Voltron x atla au (2/3)
Keith is some kind of freedom fighting fire bender in this au and the avatar has been absent for a while so he has this grudge against him. At least that’s what I thought when I drew this, I still don’t exactly know the world building, wether this takes place in the future or some other entirely different alternate reality from the original avatar.

Voltron: Psychopomp! Keith, Voltron’s most active frontline fighter. he’s still as willing to throw himself into danger now as he was when he was younger, but he’s certainly more discerning of when the situation calls for it. Instead, he’s learned to channel his more anxious active energy into helping with refugee efforts, being the labour to Hunk’s genius in building and planning cities to accomodate the displaced of the war. He’s settled down and knows how to articulate his feelings better than he used to, though he still relies of non-verbal forms of help (but his family knows exactly what he means). Pidge tends to liken him to a feral street cat that’s mellowed out with age and is more than content to nap all day, so long as you don’t mess with him or his family.

Keith already doesn't want anything to do with him ever since coming back from that space whale; the last thing Lance needs on top of his crumbling self-worth and shaky standing in the team is a rejection that shatters his heart in pieces, too. But now, Lance got himself in a bit of a pickle. Which is fine, because Lance has a plan to get out of it! A wonderful, brilliant, masterful, completely fool-proof plan. His team won't look at him like he's more incompetent than they already do, he won't have to spend the rest of his life trapped on some alien planet, and Keith will never find out just how head over heels he is for him. It's a win-win-win situation. Of course, with Keith, things are never quite so simple, and Lance's plan soon causes a domino effect that changes the entire course of his life. Or: Maybe Lance should have been a little more specific when he said he'd do anything to get home. Because now... "You must bestow a kiss on the one your soul most desires." ...Fuck.
So I revived this wip I had for so long cause it actually fits one of the scenes for a fic I loveeeeeeed to read so now it’s fanart muahah

These fics were genuinely so. What the fuck. Oh my god. I came into it not expecting too much and I came out of it like ahjhsihfs. I’m so so upset that it isn’t finished, that too right before the last chapter. There are so, so many good aspects to this fic. First off: the plot and its delivery. The idea of switching places with a past version of yourself is not an uncommon plotline. However, having the story be split into two stories following both the past and the present with each chapter parallelling each other was flawlessly executed. I would read one chapter where they would do xyz which affected the past, and then be so excited to see what happens next, and then be even more excited that I could simply read how it happened in the past. It felt like I was time itself, reading through parts of these characters' lives non-linearly. The KL chemistry is beautiful, the plot is beautiful, I sincerely love it.

To add on to this I feel like he's a combo of will try to actually fix it strategically first but absolutely will resort to button smashing or flat out hitting stuff and somehow will fix the thing much to everyone's surprise (especially if it's tech. Pidge never knows how he does it and it drives her up a wall cause it never works when she does it XD)
Keith’s idea of fixing broken tech is quite literally just hitting it and hoping that works.
