Some Deltarune art I made a while ago that I thought of because the new chapters come out on my birthday!
This was made when I got my friend to play it and they thought it's be cool to fight Jevil (this was also one of the few times i've drawn hands so they look icky)

Gender: Male.
Age: 19 years old.
Height: 1.75 m.
Kris has a complicated reputation, he is known for being a powerful, intelligent and wealthy duke, the only member of his house Heronaor, with great influence in royalty so he has many people around him whenever the other nobles see the opportunity to approach, but he is also known for his "strange" closeness with Princess Chara and rumors of having murdered his parents when this was a child to gain the power of his riches, many think it is strange and most likely the rumors are true, but they turn a blind eye for his money. He was raised by his servants and after the death of his parents he joined the Royal Guard as the youngest member among them and went on to teach and practice swordsmanship with Princess Chara. For the most part he is someone serious and considerably quiet, but he is a little more expressive whenever he should, he is very kind and gentlemanly but very reserved despite being surrounded by people.

Kris tiene una reputación complicada, es conocido por ser un poderoso, inteligente y adinerado duque, el único miembro de su casa Heronaor, con gran influencia en la realeza por lo que tiene muchas personas alrededor suyo siempre que los demás nobles ven la oportunidad de acercarse, pero también es conocido por su "extraña" cercanía con la princesa Chara y por los rumores de haber asesinado a sus padres cuando este era un niño para obtener el poder de sus riquezas, muchos piensan que es extraño y que muy probablemente los rumores sean ciertos, pero hacen la vista gorda por su dinero. Fue criado por sus sirvientes y pasado un tiempo de la muerte de sus padres se adentró a la guardia Real siendo el miembro más joven entre ellos y pasar a enseñar y practicar esgrima con la princesa Chara. En gran parte es alguien serio y considerablemente callado, pero es un poco más expresivo siempre que debe, es muy amable y caballeroso pero muy reservado a pesar de estar rodeado de personas.

Like hello? They’re almost 1 to 1 the same characteristically except for a few details that can be explained by the differences in the timelines.
y'know with all the courage motifs going on in deltarune, seemingly replacing determination for Kris I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that Kris' soul was actually a bravery one before we were super imposed onto them.
I think it'd be a pretty cool twist all things considered. We're so used to playing as a red soul so we don't question it, but in reality we have no idea if that was always Kris' soul. If it turns out that Kris' soul was replaced with ours then I wouldn't be shocked if it's a different type all together.
I think shits going to hit the fan hard in the next chapter. Something tells me that if the knight is a lightner, which they almost certainly are, they're going to follow us into the Dreemurr house dark world.

Pure speculation here, but since deltarune has a lot of metanarrative stuff going on, what if the knight also follows this?
Ralsei seems determined to keep Kris (and by extension us) on the path of the hero who's going to save the world by sealing the fountains. Throughout the game he railroads the party down this narrative constantly and gets rather agitated when things go in a way that they're "not supposed to." (see his reaction to susie in chapter 1, the spamton fight aftermath or most scenes with him on the weird route). He knows what direction the plot needs to go in and it trying to guide us in that direction.
The story has a hero who is trying to save the world (Kris) by sealing the dark fountains and an antagonist that is trying to end it (the knight) by creating the dark fountains. Seems simple enough.
but Kris has now gone against that narrative by making their own fountain before the knight makes their next move. By playing the role of the knight themselves they've brought the world one step closer to damnation for seemingly no reason. You'd assume the knight would be happy with this since it makes their presumed plan of "destroy the world" easier.
But what if they're not.
What if the knight, the antagonist of this story gets angry that their role is being overtaken by the hero. That the way their story is supposed to go has been derailed by the protagonist fighting their own fate.
What if the knight ends up being a dark parallel of Ralsei. Knowing how the story is supposed to go and becoming confused and angry when things suddenly divert from that story.
In a battle of light vs dark like deltarune, what happens when the hero starts to fight using darkness as well?
Well the knight would only have two options.
Tip the scales and end the world.
Or seal Kris' fountain themselves.
What if we're not the ones to seal chapter 3's fountain?
This could also add to why susie acts so… reluctant? About her bullying of Kris in chapter 1. In the first chapter, while she’s still mean I notice that she almost constantly backs down on her threats and jabs, never even waiting for Kris to react to the things she says.
Something that a lot of people have pointed out is just how much worse Susie’s bullying is in the secret post compared to her more reserved nature in the game, (to an uncomfortable degree) to the point where it was theorised that it was intentionally written to seem out of character.
But now that you've brought this up, it seems much more likely that Susie did used to be so much worse, it's just that whatever Kris said to her that day shook her so badly that she started to mellow out.

So I see a lot of people theorising that Kris replied back to Susie something like ‘what like you?’ or ‘like your mom?’ or something like that, which is a possibility.
However I saw one person on twitter suggest another possible reply that is even more harrowing in my opinion.
And that was “good.”
I’m actually more inclined to believe that especially because of Susie reaction afterwards.
If what Kris had replied was insulting I think she would just get more angry, but instead, Susie was shocked. Noelle said that her whole demeanour changed and that she backed off quickly , this is important, it indicates that was Kris said disturbed her.
I think that sort of reaction out of Susie would’ve come more from Kris indicating wanting to be gone, or some sort of agreement that their mum would be happy if they did so.
Noelle also mentioned that Susie is head was held low, which of course may just be because she was upset at what Kris said if it was something equally cruel. However, to me it also shows shame,
because she realised that she was picking on someone who already wants to disappear.
