted to confirm his suspicions, Shancai silently nodded to the cameraman.

“Hey Vinny…?” Jay spoke up, his voice full of reluctance. The cameramans’ heart dropped, try to play it off was the only thing he could do.

“Yea?” Vinny answered shakily, while the others listened intently and Shancai stared at the cameraman with worry.

“Who’s-“ Jay was cut off, by Vinny kicking his leg under the table, desperately trying to signal for him to stop. The lightning ninja looked at the cameraman looked like he was on the verge of a panic attack. “Who’s taking your place at work? You’ve been gone for awhile” he thankfully changed the topic, catching the hint.

“Not sure…” Vinny answered, as he let out a soft sigh of relief.

“Won’t you get fired?” Lloyd asked.

“Maybe, maybe not…” the cameraman spoke, “I’ve worked there for years mainly for Gayle, she’s really pushy and others don’t really stay with her, i’ve done a lot of things that would normally get me fired but didn’t” he added.

“That’s funny” Kai chuckled, “Why don’t you quit?”

“Finding a job when living in a city that gets destroyed every other month is hard” Vinny answered, receiving an understanding nod from the others.

The rest of the time was spent with making jokes and eating, nothing too serious. Eventually Shancai and Vinny left and hanged out in the halls, it wasn’t late but not early either. Afternoon.

“That went better than expected” the prince spoke to the cameraman.

“Yea…I kicked Jays’ leg under the table” Vinny answered, “And thankfully he understood what I meant and changed the topic”

“Your work life sounds interesting” Shancai confessed.

“It is…” the cameraman chuckled in response as they began strolling down the halls.

“Vinny!” A familiar voice called out, right…Jay really wanted to have that talk…the cameraman and the prince stopped turning around. Jay and Wu were coming over, so the lightning ninja definitely told Wu.

“Hey…” Vinny spoke awkwardly as he balanced on the balls of his feet, and rubbed the back on his neck, avoiding eye contact.

“An explanation would do well” Wu sighed out as he watched the cameraman slowly be eaten up by anxiousness.

“Right…” Vinny sighed out.

“I suggest somewhere more private” Shancai spoke up, receiving a nod from the others as they began walking, following the prince.

“We both know you won’t” Enji chuckled, as he slipped the dagger out of Vinnys’ hand, he knew the threats were fake, for now. “You wouldn’t want to get rid of me…Shannis’ one person of affection” he added with a sly smirk.

“Don’t bullshit me, you’re an asshole he wouldn’t love you” The cameraman scowled, truth is, he didn’t want to believe it. He could tell Enji and Shancai had some closeness. “And I doubt you love him…” he added as he got back up.

“I don’t love him? How are you so certain?” Enji asked, “You just accidentally waltz into the kingdom and suddenly he’s giving you everything? That’s no fair” he spoke up, there was slight jealousy in his voice that Vinny took notice of, he might ask Deity or Willow when he saw them next.

“You’re trying to destroy his kingdom, and I’m somehow involved in this whole situation, so I’m an ally, a friend, you’re here destroying my life for some fucked up reason no one’s told me yet” Vinny snapped back, he was growing a bit more of a spine around Enji, he realised he wouldn’t get seriously hurt and that Enji was more playful.

“Oh pleaseeee” Enji groaned, “Just because I caused some issues between you and your boyfriend and may have attacked your friends doesn’t destroy your life” he added.

“It does mean that!” The cameraman answered, “You appeared one fucking night and decided you had problems with me! Everyone thinks I’m hysteric or something, because I look like shit, I feel like shit and I’m sick of your shit!” He hissed as he grabbed the collar of Enjis’ shirt.

“Man it’s fun seeing you mad!” Enji laughed out, “Either way you won’t kill me”

“You’re bullshitting me about him…and plus it’s not my fault we’re here! That stupid mirror shard thing made us fall from the fucking sky!” Vinny yelled back.

“Sure thing! Why do you think he hasn’t killed me?” Enji chuckled before going over to a draw that looks like it hasn’t been opened in years and grabbing a photo book out. “I know more about him than anyone…and I warned you about the mirror shard” he added.

“What’s that…? And you knowing everything about him makes you sound like a stalker and I don’t want to know why he hasn’t killed you” Vinny spoke, he felt uneasy about it, was it dangerous and why did Enji want it?

“None of your business!” Enji snapped as he held the book, the cameraman tried grabbing it, but was pushed away.

“Asshole” Vinny muttered, realising he wasn’t gonna win.

“Yea yea…” Enji mumbled, “Once your deemed useless you’re gonna be killed in less than 5 minutes” he added with a smile.

“What?” The cameraman asked shakily.

“Why so tense buddy?! Just kidding!” Enji laughed, “But ruining your life is so fun!” He chuckled.

“Go fuck yourself!” Vinny hissed, before trying to grab the book once more this time managing to get into this little fight and defend battle. More so Enji was defending the book.

“Geez! Why do you care? It’s just a book!” Enji hissed as he pushed Vinny across the room.

“Why won’t you show me!? How can I trust that you’re not trying to hurt someone here?!” Vinny hissed back as he grabbed the dagger.

“You have more problems to take care of!” Enji scowled, causing the cameraman to pause.

“What?” Vinny asked curiously, Enji chuckled and pointed to the door which was slightly open, the cameraman turned his attention there and his heart dropped as he felt all air leave his lungs.

“Your little friends’ been watching us the whole time” Enji laughed, eyes peeking through of the crack of the door, Jay…he saw this…he saw everything…

The cameraman watched as Jay disappeared. Vinny took a shaky sigh before trying to get up to chase after him, only to be kept down by Enji, “Let me go asshole!” He hissed as he writhed trying to get away.

“Nope!” Enji teased, only to have his chest elbowed, as Vinny shoved his dagger in his pocket and ran as fast as his legs allowed, he wanted to punch Enji, when he heard his laughter echo, before slowly subsiding as he ran further.

He saw Jay running down the halls, “Jay wait!” Vinny called out in desperation, he couldn’t have anyone finding out, not yet…he didn:t even realise the fact that he ran past Garmadon.

The lightning ninja didn’t stop, but instead ran faster and out of sight. The cameraman eventually stopped when he realised he couldn’t catch up. His legs trembled beneath him as he leaned against the wall…this was terrible…did Jay presume Vinny was a traitor? He wasn’t a traitor and that interaction with Enji was harsh.

“Vinny?” A familiar voice spoke, as he saw a figure come closer to him.

“Shancai…” The cameraman whimpered out, as tears pricked in the corner of his eyes. The prince immediately rested his hands on Vinnys’ shoulders.

“I said take as long as you want, I didn’t think you would…what happened?” Shancai asked with concern. Without warning the cameraman hugged the prince tightly, fuck he was scared, he was really scared. Shancai paused when he felt arms wrap around him, before he slowly wrapped his arms around Vinny.

“E-Enji…he was here and h-he-“ The cameraman was speaking to fast for anyone to comprehend, thought he could notice the surprise in the princes’ eyes.

“Calm down…” Shancai spoke softly, “Deep breaths…tell me slowly…” the prince whispered comfortingly.

“F-fuck…” Vinny whimpered out, “Enji…h-he disguised himself as Deity…took me to this room and we had this weird conversation…I-I was took annoyed at him I-I didn’t even realise that J-Jay was looking in from the door!” He confessed as he tried holding his tears back.

“He saw you…did Enji specify why he was here?” Shancai asked.

“N-no…thought he room we went to he took this book…it looked like a photo book” The cameraman answered shakily, as he rubbed his eyes.

“A…photo book…” The prince repeated, his voice shakier than ever.

“Y-you okay…?” Vinny asked noticing, Shancais’ mood change.

“Yea…Jay ran off, right?” The prince asked, receiving a nod from the cameraman, “Did you and Enji act as if friends?”

“N-no…we fought a little, he said how much he enjoyed messing my life up…and I swore at him a lot…he was also the one behind my hallucinations…” Vinny confessed, taking deep breaths.

“Good…” Shancai answered, “If he tells anyone, you eon’t be in much trouble…” the prince added as he tried comforting the cameraman.

“E-Enji…he spoke of you…” Vinny hesitantly spoke up quietly, he could’ve sworn he saw guilt form in the princes’ eyes.

“What…did he say…?” Shancai quietly asked, seemingly already knowing the answer.

“He said if I kil-“ Vinny cut himself off, he didn’t want to finish and the prince noticed this.

“Ignore him…” Shancai answered, “Trust me…your friends are very understanding, they won’t be mad…” he added.

“I just…he keeps ruining everything…” Vinny confessed as he anxiously stroked his hand through his hair.

“Trust me…I know…” The prince spoke, his expression once more changing into guilt.

Vinny and Shancai sat in silence, the cameraman was really mad at himself for hurting him. “What were you seeing?” The prince spoke up, breaking the intimidating silence, as he bandages the small cuts from Vinny.

The cameraman didn’t answer at first before he took a deep sigh, “Enji…just as you told me too…everything was just different” he confessed as he looked at the ground.

“I’m not mad…” Shancai reassured Vinny, “Go wash your face off, take as long as you need” he added as he patted the cameramans’ shoulder, grabbing the dagger off the ground and handing it to him.

Vinny exhaled shakily as he took the dagger back, he still couldn’t bear the fact that he hurt Shancai, because of some stupid hallucinations. “Thanks…” the cameraman replied quietly as he stood up and took one last look at the prince, giving him a forced smile, he could clearly see the concern etched on Shancais’ face.

The cameraman walked back into the palace and let out another sigh, before rubbing his temples, and walking off to his room. He didn’t want to keep Shancai waiting, but he didn’t even want to look at the prince after what he did.

Vinny eventually made it to his room and rushed to the bathroom, before splashing his face with cold water. “Calm down you little shit…” he spoke to himself as he looked at the mirror. “Just some fucking hallucinations, this sure as hell can’t happen around my friends…” he grumbled.

The cameraman paused as he looked at the mirror once more, Damn did he look good in this outfit. He mentally slapped himself, he needed to stop getting distracted so he rushed out of the room, closing the door behind him.

The walk back outside was so, he wanted to delay facing the prince again. So when he bumped into Deity it was the perfect opportunity to waste some time. “Hey” Vinny spoke to her with a smile, as they bumped into each other.

“Hello dear” Deity spoke softly as she smiled back.

“Whatcha up to?” The cameraman asked curiously, “I haven’t really seen you much out of your room” he added as he balanced on the balls of his feet.

“Just getting some fresh air” She replied, “What about you? That’s a very interesting outfit you have, some of Shancai’s old clothes?”

“Yep! We’re just training, got some of his clothes, the cloak is makeshift and he just gave me the arm braces” Vinny answered with a smile.

“That’s nice” Deity answered, though…something was off, the cameraman couldn’t quite place his finger on it, so he thought he was being delusional again. The two walked a different as to where Vinny was meant to go, they ended up in this room that he couldn’t quite recognise.

“I’ve never seen this place before” The cameraman spoke up as he looked around, it was a nicely decorated room, beanbags, old drawings and stuff, though it looks like it hasn’t been touched in decades, she didn’t clarify this place to him though.

“How’s your arm dear from yesterday?” Deity asked, Vinnys’ heart dropped, how did she know? He and Shancai agreed to keep it a secret…

He knew the prince was just as paranoid of someone finding out. He wouldn’t have told. No one else was there at the market when Enji attacked, barely anyone saw the cameraman. The only one that could’ve know was…Enji…

Vinny backed away, only to hear a soft chuckle from ‘Deity’ which slowly became more conniving. “You really make these games less fun” ‘she’ groaned before she disappeared, the cameraman jumped as he felt two hands cover his eyes. “Guess who it is~” a familiar voice spoke in a singsongy voice, a voice that Vinny dreaded.

“Enji…” the cameraman gritted through his teeth as hatred and annoyance creeped up his back. This asshole was pretending to be Deity now?

“Correct! And I must say I love the outfit” Enji laughed out demonically as he moved his hands away from the cameramans’ eyes. “I must say! That little attack you did on princey hurts my heart!” He spoke dramatically.

“That was you!?” Vinny hissed as anger flared up, oh how he wanted to cut his tongue right now.

“Calm down buddy!” Enji chuckled as he held up his arms in mock surrender, before grabbing the cameramans’ arm and finding the slice wound. “That looks like it hurt” he spoke with fake empathy.

“Yea yea asshole, go suck it” Vinny grumbled before he held up his middle finger as he pulled his arm back.

“You’re so boring” Enji groaned.

“I’m not here to entertain you” The cameraman muttered.

“C’mon buddy! Let’s just talk, I’m so bored!” Enji groaned once more before resting on one of the dusty beanbags.

“What do you want to talk about?” Vinny hissed, clearly getting more annoyed.

“Yesterday was so much fun right! But Shanni just had to take the fun out of it protect you” Enji spoke, his voice becoming more harsh near the end of his sentence.

“I didn’t ask him to protect me” Vinny snapped back, “Not my fault you’re some freak hell you should’ve seen what that kick did to him! Were you trying to kill me?!” He shouted, he was really short tempered today.

“Kill you? No. Cripple you? Probably” Enji teased as he grabbed the dagger from the cameramans’ pocket and twirled it in his pocket. “I would never hurt sunshine like that” he added, there was truth to those words.

“Sunshine…?” Vinny asked curiously, there was no way Enji called Shancai sunshine. He knew Enji had some weird obsession with the prince, but seriously, was he actually in love with Shancai?

“We both know who I’m talking about!” Enji chuckled out, as he took his hair tie out, letting his hair fall down.

“I wish I didn’t…” the cameraman grumbled.

“How was your meeting with Rushifa?” Enji suddenly asked as a demonic smile creeped up on his face, Vinny stopped breathing for a second, he didn’t want to think about it.

“It was…” The cameraman was cut off by Enji cackling out.

“You missed me right?! Oh you so missed me! Can’t blame you, that snake is crazy!” He laughed out, Vinny hated how true his words were, he would rather deal with Enji than that snake ever again.

“Keep laughing asshole…” The cameraman muttered before being pulled down onto the ground and forced to kneel in front of Enji.

“I will keep laughing” Enji snapped back as he watched annoyance creep onto Vinnys’ face. “Speaking of which! How’s your boyfriend? He doesn’t love you right? You’re on a break, because you’re fucking terrible?” He added, as he continued twirling the dagger as he looked down at Vinny.

The cameramans’ anger flared as he suddenly lunged up grabbing the dagger from Enji and holding it against his throat. “Shut up!” He hissed as he held him down. “You don’t know a thing about me and Garmadon!”

“Soft spot eh?” Enji teased, “Y’know it’s best to get rid of your weak spots, maybe then you’ll kill me” he chuckled as he held Vinnys’ wrist. “I know you won’t kill me…Shanni loves me, you wouldn’t take that from him, right?” He added.

Vinny let out a shaky breath, that couldn’t be true, right? But it would make so much sense, Shancai was capable to killing Enji, but hasn’t for some reason. And apparently the two used to be friends. Maybe Shancai just had a soft spot? “Maybe I should get rid of you…do him a favour” The cameraman eventually spoke up, his voice harsh and bitter.

(Enji and Shancai are such an interesting thing that I love, always have loved and always will love, Vinny threatening people is like being threatened by a kitten)

The cameraman shivered as he felt the smaller snakes climbed onto him and licked his skin. “Now now…how are you in the palace? I’ve never sssseen you before?” Rushifa spoke as she grabbed a decayed corpse off the ground and tore off its arm before biting into it. Vinny felt like he was gonna be sick, if the smell wasn’t enough seeing that definitely would.

“I-I j-just me and my f-friends-“ Vinny was stuttering like crazy as he held back a gag. He hated it here, he hated everything at the moment…

“Oh you’re even more fun than I thought” Rushifa laughed out sadistically as she allowed a snake crawl up to her ear? Ear holes? Whatever snakes have. Vinny watched as it hissed into her ears, seemingly telling her something. She pulled her veil down before getting really up close with Vinny.

The cameraman was caught off guard by her appearance, she was blind? A scar across her whole face, while her fangs were sharp like daggers, that could pierce through the air. “Your friendssss are coming!” She says to him as her tail squeezes around choking the air out of his lungs while her stinger threatened to pierce his cheek.

“W-what?” Vinny asked worriedly, they couldn’t be here, maybe Willow and Shancai knew how to fight this snake. Rushifa took another bite of the torn arm, her teeth sinking into its rotting flesh before she threw it against the ground allowing the smaller snakes to go after it and satiate their hunger.

“You heard me” She circled around him, “Your ninja friendsss and SSShancai along with that inssssuferable Willow are here! In my domain” She giggled, her voice darkened when talking about Willow, she didn’t seem to like her, “But no worriesss! I’ll deal with them” she hissed, before throwing her veil back on.

“S-Say! We haven’t had proper introductions, w-why don’t we ask some questions about each other?” Vinny asked as he tried to squirm out, but failed miserably due to the tail wrapped tightly.

“Rida wasss right about you, you sssure care about your friendssss” she hissed as she slithered down to a rotting tree stump and sat against it, her tail grip on Vinny loosening ever so slightly, “I suppossse you can ask some questions” she added, as she put her hand up signalling for him to continue, her nails were sharp they were more like claws…

“Uhh r-right…h-how do you know Rida…?” The cameraman hesitantly asked as he took a deep breathe of relief as her grip loosened.

“Me and Rida both dissslike the kingdom, we are not friendsss neither acquaintancesss he asksss for the occasional favour, I decide if I listen or not” Rushifa spoke as she allowed the smaller snakes to climb onto her and wrap around her neck.

“S-so neutral terms?” Vinny asked, receiving a nod from the snake.

“Now I have a question for you” She began, Vinny hesitantly nodded in agreement allowing her to continue. “Why does Rida have his eyess set on you?” She questioned, as she stood up again and circled around him, stopped behind him.

“I…I don’t now…” Vinny sighed before taking a sharp breathe as he felt a sharp claw press against the back on his neck.

“Are you sssure?” She questioned once more as she rested her head on Vinnys’ shoulder while wrapped one hand around his neck.

What the actual fuck was going one? Was all that was going through Vinnys’ mind, he hated being touched like this, “Y-yes…” he shakily responded as he tried to pull away from her touch, knowing very well it was futile. He wanted to kill himself the moment he felt her hand on his thigh…he met some random fucking snake lady in the forest and was now being harassed, who has this happened too before?!

“Don’t be shy” she whispered into his ear, “You were an easy one to convince to come here” she added, as she turned Vinnys’ face to a lifeless body on the ground..the exact body of the servant he spoke to before. Vinny felt disgusted more specifically at himself, why couldn’t stop her? Why was he so weak!?

“L-let me go…” Vinny whimpered out, it wasn’t an order but a plea, he hated being touched like this.

“What would Garamadon think if he found you like thisss?” She asked her voice feigning with mock empathy, Vinnys’ heart ached at the thought of Garmadon, she was right, what would he think? Would he be mad? Disgusted?

He didn’t want anyone else see him like this…he wanted to curl into a ball and die, she chuckled before reached towards the ground and tearing a piece of flesh of a body and pressing is against Vinnys’ mouth, “Eat it” she ordered, Vinnys’ heart dropped and his stomach twisted…he kinda missed Enji right now…

“W-what?” The cameraman managed to whimper our shakily, as he tried pulling his head away from the flesh being pressured to him, surely she must be joking? There was no way he would eat that…or so he thought…

“You heard me, eat it” she repeated her tone harsher as her hand entangled in Vinnys’ head keeping him in place and unable to turn away from the food?

“I-I can’t t-there’s h-how-“ The cameraman began stuttering again, he felt light-headed, where were the others? He couldn’t careless if they saw him like this…he wanted to leave he wanted to be free…

“You will eat it, whether you like it or not” She repeated, as she continued to pressure Vinny. “Eat it…and you and your friendsss may be able to leave somewhat unscathed”

Vinnys’ heart ached hearing that, he wanted to protect them, but what if she was lying? “S-swear?” He asked shakily, “Swear we’ll all leave a-alive? Hardly injured?” He added, desperate for an answer.

“I’ll hardly hurt them…I’ll attack if they attack firssst and have a little fun, but their injuriesss will be none too harsh, but a ssscratch of sssome sortsss” she answered, Vinny let out a shaky breathe as he turned his attention to the piece of flesh in front of him…what it worth it…?

“I-I…” the cameraman stuttered, out a snake hissed something into Rushifas’ ear.

“Time isss ticking, your friendsss are closse” She says to him as she pushes the flesh closer to his mouth, Vinny wanted to vomit, everything here was revolting.

“C-can’t I get s-sick?” He stuttered out.

“We’ll just have to sssee, I’ve done thisss to a certain someone nod she isn’t ill” Rushifa responded as she laughed softly, “Now eat” she hissed harsher than before, the grip of her tail loosened now Vinny was able to move his hands.

Tears welled in Vinnys’ eyes as he shut them tightly before opening his mouth slightly, Rushifa let out a sadistic chuckle before placing it in his mouth. It was disgusting…the coppery taste of the blood mixed with the salty tears of his, he held back a gag, “Chew” she ordered, “And make sure to swallow” she added in a playful tone.

He whimpered as he chewed, he wanted to throw up, he wanted to wash him out out. Eventually Vinny forced himself to swallow, before she fully released him from her tail, he dropped to the ground and sobbed staring at the ground, hoping he didn’t do this for nothing.

A small flicker of hoped burned in his chest as he heard soft muttering of a group of people in the forest and Rushifa noticed it too, staring a Vinny before lifting up his chin, “Best you smile for them” she says to him before planting a kiss on his cheek…that worsened Vinnys’ sickness as he tried rubbing away his tears…no one needed to know what he did…

Rushifa used the smaller snakes to hold Vinny down as she hid in the shadows. He didn’t fight back, he was tired and weak…his eyes widened as he saw Shancai and Willows’ figure followed by the rest of the group, their eyes instantly widened as they saw Vinny as they ran over and tried pulling the snakes away. “Shit! Are you alright?!” Willow asked with worry as she controlled the vines to throw the snakes all away,

“I-I’m fine…” Vinny answered, his voice was hoarse, it was an obvious lie…they all could tell, he was weak and shaky. The cameraman was helped up, everyone looked worried out of their mind, but he was drawn out of his thought, by a demonic echoey laugh, right…Rushifa was still here.

Willows’ eyes widened and she growled in annoyance, she didn’t seem to like Rushifa as much as Rushifa hated her. They all were on guard as they stared around. “She uses the smaller snakes to see us…” Willow spoke to them all, receiving a nod from the others as they drew their swords.

Vinny was surprised…because the moment no one payed attention, Garmadon pulled him as close as possible, Vinny looked up at him, he was so much more worried than the others…his heart ached…

“You made quite a bit of friendsss Willow” Rushifa spoke as she hanged from a tree branch using her tail, the nature elemental was about to attack, but was held back by her brother, “Sssoooo sssnappy”

Rushifa attacked first, hitting Jay with her stinger and falling into Nya’s arms. The rest of the ninja fought back, while Nya stayed with Jay who was slowly using his body function. Willow went over to the two before creating a berry, “Eat it” she spoke as she handed it to him, the lightning ninja did as told and his function was given back.

Vinny was just standing there, Garmadon was just standing in front of him…protecting him…his mind was numb…he couldn’t get rid of the coppery taste in his mouth, but he was drawn out of his thoughts by a loud hiss as Kai slashed his sword against Rushifas’ face tearing the veil and scarring her across her eyes…she was definitely gonna have another scar.

The group watched as the snake retreated into the trees followed by smaller snakes. As they determined she was gone they focused their attention on Vinny. “You sure you’re okay? She didn’t hit you with her stinger?” Shancai questioned.

“Yea…” Vinny responded his voice was monotone and his expression was blank, other than the slightly puffy eyes. The others noticed this, and it seemed to pain Willow the most. Willow began walking one way followed by everyone, he remained quiet he felt like if he spoke he would burst out in tears and throw up.

“Why’d you go here?” Zane asked, everyone looked just as curious.

“Some lying bitch convinced” Vinny grumbled, his tone was filled with hate, everyone seemed surprised by his tone, “I wasn’t going to! But then there were fucking wolves and I had no where else to fucking go!” He hissed, his anger was directed at himself.

“Are you sure you’re alright…?” Lloyd asked as they went back on the path, Willow waited till everyone got out and sealed that part of the forest again.

“I’m fucking fine…” Vinny answered as he walked past them trying to get back into the palace.

“Vinny seriously…what happened?” Nya asked, desperate for a proper answer.

“Nothing fucking happened! Drop it!” He hissed as tears began to well in his eyes again, they were caught off guard by his harsh tone and watched him walk into the palace leaving them jaw dropped.

“Show someone go after him?” Jay asked.

“No…he needs to be alone…” Willow sighed out as she rubbed her temples, the group nodded and slowly dispersed.

Vinny entered his room and fucking ran to the bathroom, he dropped to his knees in front of the toilet and almost immediately threw up, it was so relieving…he felt guilty for snapping at Nya, but they wouldn’t blame him if they found out what he did. He continued to throw up gagging and crying to himself.

Who the hell did he piss off for this to happen?

Everyone had went to go rest up after the sparring they were going to the markets later. “Hey…where’d Vinny go? He disappeared” Willow spoke up to her brother as they walked together.

“I am unsure…though Nya did go somewhere, I presume she knows?” Shancai answered, his sister nodded and grabbed his hand and tugged him towards a different hallway. “Where are we going?” He asked.

“We’re gonna go ask her if something happened, he wouldn’t just leave like that” Willow spoke, receiving a nod from her brother. They continued to walk down the halls before knocking on the door, Jay opened it.

“Oh hey” Jay spoke, clearly surprised to see the two.

“Hey, can we just borrow Nya for a second?” Nya asked as she peeked the in the room and looked at Nya who was laying on the bed.

“Uhh, sure?” Nya spoke up as she stood and went to the door allowing Jay to go back to the bed and rest there. “What’s up?” She asked as she stood at the door.

“Is…everything alright with Vinny? We noticed he was missing and you also went off…did something happen?” Willow spoke up, Nya let out a sighed as she rubbed her temple and her expression softened.

“Yea…he just has a lot on his mind” Nya replied, she didn’t know Shancai and Willow knew about Vinnys’ relationship with Garmadon.

“Should we check on him?” Shancai asked.

“I…don’t think so…he really wants to be alone” Nya answered.

“We know about his relationship with Garmadon” Willow whispered just loud enough for Nya to hear, but not Jay. The water ninja looked surprised hearing that and looked back at Jay before turning back and exiting the room and closing the door slightly.

“He told you?” Nya aksed, as the two nodded, “I…don’t know if I should tell you…” she sighed.

“Please we’re begging you” Willow begged.

“I…fine” Nya sighed, “Garmadon…wants a break from their relationship and Vinny isn’t taking it well…” she confessed, causing Willow and Shancais’ eyes to widen.

“H-how was he when you checked on him?” Willow asked, concern etched on her face.

“He…looked like he’d been crying” The water ninja spoke quietly as she looked at the ground.

“He wishes to be left alone?” Shancai questioned, receiving a nod for Nya, “Would checking on him be fine?” He asked.

“Should be…from what I’ve seen he enjoys both your company, might be sleeping maybe” Nya answered.

“R-right…” Willow sighed, “Thanks for your help” she added as she smiled softly.

“No problem…if anything happens, please tell me if you can…and I’ll tell you whatever I can” Nya answered.

“We will, I swear” Willow spoke.

“Bye…” Nya spoke softly as she watched the two leave and wave. The water ninja sighed to herself and rubbed her temples before going back into the room.

Willow and Shancai began making their way to Vinnys’ room, “Well he’s definitely gonna be quiet” Willow spoke.

“As expected…he didn’t seem to expect this to happen” Shancai answered.

“Enji’s…taken a toll on him…” The nature elemental spoke her voice quieter than before, Shancai stopped in his tracks and let out a shaky sigh.

“I know…” He spoke as he stared at the ground, Willow put her hand on her brothers’ shoulder.

“I know it’s hard…” She spoke softly, “Vinny’s gonna find out sooner or later…if you don’t tell him Enji will” she added.

“How am I meant to tell him?” Shancai asked, distress in his voice, “How would he react when he finds out?” He added.

“Shanni…he’d understand…and plus this was when we were kids, you didn’t know what would happen” Willow spoke in an attempt to comfort her brother.

“I could’ve stopped it though” Shancai retorted.

“You and Enji were kids, dumb kids…as much as you hate Enji now you still have some care for him, because he was your friend” Willow spoke her voice more harsh but still caring, “You can’t change the past…” she spoke quieter.

“Don’t remind me…” Shancai mumbled before walking ahead, Willow sighed and went quiet. They walked the rest of the way in silence before reaching Vinnys’ room.

Willow gently knocked, “Vinny? You in there?” She asked, no answer, she knocked again and waited a while, “I’m gonna come in” she called our, before opening the door and looking around.

“Where is he?” Shancai asked, as he stared at the empty bed and empty bathroom.

“Maybe he went for a walk? We can ask a servant if they saw him” Willow suggested receiving a nod for her brother, “I’ll go one way you go the other” she spoke as she exited the room and closed the door.

“I’ll see if his friends have seen him” Shancai spoke as he walked one direction while Willow went the other.

As Willow walked near the exit to the garden, she saw a group of servants, “H-hey, sorry for bothering, but have you seen a man here?” She asked one.

“Uhh yes yes, he was staring at the garden” one spoke with brown hair.

“And someone we didn’t recognise spoke to him, she had bangs that covered her eyes” Another spoke with blonde hair spoke, Willow’s heart dropped.

“D-did he go in the garden?” Willow questioned.

“Yes, he’s been there for a while, is everything alright?” Another with black hair spoke.

“Y-yea…everything’s fine…” Willow replied, “C-can you make sure no goes in the garden at all for me?” She requested.

“Of course” they spoke in unison.

“Thanks you” Willow spoke shakily, before bolting off towards the direction her brother went, she went down hall after hall, before finally spotting her brother, with Kai, Lloyd, Zane and Pixal. “Shanni!” Willow called out as she ran towards her brother.

“What? Did something happen? Are you hurt?” Shan is asked with worry as he made sure his sister wasn’t hurt.

“I-I’m fine” Willow spoke as she began to catch her breathe.

“Then what happened? You look like you ran across the whole palace” Kai spoke.

“I-I think he went into Rushifa’s part of the forest!” The nature elemental blurted out to her brother, her face was red from the running, she was taking deep breathes and she looked scared really scared. As Shancai heard those words his heart dropped. “I-if he went in there h-he might die!” She added.

“Who’s Rushifa?” Lloyd asked.

“In short words a serpentine with a hypnotic voice and invisibility” Zane spoke, receiving a nod from Kai and Lloyd.

“Are you sure?” Shancai asked.

“Y-yes, I asked people a-and they saw someone they didn’t recognise t-talk to him a-an-and-“ Willow was hyperventilating and Shancai noticed this.

“Calm down…we’re gonna go check…” Shancai spoke softly as he attempted to comfort her.

“What’s going on?” A voice spoke as Wu, Garmadon and Cole entered the same hall as them.

“Vinny might be in danger…” Lloyd hesitantly spoke as he braced himself for his fathers’ reaction.

“What!?” Garmadon hissed, they may he having a relationship break, but just as he said he still loved him.

“He might’ve went into the part of the forest I told you all about” Willow spoke to Wu and Garmadon, “And if Rushifa gets her hands on him who knows what might happen” she added, as she allowed her brother to lead them all one way towards the garden.

“Are we all coming?” Cole asked.

“If you want” Shancai spoke, as he summoned his spear.

“I’m gonna go get Nya and Jay” Kai spoke up as he ran towards his sisters’ room in a different hall.

“If he has a scratch on him then so he-“ Garmadon grumbled.

“Calm down…he’s still upset from the your conversation before, seeing you overprotective might upset him more” Wu whispered the his brother.

Kai came back with Nya and Jay, “You’re sure he’s in there?” Nya immediately asked.

“Yes” Shancai spoke, as he went down the pathway into the forest. Willow was terrified.

“She’s relentless…might toy with him till she’s bored and kill him” Willow whispered to her brother.

“Don’t dwell on those thoughts…he’ll be fine…I’m sure” Shancai whispered comfortingly.

As they stopped at torn away vine and shrubs from darker side of the forest, Willows’ heart dropped, “There…we’re wolves too…” she spoke shakily as she observed the bites and tears of the vines.

“There’s no blood though? Meaning he couldn’t be hurt?” Jay spoke up.

“Yes…but he didn’t go back into the palace either…” Willow added as she controlled the wines to create a bigger opening.

“It reeks…” Kai muttered.

“That’s the smell of rotting bodies…” the nature elemental admitted, “If you see one don’t touch it” she added, as she entered.

“T-this Rushifa…is there anything else we should know?” Lloyd asked.

“She had a stinger at the end of her tail…how? I don’t know…but it’ll paralyse you and in rare cases kill you, her having the voice of a siren she can control animals too…more specifically the snakes” Willow answered as she remained on guard leading with ever brother.

“Wow…I wish I didn’t know that…” Jay whined.

“What are the chances he isn’t hurt?” Cole asked, receiving glares from everyone, “N-not badly hurt, maybe a scar or something…he’s a guy with a broken arm…he’s only weapon is a dagger that we don’t even know he has” Cole added.

“Best we don’t think about it, and make sure he comes out alive” Shancai spoke up.

“Uhh guys…” Kai spoke shakily as he picked up torn fabric off a jagged tree branch. “This is definitely new…” he added.

“At least we know he’s here” Pixal spoke, it was true at least they knew he was in the forest and not blindly walking.

This was gonna take some time…

“Is there a training grounds here?” Nya asked, Shancai nodded in response.

“We could use some training…fighting against someone we don’t know due to our new threat” Lloyd spoke.

“New threat?” Willow muttered to Vinny.

“Enji…” The cameraman whispered back, Willow made a ‘oh’ sign with her mouth and nodded.

“How about we finish eating then we can go?” Wu asked, receiving nods from the others.

“Where’s your mother?” Jay blurted out to Willow and Shancai, they both shrugged.

“I saw her earlier…but she was busy with something…” the nature elemental spoke, Vinny and Shancai exchange worried looks, wondering what was up with Deity.

They all finished eating and began making their way to the training grounds. When they went by Deitys’ room Vinny paused, he wanted to see her. “Everything alright?” Kai asked the cameraman noticing he stopped walking.

“Uh…yea, go on without me I’ll catch up, just gotta do something” Vinny answered receiving nods from the others as they began walking again, Willow and Shancai staring as him curiously, Vinny pointed to Deitys’ door and they both realised what he was doing and nodded, then walked off.

Once he was alone, he worked up the courage to gently knock on the closed door. He didn’t hear anything and waited a bit more, thankfully the door was opened and Deity stood there. She looked overworked…was that chest Enji took worrying her that much?

“Morning dear…” Deity spoke softly as she gave him a small smile, it was obviously forced and didn’t carry the same comfort of one true smile.

“Morning…” Vinny replied, “Sorry…for bothering you, I just wanted to check on you” he added, Deitys’ expression softened hearing that.

“I’m well dear, did you rest well?” She questioned.

“Yea…I wanted to thank you too, talking to you helped…” Vinny spoke to her, when he spoke to her, he felt like the weight of the world was lifted off his shoulders.

“It’s no problem dear…talking to you helped me as well” She answered, “Is everyone awake?” She added.

“Yep, we were going to the training grounds, Willow suggested Shancai spar with the others and he took up on the idea” Vinny replied.

“That’s good…” she sighed, “I checked up on you early this morning…you weren’t in your room, but then I went to Shancais’…I was surprised seeing you all bunched up together…” she chuckled.

“I wasn’t planning on it…me and him were up and we must’ve woke Willow up, but she came in and suggested a sleepover…it was really nice” Vinny answered, his expression softened at the thought.

“I also happened to check again and find Willow purring makeup on you two” Deity teased, causing Vinny to blush.

“Y-yea she did…but it was funny…” Vinny spoke through embarrassment.

“Best you be off, before you lose your way” she teased.

“R-right!” The cameraman laughed out as he looked back in the hallway, “I’ll see you later” he added, Deity waved goodbye and watched Vinny run off into the hallway and try to catch up with the others.

Vinny was out of breath as he finally made it back to the others, “Look who decided to grace up with his presence” Kai teased as he allowed Vinny to lean against him and catch his breath. Garmadon looked at the cameraman and sighed, he wanted to talk…but how…?

“Those…” Vinny panted as he pointed to the halls, “Are some long ass hallways” he breathed heavily.

“That’s why you walk in them” Shancai spoke as he summoned his spear and gently bonked Vinnys’ head.

“I had to catch up!” The cameraman answered, “And I was not going to talk to someone to find you all!” He added.

“Idiot” Nya teased, as they all exited the palace into a large area.

“Here we are!” Willow spoke joyfully as she pointed to the area, it had archery targets, hay targets and all types of training equipment.

“Sometimes I forget we’re in a huge kingdom…” Cole spoke as he stared into the large area. They went down the stairs and designated one area to their training.

“Shall we warm up?” Zane questioned.

“Stretch” Shancai spoke, “You two may not pull a muscle” he pointed to Zane and Pixal “but they will” he added as he pointed to the rest who are not nindroids. “You’re not fighting I take it?” He asked Vinny.

“I would pull a muscle with or without stretching” Vinny chuckled, and sat down where Shancai pointed. Wu and Garmadon sat on the side.

“Shanni! Take off your armour, you’re sparring!” Willow begged her brother, Shancai rolled his eyes, before taking off his top armour piece, he was wearing a black compression shirt underneath. Goddamn did he have muscles.

“I do not want to fight him…” Jay muttered to Kai and Cole.

“Agreed…” Kai and Cole spoke in agreement, Shancai rested his armour piece next to Vinny, who just stared at it and tried poking it…never again…that’s heavy…

“How about we just do weapons first?! Then we can have on with you all using your powers!” Vinny suggested.

“That’s wise” Zane spoke.

“Very well” Shancai answered as his eyes scanned his spear for any damages, the other ninja nodded in agreement.

As the ninja finished stretching and warming up, they debated who was sparring Shancai first, “I say Jay goes first” Kai suggested.

“W-what why me?!” Jay answered, clearly offended.

“Cause if you can beat him we can” Cole teased, he was just playing along with Kais’ teases.

“He won’t kill you!” Willow called out from next to Vinny in an attempt to comfort them, “Not sure about hurting though!” She added, she wanted to mess with them.

“He’ll hurt them?” Vinny asked her.

“Nah, I’m just messin’ with em’”Willow answered, causing the cameraman to snicker. “How about you all go at it?!” She called out.

“What?” Lloyd asked curiously.

“You all attack him with weapons!” She answered.

“A-are you sure? Maybe that’s too much” Nya questioned.

“What’s that meant to mean?” Shancai questioned, to him it sounded like he was being underestimated.

“N-nothing!” Nya spoke immediately.

“Sure…we can do it…?” Lloyd replied, causing Willow to smile happily.

“You sure this is good?” Vinny asked.

“I know my brother and his limits…and he knows them too” Willow replied to Vinny.

They all positioned themselves, Shancai in the middle surrounded by the others, Vinny, Willow, Garmadon and Pixal all sitting out. Kai attacked first, lunging forward with a sword, the prince dodged with ease, moving with grace. He used the blunt end of his spear to knock the others away.

As Jay attacked with nunchucks Shancai used the spear head to lodge it in the chains of the nunchucks and pull it out of Jays’ hands throwing it to the side. “Cocky” the prince spoke as Kai attacked again, “Slow” he spoke to Cole, who was using a scythe, “Aggressive” he said to Nya, who growled at him.

“I’ll show you aggressive…” Nya grumbled, Cole managed to grab Shancai from behind using the spear to keep his arms back, while Lloyd put a sword to his neck, they seemed to have let their guard down slightly.

Shancai jumped off the ground and used Zanes’ chest for power as he knocked off it, freeing his arms from Coles’ grip and landing behind him, “Save your celebrations till after all escapes are blocked” the prince spoke as he knocked Jay to the ground and held the spear to his throat.

“Geez okay!” Jay spoke with fear, he didn’t like this, Shancai sighed and got up.

“You spend too much time calculating every possible outcome, remember you don’t know your opponent you’ve never fought me before” Shancai spoke as he used his spear to point to Zane.

“I like him…” Wu muttered to Garmadon, Wu clearly liked his teaching style and how he critiqued their flaws.

“You put too much power in your hits and that slows you down” Shancai spoke as he pointed to Cole, “Too confident in yourself…you don’t know your limits” points to Kai.

“He didn’t kill them…but he killed something” Vinny muttered to Willow who laughed.

“Aggressive, something spoken that you dislike you’re triggered” Shancai spoke and pointed to Nya, “And you’re not confident enough” points to Lloyd.

“Geez…harsh much” Kai spoke, with fake offence.

As Shancai began helping better their techniques Wu got up and began helping as well, they did get along quite well. Pixal joined Zane in seeing how she can better her techniques.

“Gonna go see what he says about me” Willow spoke to Vinny as she got up and went to her brother Vinny nodded. Now it was just Garmadon and Vinny sitting out.

The cameraman tried to ignore Garmadons’ presence and focus on what Shancai was doing, but it failed…because Garmadon sat next to him, “Hey…” the oni spoke quietly.

“Hey…” Vinny replied bluntly, he didn’t want to talk, but he missed him.

“I…need to talk about something…” Garmadon mumbled, his voice becoming quieter and sadder.

“If it’s about my health then no we won’t talk about it…” Vinny sighed as he looked at the ground.

“It…isn’t…” The oni whispered, Vinny looked at him curiously…what could it be about…?

“Alright…I’m listening…” the cameraman sighed.

“I understand…the past few days haven’t been the best for both of us…” Garmadon began, Vinny nodded in following, “I love you…I really do…” he added quietly, the cameraman looked at him curiously…where was this going…?

“What’s wrong…?” Vinny asked, he was impatient, he was scared, nervous and terrified…

“A break…” Garmadon confessed quietly, Vinnys’ heart dropped.

“A-a break? What’s that meant to mean?” The cameraman asked, he needed to make sure it wasn’t what he thought it would be…

“We need a break Vinny…” Garmadon repeated as he stared at the ground, he couldn’t bring himself to look at Vinny.

Vinnys’ heart dropped heading those words, his mind just turned off, “I-is it me…?” He managed to whisper out.

Garmadon immediately panicked seeing Vinnys’ reaction, “N-no…it’s not…we just need…some space from each other, you need space…” Garmadon answered, as he looked at Vinny.

“R-right…just a break…” Vinny breathed out sharply.

“I…I still love you…I do, though having a relationship at the moment isn’t working for us…” Garmadon confessed, it clearly pained him to say all this.

Vinny just nodded, he couldn’t speak, he couldn’t think, he couldn’t move…what was happening…?

“Are you a-“ Garmadon cut himself off as Vinny got up and walked away. He really didn’t know what he was doing…he wanted to keep Vinny safe…but nothing was working…

Vinnys’ mind and body worked in auto pilot as it just walked back inside the palace. Nya, Wu, and Lloyd noticed this and turned their attention to Garmadon, who was looking at the ground rubbing his temples and stroking a hand through his hand.

Vinny just kept walking and walking…where was he going…? No idea…did he want to know? No…all he knew was that his life just collapsed in the span of 3 minutes…

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 65

As they walked and walked they eventually followed the nice pathway, “How far is it?” Pixal questioned.

“Just down this path, then we’re in the palace gardens” Willow replied happily as she walked down, vines that protected pathway were retreated by Willow as she kept walking.

As the pathway came to an end they found themselves in an large open area, bushes nicely trimmed into stars, roses, violets and all types of flowers were bloomed around.

Their attention was stolen from the garden as a staircase led up to presumably the entrance to the palace. “Is this the kingdom?” Wu asked, receiving a nod from Willow as he went up the staircase followed by the others.

“Fascinating” Zane spoke as he stared at the interior, they continued to walk, but stopped when they saw a wall, with colourful glass mosaic art, Willow realised they stopped and looked back at them.

“Something wrong?” She questioned.

“Who’s in this?” Wu asked.

“That’s my mum, me and my brother…it’s old” Willow replied, as a small smile appeared on her face as she looked at the mosaic. It was a woman holding two babies.

“It’s nice” Garmadon spoke as he looked at it, before they began walking again.

“It is” Willow replied, joy tainting her voice as she went down a hallway.

She entered a room and was a bit surprised when she saw her mother and brother with a bunch of other people in the room. “Are these your friends?” Willow asked, receiving nods from Zane and Wu. The ninja let out a sigh of relief as they saw Wu and the others enter.

They all bunched together Vinny stayed next to Shancai, “Introductions would be nice, I’ll start I’m Willow” Willow spoke.

“Oh right! I’m Lloyd that’s Kai, Jay, Nya, Cole, and Vinny” Lloyd spoke to Willow as he pointed to each of them, before turning to Shancai. “That’s Garmadon, my dad, Master Wu, my uncle and Zane and Pixal” he added, receiving a nod.

“This is Shancai, my brother I was telling you about” Willow spoke to Wu and the others she was with, they nodded as they studied Shancai’s unique appearance before Garmadons’ eyes landed on Vinnys’ arm and his eyes widened.

“And this is our mother” the nature elemental spoke happily as she pointed to her mother on the ground who gave them a soft smile.

“What happened to his arm?” Garmadon questioned Lloyd quietly, discreetly pointing to Vinnys’ arm.

“We fell out from the sky” Lloyd replied bluntly, receiving a worried look from his father. “It isn’t bothering that much, he might’ve fractured it” he added, receiving a nod and sigh from the oni.

“An explanation would be nice…” Deity spoke, her voice soft and sweet like honey as she stood up from the ground, the scrolls scattered around immediately rolling up and being placed neatly on a shelf.

Their jaws dropped…she was tall…taller than Riad taller than fucking Garmadon. She would be shorter than Garmadon with 4 arms though, but she was still tall…everyone was surprised other than Willow and Shancai, seemingly used to their mothers’ height.

“You’re tall…” Jay spoke bluntly, causing Deity to chuckle slightly. No one could really protest with his statement. She was at least 6’8 to 7’0.

“I get that quite a lot” Deity spoke softly before she settled down on a large flower, Willow formed behind her. “Now then…what can I do for you?” She questioned.

“I-uhh right…” Lloyd spoke as he stuttered out a bunch o incoherent words, trying to recover from this.

“They need help getting back home” Shancai spoke, Lloyd just nodded a little relieved he didn’t have to handle the embarrassment of stuttering more.

“Where is this home?” Deity questioned.

“Ninjago, you’re highness” Nya spoke, she didn’t know what to call Deity, she was the empress after all.

“Please call me Deity dears…Ninjago you say…I’ve been there before, though at the moment my magic ability is a little limited at the moment, I can get you home just not yet” Deity spoke.

“We don’t wish to strain your abilities” Wu spoke, receiving a soft smile from Deity.

“It might take me a week or so” Deity spoke.

“That’s alright, we’re just thankful for your aid” Wu spoke, his voice relieved they were able to get back home.

“In your time being here, you’ll be treated as guests, any questions you have, you are free to ask” Deity spoke.

“W-we wouldn’t want to intrude” Vinny spoke up, receiving a sigh from Shancai.

“Not necessarily intruding anymore, if you’re considered guests” Shancai spoke.

“Well then it’s settled, Shancai and Willow can show you to your rooms, and if you’re hungry you may ask anyone here, they’ll assist you” Deity spoke.

The group thanked her and they were sent off with the siblings to be taken to their rooms. Vinny was practically stuck to Shancais’ side, there was something comforting about him. Sure he looked cold and intimidating, but he seemed to know about Enji and Rida and despised them.

“Soooo, is Shancai older?” Kai asked.

“Hah! Nope, we’re twins and I’m a minute older!” Willow boasted smugly, Shancai rolled his eyes.

“Older than me, but still act like a child” Shancai spoke, it was clear who was more mature.

“If you’re mother’s that tall why aren’t you?” Jay asked Willow.

“I-I’m not that short!” Willow defended herself, as her face flushed in embarrassment.

“Yes you are” Shancai muttered as he kept walking, Willow just pouted.

One by one, they were given rooms, now it was just Vinny and Garmadon that needed one.

“You okay…?” Garmadon asked Vinny.

“Yea…” the cameraman replied, Willow and Shancai let the two walk as they went ahead.

“There’s something going on between them” Willow whispered to Shancai.

“They’re just talking?” Shancai spoke with confusion.

“My love meter is tingling, they’re definitely dating” the nature elemental spoke once more, causing her brother to sigh.

Garmadon and Vinny asked each other a bunch of questions, making sure they were safe and unharmed.

“Do you two want to share a room?” Willow eventually asked the two, causing Shancai to rub his temples in annoyance.

“N-no thanks…” Vinny spoke as he looked away awkwardly.

“We’d prefer to be separated” Garmadon added, receiving a nod from the two siblings.

Eventually Garmadon was given a room, “I’m staying for the night, the Grove can last one night without me” Willow spoke.

“Mother would be happy to hear that” Shancai spoke, “Now then, I would like a truthful answer from you” he added as he looked a Vinny, the cameraman took a sharp breathe.

“Did I miss something?” Willow asked with confusion.

“He has Enjis’ dagger for some reason” Shancai replied plainly.

“Really? How’d you get that buddy?” Willow asked worriedly.

“I won’t inform your friends, but I could recognise that dagger in a row of a thousand copies” Shancai spoke.

“Geez, bragging much” Willow spoke, “But really bud, how’d you get it?” She asked, Vinny was really nervous.

“We’re not working with them, quite the opposite” Shancai spoke, causing the cameraman to look at him curiously.

“Enji and Rida are the kingdoms number 1 enemies…more specifically Enji, he attacks most, Rida plans” Willow sighed, and Shancai nodded to confirm it.

“Listen…whatever they want with clearly will affect the kingdom in some way…we just need you to tell us anything they do” Shancai spoke, as he put a comforting hand on Vinnys’ shoulder.

“I…they both showed up one night…Rida was messing with my dreams, I went to the bathroom and Enji, he used some illusions to transform into me and haunt me in the mirror, one time he stabbed my hand and foot and he keeps threatening on hurting my friends” Vinny confessed, slightly hysterical.

“They play mind games on you…have they done anything else?” Shancai asked, Willow had a worried expression.

“Y-yea…yesterday, Enji went on a mission, he got some chest from there, though Lloyd and the others got a key from there…” Vinny replied, “And well…he came to me at night and made me get the key for him…” He added, guilt in his voice.

“A chest? I can ask mum if she knows anything about that” Willow spoke.

“Strange…those two have never involved themselves with others unless they didn’t have a plan…Enji would, but not Rida, he’s too cautious” Shancai spoke.

“That day as well, I went out and stayed alone, Rida hanged out with me saying how Enji was getting something that was rightfully his…” Vinny added.

“Wow, this is weird…they definitely are planning something…” Willow sighed receiving a nod from her brother.

“Enjoy stabbed you with the dagger?” Shancai questioned.

“Yea, then another time he was about to hurt me again, but Rida came, he helped me bandage my hand then gave me the dagger” Vinny replied.

“Willow, go tell mother…” Shancai spoke, Willow nodded and ran off, “If there’s anything else I should know then tell me” he added as he looked at Vinny bending his knees to be closer to Vinnys’ height.

“I-I will…I swear…” The cameraman replied, his voice breaking.

Shancai opened a bedroom door for Vinny letting him look in it, his voice hitched as he looked at the mirror, “He can’t get in through the mirrors, I made sure of it” Shancai spoke, causing Vinny to let out a breathe he didn’t even know he was holding.

“My room’s next to yours and Willow’s next to mine…if anything happens come to us or my mother” the prince spoke, Vinny just nodded and watched Shancai walk away.

The cameraman sighed and went in the room, closing the door behind him before dropping on the bed.

Was he meant to trust these people…?

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)Part 64

They all just followed Willow, she occasionally brought down tree branches and ate fruit from them. Her was a white and silver like colour with black tips.

“The Ivory Kingdom has never been mentioned in any of my scrolls, it sounds a lot like Shintaro” Wu spoke, as he broke the deafening silence.

“Shintaro? I think I’ve heard that before…but the Ivory Kingdom’s is in it:s own secluded area, my mum’s said it’s been a secret place for years” Willow replied as she looked back at them.

“Your mother…she sounds like an important woman, and you said she could get us back, does she possess of any powers?” Garmadon questioned, he did seem quite curious about this place.

“She’s amazing! Power wise she does magic, and it’s where me and my brother got our eyes and the mark” Willow replied happily, she seemed to love her mother a lot.

“Magic? Dark magic?” Zane questioned.

“No silly! Normal magic, she doesn’t do anything bad unless it’s for a good reason” Willow laughed.

“What’s her and your brother’s name?” Pixal questioned.

“My brother’s Shancai while my mum is Deity” The nature elemental replied as they all continued walking.

Wu and Garmadon were exchanging thoughts through their expressions, still silently talking about the magic part.

A shiver ran down their back as they passed a darker area of the forest…vines blocking the entrance…dead shrubs and trees while a repulsive smell caused slight nausea. It was like night and day between the sides…the lush and lively side compared to the dark, and rotten side.

“What’s…there?” Wu hesitantly asked as he pointed to the area, Willow’s expression hardened as she stopped walking and stared into the dark side. Vines began to cover more of the entrance as she let out a shaky breathe. The change in her behaviour created uneasiness in the others.

“That…is where my enemy lives…” Willow eventually replied, her lively and friendly expression gone replaced with a cold, and fearful expression.

“Your enemy? What’s this enemy like?” Garmadon questioned.

“A snake…part anacondrai and hypnobrai…but she’s blind so can’t really use hypnotism” Willow confessed, her voice feigned with malice and annoyance for this snake.

The rest of the group looked surprised, anacondrai and hypnobrai…that’s a dangerous combo…”This snake…is there anything else important about her?” Zane spoke.

“She has the voice of a siren…listening to it is basically just as worse as a hypnobrai…” She grumbled, “Blind as a bat…her name’s Rushifa…”

“She sounds…interesting…” Pixal spoke.

“But don’t worry! All you have to do is stay out of that area and cover your ears if you here singing…she will eat you” Willow spoke a little awkwardly.

“She doesn’t come out from there?” Wu questioned.

“Not really…she stays in the forest that’s for sure, but there’s idiots so she gets a free meal…” Willow spoke before she began walking again, expecting the others to follow. The others did follow and quite quickly as well.

“I don’t know how I feel about this place…” Garmadon whispered to Wu.

“Me neither…on one hand it seems nice and then there’s places like that…” Wu responded.

“Let’s just hope the others landed somewhere safer than us…” the oni sighed as he thought about Vinny.

“Agreed…I’m sure Vinny’s safe, the others have taken quite a liking to him” Wu spoke in an attempt to comfort his brother. It was true though, the ninja really did like Vinny, who could blame them?

(With Vinny and the rest of the Ninja)

As Vinny trudged next to Shancai, occasionally looking back at the others, who were staring at him worriedly wanting to pull him away from the man, but didn’t. Shancai seemed like a strong person, one that they didn’t know the full potential of yet.

“I’ll have a look at your arm at the palace” Shancai spoke to Vinny, there was no emotion in it, he seemed good at remaining stoic. The cameraman just nodded, he seemed a little relieved to have his arm taken care of.

“Lloyd tell me you have a bad feeling about this guy…because if you had a bad feeling about Vania and not him then there’s something up with you” Cole shouted in a whispered.

“Geez okay, I really don’t like him…” Lloyd confessed quietly.

“He scares me…” Jay whispered.

“He looks…very unique…in a good way” Nya spoke, “But what does he want with Vinny?” She added.

“How are we meant to know? Vinny happens to have the worst luck ever…” Kai sighed, looking at the cameraman with sympathy.

“Which is sad cause he’s a great guy…” Cole chimed in, receiving nods from the others.

They continued walking down a path before entering two large gates…made out of an interesting stone. “Woah…” Vinny spoke quietly as he stared at the gates that towered over them.

A man looked over the gates, “You’re back early Shancai!” The man spoke from above as the gates began to open.

“There’s some people that need to see my mother” Shancai plainly replied as he walked through the gates followed by the others.

“Must be important if you decided to accompany them” Another man spoke from above the gates as well, Shancai just nodded before he continued walking.

They walked through an area which seemed to be the slums, young kids and elderly people waved towards Shancai, and he gave them a warm smile and nod, the only emotion he seemed to show so far.

“So he can show emotion…” Jay muttered, receiving a gentle hit on the head from Nya.

Vinny seemed surprised as they walked through most likely the markets, stalls upon stalls stood next to each other as people held out their merchandise while buyers attempted to bargain with the owners.

Everyone seemed to have some jewels with them, whether it be diamonds, emeralds, sapphires or rubies, everyone in the market seemed to have one…though there was something that was used to buy merchandise…is was a red gem…not quite a ruby. But it was a currency, and it seemed familiar reminding Vinny of the gems on Shancais’ spear.

The cameraman was a bit surprised as he bumped into Shancai’s arm which was in front of him, stopping him from walking. Vinny was going to question him before he saw a bunch of kids run by with what seemed to be a new kite.

“This place is amazing…” Cole spoke happily as he laid his eyes on a food stall, only then did he realise how fucking hungry he was, so did the others. Especially Vinny, he regretted skipping breakfast this morning.

“Once we get to the palace and inform my mother of your predicament, I’ll have some food prepared” Shancai spoke as he continued walking.

“A-are you sure? We couldn’t possibly, it’s nice enough you’re helping us” Lloyd spoke, as Cole, Jay and Kai glared at him, they really didn’t want Lloyd ruin their chances of food.

“It isn’t necessarily a problem” Shancai spoke, “I am unaware if my mother can even help you get back, though the palace would be open for you all to rest” he added.

“T-thanks…” They all spoke.

Shancai reached a palace…and hell was it pretty…large black tinted windows occasionally placed, multiple guards protecting the place and as they entered long hallways, with white and red curtains draped across the windows while the same colour palette for the carpets. Rooms upon rooms, as what seemed like servants chattered happily as they worked.

“This place is huge…” Kai spoke in amazement, his voice echoing in the halls.

Vinny was just as amazed and occasionally looked up at Shancai, he would sometimes receive a nod of acknowledgment before his eyes flicked back down to Vinnys’ arm.

“Does it hurt?” Shancai questioned Vinny as they walked.

“A little…only when I move it, I can’t really straighten it without pain…” The cameraman responded.

“Most likely a fracture then, keep it still just incase, if it snaps then it’ll be much worse” Shancai responded, receiving a nod from Vinny.

As they entered a room…a woman…sitting on the ground…scrolls thrown across the floor as she read over things. She was quite beautiful…floor long white hair that flowed down before fading away at the ends, black scleras and silver irises just like her son, she had the Yang sign on her right cheek, while she worse a robe with clouds and stars on the end of it as her hair covered her body.

“Mother…”Shancai spoke softly, affection and worry tainting his voice as he bowed down.
