Okay but you know how EVERYTHING in MH happened 400 years ago? Stoker has been in charge of the vampires for 400 years and the vampire’s heart is missing. Lizzie left before Draculaura did which means Val is for SURE in Romania when she flees.

What if Stoker sent him out to find the Vampire Heart? After all who better than the immensely powerful emotional vampire he has wedged beneath his thumb?

And Val is just that guy and ended up near Monster High, unknowingly finding the location of the Heart in Robecca

Because he can’t get rid of stoker’s control no matter how hard he tries or how far he goes

Despite both of them growing up on islands, Valentine nor Spelldon can swim

Spelldon claims it’s because he’ll melt, but he isn’t entirely sure and isn’t willing to try

Valentine doesn’t want to ruin his hair

Valentine and Spelldon are both pretty, but:

Kieran is pretty like a thunderstorm. He’s like the flash of light before the low roll of thunder. Like the trees dancing a tango while diamonds fall as rain.

Spelldon is pretty like light dancing on gold. Like the glare in your eye that blinds you for a moment, but leaves you in so much awe that you can’t bother being mad.

Spelldon speaks Ancient Greek with his family and one day he’s on the speaker phone with his mother. She asks him about Kieran, and Spells goes “I’ll ask”

Before he can even open his mouth, Kieran answers the question in perfect Ancient Greek because he’s a NERD and either 1) secretly learned it for Spelldon, or 2) knew it all along

Valentine sleeping hanging from the rafters and Spelldon just pushing him aside like one of those beaded curtain things

When you’re looking for an open space in your note pad and find:

“…like a wicked form of Eros, not because Kieran was evil, but because in spite of all of Spelldon’s yearning, he would never be Psyche.”

Like???

(The general context is from a [probably] scrapped fanfic idea, when Pegasus is behind Kieran so it looks like he has wings)

Spelldon turns Valentine into an animal

Valentine turns himself into a bat, then back into a human to get out of it

Spelldon turns him into a slightly more insulting animal

When you write so much fanfiction over winter break you might have carpal tunnel

Best part is none of it is remotely close to being done

Valentine calling Spelldon sunshine in a “you are the light of my life” way and a “you hold my life in your hands and if you chose to destroy it, I’d let you” way

Spelldon and Kieran having children galatea style, where they make the kids out of clay or like dirt (because neither one of them is good enough at sculpting for marble) in the backyard and Aphrodite is just like “oh my god them again” and makes it come to life

I love how the Kieran Valentine and specifically the Love Spell (Kieran x Spelldon) fandom has flourished in the past few years

Like I remember like 3 years ago looking on AO3 for fanfics and there were two. Only two fanfics, and one of them was in Spanish, and once I finished the English one, i went and put the Spanish one through an online translator so that I could read about kieran Valentine and his never-debuted witch crush

And now, as of December 26th, 2023, at 6 PM Eastern Standard, there are 27. More than 2 dozen. If you read one chapter of each a day, it would take you (yes I did the math) 89 days. 3 months.

Which is 1012% higher than when I started writing

That’s insane. Just in 3 years there’s been so much growth and it’s such a nice little niche

Valentine being super excited to get to speak Latin again during the Renaissance.

Valentine struggling to correct everyone about obscure antiquity facts during the Renaissance.

Kieran Valentine messing up era fashion and mixing them, or wearing something entirely wrong or outdated

One day, he wears a line of red lipstick down the center of his lips (because CA’s made him think it was acceptable). Spelldon has to be the bearer of bad news that no, it wasn’t a current trend, and no, people weren’t staring because they were into him

Kieran had been so disappointed (“what do you mean? You should’ve seen how much business this got me during the tang dynasty!”)

Valentines real accent is definitely a MESS

He’s been everywhere a million times, and every time, the language is different. He definitely merges them and his real accent picked up traces of nearly everywhere he’s been. He uses the southern one often (even when he doesn’t need to) just because it’s easier for everyone else

The real one comes out when he’s tired, or cranky (which is quite often), or when he’s talking too fast, or not paying enough attention to it to fix it

Spelldon loves it. He loves the stories it tells of places he was never allowed to go. Of eras and cities and empires he missed out on

I don’t know the exact timeline of the movies or how the comics fit in with them, BUT

if Spelldon offered to “keep [Val] up on the groanings” around monster high, would he know about the events of certain movies/other comics? Does he know about what Lilith did? Or Kala?

Did he know about Whisp before they met? Did he already know what she did and let her say her piece anyway?

I want G3 Kieran Valentine to have an Irish accent and use Irish slang nobody else understands

If Val comes back in the 3rd MH movie I’d love to see him working for the Grim Reaper as like a bounty/head hunter in place of him being a heart-seeking emotional vampire (because that’d be a little complicated to explain and create lore/rules around—especially if he’s the only one)

Like Kieran Valentine (maybe still being Laura’s ex) being a head hunter indebted to Death somehow and working with him to find Frankie

Him fighting the Prince Regent of the Salem Coven, Ellis Ghould (aka Spelldon) 👀

Since I was embarrassingly wrong about Ellis being Valentine, I’LL SAY HES G3 SPELLDON INSTEAD

Spelldon, Casta, and Circe (as we know them wouldn't really work in g3 for a few reasons:

1) Circe is a goddess and g3 witches are human

2) casta wouldn't be a loved performer or known by the monsters because she'd be a human witch

3) their names are CASTA, SPELLDON, and CIRCE. Like that would not work they'd be bullied so hard a like what do you mean your teenage son living in the human world going to high school is named spelldon?

BUT Ellis works in place of Spelldon

He's the son of the queen of an extremely powerful and old witch coven, which could work in place of the goddess of witchcraft

GIVE ELLIS HIS VALENTINE PLEASE

Kieran “if I gave up on being pretty I wouldn’t know how to be alive” Valentine finding his first friend and learning how to be an actual person

He would take it so seriously, like kneeling-on-the-ground-for-measurements and meticulously-decorating (he would love the decorating part) and extravagant-recipes seriously. He gets so into it and plans forever and it’ll all be amazing

I have a headcanon for Spelldon.

Don (I nicknamed him that) speaks Italian as well as Greek (he and Casta are half Italian)

That’s so cute! I love that. I think he’d be able to speak Ancient and modern Greek, too, but he uses Ancient Greek more because of his family.

He thinks in Ancient Greek because he grew up speaking it on Aeaea. He talks to himself in Ancient Greek, he counts in Ancient Greek, etc. Val learns it for him.

I never really thought about the Italian thing but it makes a bunch of sense (especially since people think Aeaea is in/near the Italian coastline). Maybe his father is an Italian sailor.

There is no way Valentine is taller than like 5”7” absolutely not

He wears the tallest shoes he can find so he has a small little collection of platform boots and heels, so when he is in public he looks taller. But he takes them off at home and walks around in slippers and he loses like 6 inches in height

Spelldon definitely had to do a double take when he first met him. At school, Val was a little taller, but one time he forgot something and Spells brought it to his house. When Kieran opened the door and his head barely reaches Spell’s ears

Valentine would be the kind of person to see rafters and immediately turn into a bat to sit on the rafters. He cannot resist he just has to

Spelldon has found him sleeping or reading or just sitting in their ceiling too many times to count

Kieran Valentine needs his glasses and just doesn’t wear them because he doesn’t like how he looks in them. They aren’t the “image” he wants

But he uses them in private. Only when he’s sure nobody will see him does he put them on. Spelldon has gotten close to catching him many times, but Valentine can always hear him coming. He recognizes his footsteps.

Eventually he stops trying to be “cool” to impress Spelldon, and stops taking them off when he hears him coming. Spelldon stopped dead in his tracks when he saw them.

Valentine’s Achilles heel is pet names but like married couple pet names like darling, love, dear, angel, stuff like that, he would just melt

Since Circe was out on Aeaea for killing her husband I think she would be very critical about her children’s partners

Like she would try to matchmake and she wouldn’t care so much if she didn’t like the person. She would only care if they worked well with her kids.
