yall im so sorry i am not used to animating people BUT I SPENT A WEEK ON THIS SO IM AT LEAST A LITTLE PROUD OF HOW IT TURNED OUT
guess whos been doing elemental dragons again...... its been like a year since the last time i did it so i thought itd be fun to try again with a new rendering style from my digital painting class (ILL ACTUALLY DO THEM ALL THIS TIME I PROMISE)
plasma as if i haven't been completely obsessed with it for weeks
i finished my designs a couple days ago and forgot to put it up here whoopsies i promise ill put stuff here more often i have some neat stuff coming

yall i was high off my ass last night and did NOT REALIZE i posted the wrong version of the designs..
i had remade the cole one because i did not like it, although now im curious to see which one people like better..
i remade and finished the og four ninjago designs, im really curious what people think so any and all comments and pointers and all are very welcome. i do not really know how to draw people so this is new ground for me :)
after a facial structure study week in life drawing i took the chance to play with ninjago designs, im not TOTALLY sure how i feel about these but i deemed them good enough to post. i have the rest in the works but i wanted to see what the public thought

ive said this so many times but one of my favorite parts about kai is despite his trauma, when he gives, it doesnt come with strings. hes not expecting anything from anyone- when he gives, he does so without ulterior motives. i think its so important to realize that kai understands the value of love and decides to share his love, share what he holds in his heart (that fact that he chooses to hold love in his heart despite everything is beautiful itself), with the world, despite the world not returning it to him.
he loved his parents yet again so effortlessly, and he has always loved his family, nya, lloyd, jay, cole, zane, pixal, wu profusely.

honestly if kai had a main villain he had to defeat, i think he should ‘defeat’ them with love.
think about it: it would be so on par with kai’s character, demonstrating kai’s courage to defeat an enemy by showing them the value of others, the fact that loving itself is something so courageous
i think that it would show kai in a true light, because we all know he isnt actually cocky or rude as ninjago potrays him sometimes
honestly it would be so cute to see kai extending a hand to his ‘villian’ and helping them up, and embracing them bc that is literally what kai would do.
ninjago missed so many opportunities with kai and it makes me so sad sometimes
in season 16 in finale episodes the scene where skylor was making noodles for people in the newspaper warehouse. kai was cheering everyone up and singing and passing out noodles and it made me so happy. like look at him. look at our fire ninja. he is so loving. i love kai so much

the worst parts were probably
---the major plot holes (like hello?? why werent maya and ray there before? why was the prophecy on a piece of origami paper? why didnt lloyd embrace his oni form?? wasnt the entire point to embrace it?? it coudlve been so much better if lloyd learned to love all parts of him)
---furthermore, the relationship between kai and skylor seemed soooo forced,
-----and i am not ready AT ALL to forgive harumi and let lloyd and them be a ‘thing’ like hellO??? i understand harumi is trying but she lied to lloyd BILLIONS of times thats just downright toxic.
-----not to mention we were ROBBED of RGB scenes. like hello?? sibling relations are just as important as romance?? why is ninjago getting rid of the best interactions (RGB) in the entire show??
